ITunes Store loop

Honestly, I don't know what's going on right now. I tried making an in-app purchase and its telling me to verify my payment information. I verified by putting in my security code since that was the only thing blank to fill in. But when I filled it in, it wouldn't save. It would just continue to stay blank, thus, I am unable to make an in-app purchase and I'm stuck in this loop.

    Hi,
    Can anyone out there assist with a stuck on "accessing iTunes store" loop?  I cannot purchase or download already purchased season passes. I have the latest itunes software. Navigatig the itunes store is not a problem.
    Steps I've taken to resolve the issue thus far:
    -restarting my mac pro
    -signing out of itunes and signing back in (I could sign out but not sign back in.  Signing back in produced the same loop.)
    -checked my itunes software, I have 11.0.2
    -checked my Mac Book Pro software, I have version 10.8.3
    All attempts have been unsuccessful.  Any help is much appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Touch inaccessible & iTunes store loop NOT the original issue

    I've been suffering that nag screen for weeks but its now changed so that it doesn't return the error just a never ending loop of being presented with the iTunes store! There's literally no way out of it.
    Syncing via right clicking the Touch doesn't solve the problem as right clicking doesn't actually present the Touch front page so I can't change any settings or add any video which I have been doing manually.

    Thanks but that's not a solution - Apple have to fix this as until yesterday when I declined the apps there was the error message and the Touch was available. Apple have changed something and the error message isn't generated, instead there's an OK screen (let's leave aside the issue that Apple isn't respecting my choice to decline) and the only exit from it is to the iTunes store... repeatedly.
    Now I can't get in and I think, like most people, I multi-task and its simply not convenient to unplug my router to sync my Touch there's too much going on at any time and I'm quite likely to need to do it more than once a day.

  • Can no longer access iTunes store nor log into Apple ID account

    I can suddenly no longer log into iTunes store and my over 10 year old Apple ID log in information seems to have been corrupted.
    Apple ID and pasword are unrecognized, and what's weird, when I get directed to My Apple ID to reset the password,
    I do NOT receive the promised email to reset that password.
    Last window will say "Email has been sent. When you receive your sign in information, follow the directions in the email to reset your password.
    - but NO email is coming!
    HELP!
    Do not want to set up a new account, since I would hate to lose all previous purchases etc...

    Update: after some internet and support research, I was finally able to fix the Apple ID problem!
    It seems the issue traces back to setting up a new iPhone 4S and signing up for iCloud in the process a couple of weeks ago..
    It seems it was a conflict of email addresses, associated with both the origianl Apple ID and the new iCloud account (iCloud orces you to set up a new account, since only email address Apple IDs work on iCloud).

  • My iTunes store will not open, it keeps showing me a page for 10.3 iTunes that I cannot get rid of.

    I cannot get into my iTunes store, I have an old windows PC that my iTunes is set up to. It keeps showing me a page with information on iTunes 10.3 every time I click on iTunes store & I cannot get rid of it. The links it gives me to download do not work, I have gone to apple.com & downloaded it but it still shows up in iTunes. I have tried everything I can think & every loop hole I can find & I can't get rid of it. I have contact Apple twice in the last two days, once through express lane that said they would get back to me within 24 hours(has been 48 with no response) & once through there 1800 number which gave me a machine to talk to that e-mailed me "tips" that I have already tried.
    Need HELP!

    Sorry but the problem has re-occurred....
    I have to reboot the pc every single time because I lose my taskbar and desktop.  This time I noticed that it said it was loading the HP Adviser....and that is when I got a completely blank screen again. ????   I am at a loss  ???  It has no function keys on it at all...no x to close it....just a blank screen with jsut the words   Internet Protected mode on.   and then the sizing button and the off button next to it...(can be automatically block, choose content to block etc).  Its on off. 
    Now is it co-incidence but it was operating well until Magnetic changed the wallpaper (its supposed to do it every hour) and that seems to be when the issue re-occurred  ???
    Am I just best to uninstall the Magnetic wallpapers and just put up with the boring ones from Windows ?
    I really do not like Windows 7, its not as easy as it makes out...I prefer XP to 7 !!!  At least I learnt how to use that.

    Hello,
    I made a mistake creating my Apple id (wrong email address used as my Apple id on other account) for the iTunes store. How can I erase this account when i cannot confirm the email address (because it is not the right email/apple id, I cannot access the account)? It is bothering me especially since I have entered my banking info. FYI, I have obviously created another apple id with the right email address (this is this account).

This doesn’t resolve my problem; an old account seems to be blocking all new accounts (we have created 3 so far, and each one is bringing up an error about something being used already (we changed the address, the username and the password to no avail), taking us into a whole series of loops we can’t seem to stop). I just wanted to get rid of all those inoperative accounts (including an old one from 2004) and create a single, new one...

    You can move your iTunes library.. Apple have explicit instructions to do it. If the library is moved to the TC and accessed over wireless, the efficiency of the whole system will drop dramatically..
    A file you download goes.. Modem---TC--Laptop--Back to TC--Store on disk. Double looping the wireless slows it dramatically..
    As far as using TC for your iTunes.. you CAN.. but SHOULD YOU?

    This is asked several times a day.. obviously people are struggling with their latest SSD being too small.
    The TC is not suitable for network file server.. but many people having no choice press it into service as such.
    It cannot be partitioned. It was and is and ever shall be a backup device for Time Machine.
    Major issues.
    1. No backup.. no way Time Machine can backup a network drive. No place to backup to.. So all your files will be at risk. And you will need to buy a third party like CCC to do backup.
    2. The TC cannot be partitioned and mixing TM backups and data is not great.
    3. The drive is slow to spin up and quick to spin down.. there is no controls.
    4. iPhoto in particular can easily corrupt its entire library with wireless networking causing a disconnection to one photo. Even if you do this;;; do not move your photo library... you have been warned!!
    5. iTunes will constantly lose connection to the library. The disk is too slow to respond.. itunes on the computer will constantly spit out errors. Even in the midst of streaming the TC can spin down the disk due to caching.
    6. Do not use any live files on the TC no matter what else you do.. if you edit files in whatever program the file must be on the local hard disk.
    7. The only suitable location for most libraries is a computer. You can plug in an external hard disk.

  • Since Yesterday I can't access iTunes Store

    Hi,
    On 8/7 i began experiencing an error to connect to iTunes Store when I am trying to buy items in the shop of a game my son plays and it has persisted for 2 days now. I have purchased items successfully in the past from this same game.
    There was an issue with the iTunes Store yesterday but apparently it has been resolved and I'm still experiencing this issue. I'm worried my app is in a loop.

    I've been having the same problem trying to use iTunes match.  It started yesterday and is still ocurring today. Getting an error message that there is an iTunes connection problem.  Seems they haven't really corrected the problem that they say was resolved yesterday.

  • January Software Upgrade - Availability outside the iTunes Store countries

    I have (an iPod Touch) model number that should receive a free January Software Upgrade as stated in the Apple Price Protection Policy.
    Mention that it was bought in the European Union, France, while I was on vacation. However I don't see an option to upgrade in iTunes without being asked for an iTunes Store country credit card. I currently reside in Romania(which is also part of the E.U.).
    I searched the support pages and I didn't a Apple customer support email address to send my complaint to.
    How can I receive the upgrade? Is this upgrade limited to ITNS countries?

    I had thought not, but I tried last week after a discussion with someone from Apple (Asia Pacific). I had earlier bought the QuickTime Pro licence but that was with help, so I registered at the Hong Kong online store and bought the licence for Aperture 2. As for hardware, as far as I am aware, No.
    For me as well, the country I am in does not have an Apple online store (or an Apple store come to that) and the distribution system is somewhat different. Those who wish to be "in the loop" use a franchise system -- iStudio and iBeat.
    I would hope that the Apps Store would take a different route. Some friends here do have credit cards issued in other (acceptable) countries and they are able to buy from iTunes stores. I have been here so long that all my credit cards are Thai issued -- fine when I go to San Francisco or London; fine with the online Apple shop; fine with music purchases from a number of sources in the US; but not for iTMS. I can sort of accept restrictions on the music and videos (try the BBC for tight-a** behaviour), but the iPod touch software burns.

  • Fix for cannot connect to iTunes store

    I have been working on this problem (iTunes for Windows) since April 2012 and finally got it working. I have gone through all the suggested "advanced" trouble shooting procedures with no luck. I even tried opening a work order with them which was a waste of time because they had me retry everything I had already tried and never read my responses. I am attaching all my notes on what I have tried since the beginning. What I think was the issue all along was .net 4. The fix was listed in 12-03-12 where I removed everything, including .net 4, installed an earlier version back when iTunes was still working. I am now running version 11.0.1.12 and it is still working, Good Luck!

    Did repair of .net 4 from control panel, add/remove programs
    Did repair of iTunes from control panel, add/remove programs
    Went to store tab, review my Apple ID, it displayed my account info
    From there went to the music icon, selected one of the drop down options
    Store displayed all the music in that category
    Store is still working

    Removed iTunes, all the apple crap, bonjour and QuickTime
    Rebooted and reinstalled an earlier version of  iTunes ver 10.3.1 9 (still didn't work)
    Removed .NET (it was ver 4)
    Rebooted and retried iTunes, still no iTunes store.
    Removed iTunes ver 10.3.1, rebooted and reinstalled iTunes ver 10.3.1 with no .NET stuff at all and it worked.
    So iTunes didn't need the .NET stuff to work but it must have been corrupted in a way that won't let it connect to the iTunes store correctly.
    Next I am going to upgrade to the latest version without .NET to see if it still works. If not I will fall back.

    When I called Apple (after wating 42 min. for a live person) I was told to run the APPLE Software Update and turn off location services then restart my computer.  There were no available updates. The iPod touch I got on Christmas day.  The iTunes app was downloaded the same day.  Since day 1 I have not been able to connect.  I also followed lllaass's advice and followed instructions on the following 2 websites.

    After restarting my computer:
    From the iTunes app I click on the 'iTunes Store'
    A new window opens and I get the following message:
    This Apple ID has not yet veen used with the iTunes Store.
    Please review your account information
    So I click on 'Review' and am taken to a crude screen that says
    Welcome to the iTunes Store
    With an Apple ID, you can download the latest music, videos, and more.
    To begin creating your Apple ID, click Continue.
    So I click on 'Continue'
    A pop up window says:
    We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202).
    There was an error in the iTunes Store.  Please try again later.
    And the only option I am left with is to click 'OK'
    After every fix this same scenerio just loops and loops and loops

    recently had to reinstall my system files on my Mac, subsequently when I try to play my purchased Itunes I get the dreaded computer not authorized loop bug. Tried all fixes including trashing SC info, preferences and etc. nothing fixes this bug. So bye bye Itunes store, with on every unhappy Itunes/Mac customer.

    You could start by upating your Mac OS from 10.4.7 to 10.4.11.
    Since you no longer want to fix it, never mind.

  • Payment Info for iTunes store - technical difficulties? tried multiple time

    I'm kind of new to these forums but I have a problem...
    I have been trying to activate an iTunes store account for a while and I have my email and password and everything set up but when I try and "review payment information" (which a dialog box tells me to do every time I sign in), I agree to the terms, I enter everything - address, phone, card information, all that, and I keep getting a red error message at the top of the screen saying "We are sorry, the iTunes store is experiencing technical difficulties at this time. Please try again later." Or something of that sort. It is getting really annoying and I'm getting really frustrated because all I want to do is activate my account!!! It seems like every time I try and sign up for something with Apple, they are always "experiencing technical difficulties" or I am told "try again later". It gets really old really fast.
    Has anyone had this problem? Better yet fixed it? Maybe its my ISP?
    Anyone who is willing to help me out with the iTunes issue would be greatly appreciated.

    You are not alone!
    I've had an account for a long time but for the past few days I've been unable to buy anything because I find myself stuck in a loop. Every single time I try to make a purchase I have to click a Billing info button and then check my payment details which haven't changed and worked fine before. I've tried removing my payment details and re-entering them but now I'm presented with a message that payment processing is not available, please try again later.
    It seems the store is having problems and for me it was fine before the iPhone, App Store and MobileMe launches so I'm guessing there's a connection.
    Best thing to do is contact iTunes Support which have always been helpful for me on the few times I've had to contact them.

    Hey everybody,
    I also was experiencing the unknown error -42018 when attempting to download purchased music. Additionally, I was stuck in an endless authorization loop when attempting to play previously purchaed music. All this started when I installed the latest iTunes software 7.0.2.
    I run windows XP Pro, and unlike the majority of users I actually set it up correctly with a dedicated administrator account, and regular user accounts instead of just running as admin all the time. For me, that was the cause of the problem.
    The new version of iTunes software required FULL CONTROL privilages on the iTunes and iPod install directories for all user accounts that were using the program. (Previous versions worked fine, so this is a new thing.) Once I provided those permissions, iTunes worked correctly.   • Cannot access shopping cart in iTunes store.

    I can access the iTunes store just fine; however, I can't get to my shopping cart.
    I can no longer access my shopping cart. I clicked on it today and was prompted to agree to new terms and conditions; I did so. I was then forwarded to another screen which indicated my purchase could not be completed at this time, and my selection in the left-hand column was automatically changed from 'Shopping Cart' to 'iTunes Store.' From this point, whenever I've selected 'Shopping Cart' I've received an error prompt (Unknown error 5002).
    I decided to update my iTunes version, but that has not helped at all.

    Spent a while in the "loop" myself (agreeing to new terms for iTunes 7.6 (29), then reviewing my account info.) - now I'm out of the loop but still getting the 5002 error. I tried signing out & signing back in, quitting, restarting, fiddling with one-click, and everything else I've seen in various discussion boards. Still no luck.
    Anybody have any definitive answer???
