Itunes store playback cuts off after 15 seconds

This just started recently with only the introduction of a new (6th Gen) iPod. Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem. Saw Windows issue with this, but not Mac.

It may be a corrupt / damaged download.

I understand you are having issues with playback of a purchased song. If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, it might be best to delete the song from your computer, then re-download from your purchase history.
To delete a song the following Knowledge Base article offers how to delete from your iOS device:

Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Launch iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Music.
Click Songs in the navigation bar.
Click the song you want to delete.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
In iTunes 11, the album cover art will remain visible, but a cloud icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).
Note: If you didn't purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you won't be able to download it again for free from iTunes in the Cloud. You might want to back it up somewhere on your computer.
Afterwards, re-download the purchases from your purchase history:

Video playback audio cuts off after few second

Pictures are fine but audio cuts off sometime around 5-10 seconds for the entire duration of the video unless you skip the video further a few seconds where the sound cuts off,audio are back but only for maybe 1 or 2 minutes then if you repeat the same step audio are back but again for only a few minutes,only occurs when not using headphones,but when I am using headphones video and the audio plays fine for the entire duration of the video.It annoys me as I don't usually use earphone.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all videos and resync/redownload
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

New iTunes Store Songs Cut Off Early

I just downloaded two new songs from the Store. Each cuts off and ends with about a minute left. Having paid for both songs, I expect them to play. Is this fixable?

I have the same problem. It's disappointing that there aren't more replies to this issue two years later. I just delete the song from iTunes and then delete the song file in the iTunes Library. Then I go back to the store and redownload it. It asks if you would like to "purchase" the song again. Say Yes. You can download the song for free(You won't have to pay again). Then you have to listen to that song to see if it's complete. Sometimes I have to do this several times before I finally get the full song WHY??? When there are several songs on one album that are incomplete this can be a very tedious process. I bought an album today and a few of the songs are cut off like this. So I'm off to try to get my money's worth...

Only in MS2 EXS cuts off after 2 seconds

This is only happening in the EXS Sampler, and only in MS2. At some point I"ll hear a little pop and then any sound on the EXS sampler dies after 2 seconds, if I have a patch that's layerd with let's say a piano in the EXS and strings from one of the synths, the synth sustains fine, the piano dies after 2 seconds, it will happen with any sound loaded into the EXS. I have re-created the concert from scratch and it still happens. Very frustrating that I have had MS2 and still cannot trust using it live.

I'm not sure this is new in 2.1.1 nor limited to Mainstage, despite you only seeing it in MS... it's come up before.
Is it occurring with any EXS instrument, or always the same one? How about the patch it's in, same one or different every time? Have you tried changing any of the settings in the Virtual Memory options in EXS?
Anything you can think of that might be similar each time it's occurred... like a fast run of notes, holding the sustain pedal, etc.?
Oh, how about vibration? I think that recent model machines have sensors to stop the disk spinning in case of a drop, etc. If this occurs when there's a load of vibration it could that the drive is parking.

I had a virus on the pc I have itunes on. I had to reload itunes and tell it to find my music. After gettingh the itunes going again, I reloaded both my ipods and now, purchased music cuts off after 10 seconds. Not all music but some.

I had a virus on the pc I have itunes on. The person who fixed it, put all files in 1 file and put it on the desktop. I could not access the itunes at all so finally, I reloaded Itunes and got all my music back. When I synched both my ipods, it had to erase the ipod and load the current page...no problem. Today I had my ipod on shuffle and the songs started to play. Then a song came on and it played part of the song and went to the next one. It started doing this on about every 3 songs. I got home and tried to play the song off my itunes page and the samething happened. This is music I bought from itunes.
I am not a pc person and this is totally frustrating me.

Hey so my song cuts off after 40 seconds and goes to the next song in my playlist how do i fix this?

From your description you are looking at the song from iTunes as it exists on your iDevice. The functionality you are referring to applies when selecting the song in your library, in which case you get the full menu of options like this:
Depending on other settings, you may be able to add the song to a playlist on your device from those listed at the top of the submenu when you select Add to Playlist. The Show in Playlist option that you refer to doesn't modify anything - it just lists and allows you to select any other playlists that contain the same song.
Likewise, the options available for creating new playlists from the "mini menu" at the top left of the screen apply only if you have your library selected, not your device. In the latter case you will see this:

I find the most effective approach to be to create and modify playlists within iTunes - as part of the library - and then sync to iDevices, rather than trying to modify any device content directly.

TS1424 Try to download 3 purchased songs, & each one cuts off after a second & says "unable to download at this time, please retry". Has done this for hours.

Why does audio in Tremolo and Legato mode cut off after 3 or 4 seconds???

Question regarding the symphony orchestra section when it comes to bass, string, cello, viola in Tremolo and Legato modes: why does the sound cut off after 3 seconds.
Let's say you have Viola, Tremolo section selected, how do you make the sound not cut off after 3 seconds. What if you want it lasting 6 or 7 seconds???
Can you override that limitation???

Most likely a network issue. Power cycle the router.
Disable any firewall on the computer, if issue is using AirPlay from a computer.
Ensure the router is running the most current firmware.
If the ATV is connected via Wi-Fi, try ethernet.
Change the Wi-Fi channel if ethernet is not an option.

I had the same problem, finally found a similar question on here and what resolved it! Hope this works for you..
1st:click START
2nd: ACCESSORIES
3rd: RIGHT CLICK on COMMAND PROMPT *a window will pop up..which will say "Run as Admin." ..you must put in Admin. password*
4th: CLICK CONTINUE
5th: *a black screen then comes up..and from where the words end (it's blinking)...continue from there... simply type
ipconfig/flushdns ...then it the ENTER KEY

It seems after I do a sync, some of my songs are cut off after a few seconds of playing. This has happened several times. What is the problem?

Every now and then (I think it is after I do a sync) my songs cut off after the first few seconds. I went back to itunes and check the song and now the song can't be found. Or, the song cuts of there also.............The songs played fine up until this point. This has happened several times in the past year.

To delete all music from the iPod go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
In iTunes on computer right click on select delete.
To redownload iTunes purchases:

A particular song on my iPod keeps cutting off after just a few seconds. When I play the song in iTunes it plays just fine. I've tried deleting the song from my iPod and reloading it, but it still does the same thing. Try my script FindTracks. Select a few of the missing files to start with then run the script. Choose No at the first prompt so that you can check how it works track by track, then confirm or edit the location of the media folder where your files are. Once you are happy with how it behaves let it process larger numbers of tracks automatically.

Garage Band/Guitar Help! My notes keep cutting off after a few seconds

So, I am having this problem where when I play my electric guitar, notes don't carry after a few seconds, especially if I try to bend the note. Cords seem to have sustain but whenever I play a solo string and try to bend or tremelo it, it cuts off within a second or two. When I say cuts off I mean the sound completely vanishes. Is there a fix for this? I tried the Squash Compressor but this failed.
Thanks and hope there is a fix as this is killing my jam.
