ITunes Store Preview Script

I downloaded from "Doug's Scripts" a while back a script that once you ran it would start playing the preview of the first song of an album in the iTunes store, and it would then go to song 2 play it, then 3, and so on...
It now does not work in iTunes 9. Does any one know where I can get a script that will work? While working I run the script then scan through albums and if I like them I buy them. It is too distracting without the script because you have hit play on song 1, the hit play on song 2, etc....
Any thought or help with this would be appreciated.

After getting rid of the Helvetica font and the itunes store working, apparently you can just drag it right back out of the recycle bin:

hi,
i'm using a windows 8 pro computer, from the first release of itunes 11 unitl the 11.0.2 version, my itunes store preview history is not showing up...i tap the box and is all white...on my idevice it's working just fine...
what can i do to solve this?

Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
Worked for me, so happy! Hope it does for all you lot too!

ITunes store has script problems

when i go to the itunes store after opening iTunes, the descriptions below the album icons is in code or script instead of english. Some of the other info on the iTunes store homepage is also in code or script.
I reinstalled iTunes but it did not fix the problem.

ITunes crashes airplaying iTunes store preview to Apple TV 2

Hi Everyone! I am kind of stumped and can't seem to find an answer anywhere.Maybe someone here has had the same problem and can help me.
I'm up to date on all software. I am using the newest iTunes (although thishas been happening for a few versions) on a Windows 7 64bit PC.
If I open iTunes and play/preview anything to the apple TV 2 from the iTunesStore, after few song previews iTunes stops playing and locks up solid. Icannot do anything without doing an end process.
Side note: I started reading and managed to do a little more damage thangood I think trying to fix this problem. I removed all entries in my windowsfirewall suspecting this might be the problem, and after a reboot I figuredit'd ask to re-add the rules again when I used iTunes next. Didn't happen. So Idid a software repair and put all the entries back, but now it simply saysconnecting to the apple TV and doesn't go further... I eventually get a -15000error. I thought it was just the windows firewall period, and I shut it offcompletely since I have a hardware firewall. Still the same result. (I realizeI did goof some settings in the firewall that I have to fix later, but thefirewall is off for now)
I can play movies and music to and from the apple TV with my iTunes library,but if I preview a song from the iTunes store on the PC to apple TV, itcrashes.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'd like to find a solution withoutremoving iTunes and re-installing... I've got such a large library and what apain that'd be!

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

TS3297 Does anyone know how to fix a problem where iTunes store previews (just music, not movies) stop after anywhere between 9 and 13 seconds of playback?

Basically, when I try to listen to any music previews, it cuts out inexplicably after more or less 10 seconds. The movie previews work fine. The iTunes diagnostic showed up clean, and I have already reinstalled iTunes as well as restarted my computer. Any ideas?

Well I think I fixed it, but with Apple you can never be sure. Just previewed 5 songs and all previewed ok. I reviewed the thread above and some other related threads and all seemed to reference DNS at some point. So I changed my DNs provider in Windows
Network connections->properties->IPV4->properties-> Primary DNS = 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS = 4.2.2.1 .
Primary is the Google DNS server, secondary is the old old old VZ DNS (used to be GTE I think). My default was Verizon's Fios DNS. 8.8.4.4 and 4.2.2.2 are other google and VZ servers if you want the same provider for primary and secondary. I split them in case one has issues.
Then DOS CMD: ipconfig /flushdns
This seemed to resolve the issue, but can't be sure something in Apple servers, etc didn't change. I am wondering if there is something evil in the iTunes Store VZ FIOS DNS interaction, but can't be sure. At least worth a shot if you still have the issue. Ironic the google DNS servers fixed an issue with Apple.

Why do iTunes Store preview samples quit after a few seconds?

When I click on the preview for songs in iTunes now, the song quits after only a few seconds. This problem started just today. I have restarted the computer and have reinstalled iTunes.

1. Use these DNS: Google and Verizon DNS

2. Then apply these instructions:
Windows XP
On the Start menu, click Run.
In the Open field type cmd and click OK.
In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return(Enter) on the keyboard.
You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
Windows Vista and Windows 7
On the Start menu, point to All Programs > Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator from the shortcut menu. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return(Enter) on the keyboard.
You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
Your problem should be 100% solved

ITunes Gift Card and now "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store."

My wife was using my computer yesterday and was entering in a gift card number that I gave her. Well, the card had a number missing or something and she tried all types of combinations. After some time she showed me an error (-50 if I recall) and since then I get "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
It had been working for weeks. So now, I tried a few other applications to get some more information and I found this:
Failed 'authorizeMachine':null
So, can someone tell me what to do, or remove my MAC address from Apple's iTunes store anti-scripting program

Me too. I upgraded to 7.02 iTunes. It hasn't happened before till the new upgrade. I'm using Windows 2000. I even renamed My Music, iTunes and iPod to "Old" and reinstalled the disc that came with my iPod Nano. It still will not connect. Make sure your Firewall is not being used while trying to connect. Or your ISP is probably prohibiting use to iTunes Music Store. Maybe a Anti-Virus Software program.
If Apple is trying to fix their bugs due to the new upgrade the are giving, they need to give free music for the inconvenience of their customers not being able to connect. My internet connection is active. My husband is a network guru and even he is surprised it doesn't work. Maybe my Hughes.net ISP is prohibiting use. We are trying everything.

Try my script FindTracks. Select a few of the missing files to start with then run the script. Choose No at the first prompt so that you can check how it works track by track, then confirm or edit the location of the media folder where your files are. Once you are happy with how it behaves let it process larger numbers of tracks automatically.

Previewing videos in iTunes store

hey i dont know if this has happened to anybody else but when im in the itunes store and i preview a video the video plays for about 10 seconds and then stops.. why does this happen?.. help would be great

When I go to preview any video in the iTunes store, I just get a blank pop-up square but the video never play. I also have this problem in Safari 5 (some videos work, some don't - those that don't work in chrome).

Is it an issue connecting to the store, or signing into your account? For example, can you browse through the store and preview songs, search for artists, etc, but you can't purchase anything, or sign into your account? A lot of people... namely Starbucks employees, have been having trouble siging into their accounts due to a free song sampler they received. It had two codes, one for a small song playlist (the sampler) and another for a free song download. We've ALL had a problem signing in after entering the code for a free song. It's now become much more trouble than that one song was worth. Keep e-mailing them and maybe we'll see some results.

Previewing music in itunes store

is there a "play all" function when previewing music in the itunes store, like if i am previewing an album? a lot of times i am doing other stuff on my comp while previewing music at the same time and it gets annoying having to switch back and forth every 30 sec. to go to the next song, while it would be easier to just have all of the songs play through.

Don't have time to test it now, and don't know if it will work for your situation, but you can drag items from the iTunes Store onto a playlist. This may give you the continuous playback you want.

Why is previewing songs in the iTunes Store causing a problem for me?

I don't have a problem playing music in my iTunes library or navigating around it, my problem is in the iTunes Store. If I select 'See All >' after searching for something in particlar then select a song and start scrolling down the page it becomes unresponsive. The 'time elapsed' freezes but the music keeps playing and I can move my cursor around the page but the page itself is at best unbelievably slow to respond and at worst completely unusable until the preview ends. The CPU usage rises to around 30% and stays at about that, fluctuating slightly, until the music stops. I've tried uninstalling iTunes and the programs that come with it and reinstalling them all but that was a waste of time.

My Itunes previews have been playing fully now for the past few days. After trying every suggestion possible to fix the problem of 5-10 second previews, I took the advice on one feed to use OpenDNS for your network internet connection. There are internet sites that will instruct you how to do it. Just Google "opendns for (your operating system)". I have Windows XP and followed a video instruction at www.top-windows-tutorals.com/using-opendns.html. Afterward, close your browser and then flush the DNS Resolver cache; Start/Run, type CMD in the open field, click OK, in resulting window type ipconfig/flushdns, press return on keyboard. No guarantees, but my browser is faster and my Itunes previews are playing fully so far. But I still shudder every time I hit the preview button.

An't see itunes store video previews

I can't see any video previews in itunes even though I hear the audio (either in the artwork window or the itunes store window). Anyone able to help? Thanks!
