ITunes Store SLOW to load

I've tried searching the forums and online before posting this question, but the iTunes Store is extremely slow loading. Everything with the library works fine, but the store "progress" bar paints about 50% with "Accessing iTunes Store" and then several minutes later, pictures and text start appearing (if at all) with improper placement.
Any thoughts? All software is up-to-date Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's a good point. On my MBP, everything works just fine, so it's not an internet connectivity issue. Both machines are running the same anti-virus/firewall software with the same settings. The MBP is wireless via Time Capsule, whereas the iMac is hardwired to TC. The only difference is the entire library is on the iMac and AppleTV pulls from it for both audio & photos.
But these are all "library" issues, which are unaffected. It's only the "store" and the rendering of the pages within it. I tried the parental settings trick to disable iTunes Store & iTunes U - sped right up on display. But as soon as I changed settings so I could actually access content? Slowed right down...
Any other thoughts??
Thanks

  • ITunes store slow to load - Locks up Mac

Every time I go to load the Apple iTunes store on my Mac Book Pro it locks my machine up and takes forever to load preventing anything else from running. But using iTunes to play my downloaded and ripped music and movies works fine.
Updates for camera compatibility ran today but the problem reared it's ugly head over the weekend. Update for printers ran last Friday. But can't imaging that would be the problem. Ran an update for Line 6 drivers for my recording software (Reason 6.5) over the weekend. but that is self contained and runs without issue.
Running wireless N. All other Apple devices (iPhone, iPod, etc.) access the store without issue. Haven't tried loading iTunes on PC yet to see if I have the same issue. Also tried to overwrite current version with a dwonload from Apple but still same problem (and ofcourse with Lioon you can't delete iTunes...... hmf!
    Everything else runs fine.
    Any ideas?

  • ITunes Store Slow to Load Over AT&T LTE

    Hello Everyone,
Is anyone having difficulty getting the iTunes Store to open on their iPhone using AT&T LTE?
Lately, I have been experiencing this problem.  When I use WiFi, it opens fine, however, if I am using LTE it takes almost 5 minutes for it to finally
    open.
    I am running ios 7.0.4 on a 64GB iPhone 5.
All other apps (including the App Store) open fine over LTE.  The problem only affects the iTunes Store.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

AT&T claims they are not throttling my data as I am no where near the data usage limit which triggers throttling.
Additionally, the App Store would show significant lag time when opening (as iTunes does) but it does not.

  • My itunes store will not load i keep getting a blank white screen

My itunes store will not load when i click on the store a blank white screen will come up and only that

I have a MacBook Pro and it could be a really simple solution. I had the same problem after updating my iTunes. I finally got through to a guy at Apple who took the time to help me. I use Firefox everyday, but apparently the iTunes Store runs off of Safari. All I had to do was download the most recent version of Safari. Literally, that was it. So easy. • I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes

I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes store pop up like they normally would when browsing the itunes store but when I click on one of them, it is a blank page. Is there a setting I need to change? Does it just take an extremely long time to load? Please help!!

    Bucktr09:
I'm having the exact same problem.  I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen.  I can get my library content but the store is a no go.  Is there any one out there with a solution?

  • The iTunes store does not load when I open it

So I recently had to install the latest version of iTunes after I upgraded to the newest version of iOS on my iPhone 4 (iOS 6.0.1) because the older iTunes version wasn't compatable with the newest iOS version. I had been using a much older version of iTunes becuase every time I would update the iTunes store without fail would stop working. I spent almost an entire day trying to fix it like 6-8 months ago and I finally got it to work with one of the older versions, which was why I was mad that I had to update it again.
Anyways, the iTunes store will not load at all. Everytime I open up iTunes on my computer (I have Windows Vista) and I try to go to the iTunes store, it never loads. It keeps saying "Accessing iTunes Store" (see image). I have tried to wait it out, but nothing ever changes.
I have already tried reinstalling iTunes and tried reinstalling the newest version, neither of which helped. I also tried what they suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123 but the only item that came up under the Winsock Providers tab was the Apple one.
Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

That's exactly like saying, "Hey, try this.  It didn't work either.  Good luck!"
It's the high-percentage play with the particular symptom set being reported. High-percentage implies that it doesn't work for some people. (Otherwise it'd be a 100% play.) So, it still makes sense for people to try it, even if it doesn't work for some people, because it does work for most people. Check other posts by wiclee using that set of instructions to get a better feel for the reliability of the advice in these circumstances. (Granted, that's a bit tricky given that only about 10-20 percent of people report back to say whether or not any advice (on any given topic) actually works.)

My ipod touch is not syncing, itunes store won't load, and icloud doesn't work!!!!!

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod

  • Itunes Store won't load.......!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Itunes Store won't load!!! I've been trying to access Itunes for like the past, I don't know, two weeks maybe, and every time I go to it, it doesn't cooperate. It usually won't load at all, but in the off chance it does, this really weird basic screen shows up. There are no pictures, or icons like in the normal Itunes, just a bunch of boxes and links that you click on. And, the kicker is the fact that even when I click on it, nothing happens. I've tried reloading the page, disconnecting and reconnecting my Internet connection, even going as far as to run diagnostics, and reinstalling the newest software 3 times!! Nothing is working!! Please help, I would be very grateful!!!!!!!

I have the same problem.  I have 64-bit Windows 7, all updates installed, anti-virus uninstalled, and have a specific firewall exception made just for iTunes, however the iTunes Store still refuses to load.  After waiting a (very long) period of time I get the following screen:
Sometimes I won't get this screen at all, and iTunes will finish loading with a blank screen.  All of my other computers can load iTunes perfectly fine.  This error occurred directly following the iOS 5 update for my iPhone.  Seeing as that the only computer affected was the one updating my iPhone, I figure there's some connection between the two.  I have
    cleared catche, cookies, everything
uninstalled and reinstalled all Apple software and components (and end processes)
    completely deleted my iTunes library
tried creating a new account, but can't even do that becuase I can't connect to the store
tired de-authorizing and re-authroized the account
    signing-out and signing back in
    disabled parental controls
made sure I WASN'T behind a proxy server
    I
Apple Support tried to help with my request but for some reason refused to listen to the notion that this problem occured because of an iOS5 update (and iTunes 10.5).  The only thing I haven't done is wipe my harddrive, which seems to be the only option now.
    Somebody please help.

  • Itunes store will not load please help

I am having a lot of trubble itunes store will not load can anyone help please help

I had the big stupid NoN response from the Itunes store and spent days researching.  Begin at
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/troubleshooting/
    Lotsa good stuff there.
In the end I found a software conflict with Speedbit's SpeedOptimizer v2.xx   aka  SPO.exe in my taskmanager's process list.
I found that by watching Norton Firewall complain about stuff while running in ADVANCED mode.
    Happy hunting.

  • Itunes store will not load stops half way

  • Itunes store will not load to create a new account

There are four members of my family.  Each family member has their own Windows user account, three with an itunes account.  I have been trying to create an account for my youngest son for three hours.  The itunes store will not load and gives a "not connected" message. The internet is working fine, and all three of the rest of us can access itunes and the store.  I have turned off all parental controls that could have been messing istore up.  How do I fix this?

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • Itunes Store will not load again.

Here we go again. Upgraded to iTunes 10.5, now iTunes Store will not load again in iTUnes. Tried the prior answer in Aug. 17, but does not work this time. Uninstalled iTunes and Apple App. Servce and Quicktime. Reinstalled iTunes from new download. Still not working. Using on XP sp3 machine. iTunes diagnostic says nothing wrong. It connects, but nothing shows in iTunes, just a blank screen. HELP....

  • ITunes store will not load. Im at a loss

For about 3 days now the iTunes store will not load. It merely reaches this point:
    +One Moment Please.+
    +Connecting to the iTunes Store.+
    Loading
+If iTunes doesn't open, click the iTunes application icon in your Dock or Windows Task Bar.+
(note this message is not from Safari it is from the iTunes Store window in iTunes) I have looked at the FAQ on this site and it's best suggestion was to reset the keychain which I have done, and to check that I have the latest iTunes which I think I do. (iTunes 9.0.3 (15)) Yet it has not worked.
When I try to update my applications for my iTouch it comes up with a message box saying:
+Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be busy.+
+Check your Internet connection or try again later+
As I said I have waited 3 days for the iTunes store not to be busy. I'm fairly new to macs so don't even really know how to go about diagnosing the issue or posting logs for you guys to look at if that would even help?
So your advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Brad

iTunes 9+ uses the Safari 4.0.3 or higher engine to connect to the iTunes Store. Check if your Safari is up to date. If you need an update, get it here (be sure to tick the Snow Leopard version): http://www.apple.com/safari/download/
Also, check in Safari > Preferences > Security and check that your cookies setting is either Always or Only from sites I visit.
If your problem still persists, look at this document for some solutions: iTunes for Mac: Possible iTunes Store errors, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1412
