ITunes Store - Stuff available abroad, but not in the US

Is there any way to purchase a song - or album - from a store outside of my native country? Want stuff by Within Temptation - available in the UK, but not here in the US. Any alternatives?

Same issue here... I'd like to know why I can't buy music from other countries than my own... I mean, I don't see any logical meaning here...
Because Licensing of music is different from country to country and each entity must be negotiated separately. So Band A has Liscece 1 in the US and License 2 in the UK. Negotiating with Artist A doesn't get you both Licenses 1 and 2 since they are completely different entities and must be negotiated separately. These Licenses are managed by different parties in almost every case and while the group representing Liscence 1 may be willing to deal with Apple, the group attatched to liscence 2 may not be. Apple has no say in this matter.

Unfortunately until if/when Apple open an iTunes store in Afghanistan you won't be able to have an iTunes accountand buy/download content - you won't be able to use another country's store as you need to be in a country and have a valid billing address in that country on your account, in order to use it.

Is part of iTunes store down? Purchased music not loading

Been trying off and on for a couple of hours to download music off iCloud. When I click on 'purchased' in iTunes I get the loading spinner but it never finishes.

The store itself seems to be okay. Just not this feature.

I've been having the same issue for the past three or four hours. All other parts of the iTunes store seem to work, but not the purchased items download area.

I have a possible solution.
I had same problem. Latest iTune, Latest iPhone.
Called the Mac Store, they put me to tech support - did not solve the problem
Uninstalled & reinstaled iTunes - did not solve the problem
What made the problem go away is this:
Updated half of the apps directly on my iPhone while connected on WiFi.
Ran a sync
iTunes transfered updates from iPhone to iTunes
Then when I tried to download the remainig updtes in iTunes it worked with no problem.
Now there is no problem. Looks like the install of updates directly worked like a roto-rooter. Does no make sense but it worked.

The only way I know is to purchase it as a gift.

I use itunes to store my music but I use Virtual DJ Broadcaster to play it. Somehow itunes has changed from Itunes Music Library to Itunes library. Virtual DJ does not Recognize the change.

Is it possible to Save my last library and Playlist and re-name everything else in my itunes account so it will again show "Itunes Music Library" Past libraries are of no consiquence . I'm hoping removing everything except the last Library on my computers will make Virtual DJ recognize it. I tried renameing the Library to "Itunes Music Library" but it did not work. I fear the problem is in the Registry and without the correct path I am reluctand to play around in there. Any help would be appreciated.

Incidentally, my first thought was to map a network share from the NAS to my computer, so that my music files appear on the Z: drive, say on my computer. I could then set up iTunes to store music etc in that folder, and to copy all new items to that folder. However, if I do that, all that'll happen is that on my NAS, the library file will become out of date as I add music to the collection but not to the index.

What you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, or this was a gift so you cannot contact the retailer, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

That means you have to sign into/view your account and review you account and make sure you have a valid payment method specified in your account.

Sorry, but there's nothing you can do to get that app if it's not available in the French iTunes Store. You can only use the iTunes Store of the country in which you live and have a valid payment method. All I can suggest is that you contact the developer of the app and urge him/her to make the app available in the French iTunes Store. Or look for a similar app that is available in your country's Store.

HT1386 I have synced the items from itunes to an iphone 4 without problem, except the two albums I just purchased did not sync. They show up on the itunes on my desktop and on my ipod, but not on the new iphone. What do I need to do?

I have an itunes account and an ipod, and when I purchased 2 albums on the computer they synced straight to the ipod. I bought an iphone and used the usb cord from the computer to it to sync the itunes albums to the new phone. Everything transfered, and those were albums I had uploaded (not purchased from the itunes store), except the two albmus I just purchased from the itunes store. They appear on my itunes on the computer and ipod, but not on the iphone. What did I fail to do or did I do incorrectly?

This might sound weird, but here's an idea which worked for me re music that was newly added to itunes and showed up in my ipod but wouldn't play - I simply played the tracks in itunes first, just a second of time or so will do it, not the whole track, then connect the ipod and sync again and this time they played - hope this helps.

There are 12,733 songs, a few dozen of which are not going to be in the Apple music library because they are unique to my collection. Also, some titled "Track XX" and no artist. I assume these would either not upload or else just be uploaded. But, after an overnight of step 2, the iTunes match program was still on song number 7384 or 12733 (it was on that number for over 12 hours). Looking in the music library, activating the iCloud icon and status fields, there were hundreds of songs with the status "waiting."

Well it could still be a software problem if you installed a third party program after the OS X wipe and install, because by booting into Safe Mode it disables certain functions of OS X and hardware. Check for updates or problems for all your third party software, include everything, including menulets, System Preference panes, hacks and so forth.
If you restored any sort of software from backup like TimeMachine, it likely was corrupted data and now is returned.
If the college tech support found a lot of dust clogging the rear exhaust vents behind the fans, then likely the heat damage done to the machine has already occured and can't be reversed. Video cards are usually first to go, which Safe Mode does disable the video card somewhat.
Run through this list of fixes, it's systematic in nature, also has a Hardware Test to see what's going on

Too bad this is occurring to a mere 4 year old machine, but dust will do that. Here is the culprit that Apple doesn't tell anyone about.

Hi,
Initially your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer. Once match completes its scan, your music will have been matched or uploaded. I suggest that you add iCloud status column to song view. This will tell you what has been matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting. What is the status of your tracks that are not playing.
If space is not an issue, I suggest that you keep the music on the internal hard drive otherwise you can delete the tracks and play from cloud. In both instances, you should maintain a back up of all your music on a separate hard drive.

It sounds like your issue here is that iTunes can not find the files for some of the songs you have brought into it. This happens occasionally even if the songs have not been moved from the location that iTunes places them on import or purchase. When you try to use the song, iTunes prompts you to find the file, as you have seen.
To find the file, use the information in this article to navigate through the iTunes media folders -
Locate and organize your iTunes files
If you are still unable to locate the files, you may need to download them from the iTunes store again, or rip them from your CDs. See this article for assistance with downloading your past purchases -
