ITunes Store switching

Please can you sort out for once & for all the ridiculous differences in your iTunes Store.
I am an English, living in Australia for the past 2yrs. I travel quite a lot spending varying lengths of time in many countries around the world. On my IOS devices I have apps purchased from many different iTunes markets on my travels trouble is, when they need updating, as all apps do, I can only update those apps available on the iTunes Store to which I'm currently connected to. To change, I have to change my iTunes Store, entering all my details for the country I require. Fortunately, I have the ability to do this for many countries, the point is though that I shouldn't have to. All my purchases are legally purchased from the iTunes store I bought them but. Soon as I change countries, I stop receiving notifications of updates.
Come on guys, this is the 21st century we're living in, technology connects all of us, after all, my IOS devices are all the same no matter where I purchased them from. If you need to retain this stupid separation at least have the decency to make switching a **** site easier, I shouldn't have to re-enter all my details again, I should just enter the information once, then have the ability to switch as required if that is we still have to retain this pointless separation.

Is it a work iPad or do you have an Exchange (e.g. a work) email address set up in the Mail app on it ? If you do then it's possible that your workplace, or the email account administrator, is blocking the iTunes Store app.

  • ITunes store switched to Japanese - how do I get back?

I have Japanese language packs installed on my Windows machine to run a Sony Librie. I accidentally plugged my iPod into Windows - iTunes wasn't installed but somehow it has subtly changed the language settings. The iPod is still showing English language and I did a reset all settings on it.
Anyway - when I plugged the iPod into the Mac - it opened iTunes but switched the iTunes store to Japan. I can't get out of it and all the interface dialogs are now in Japanese. What the ****? Any ideas how to get back to normal?

Go to the bottum and select USA or CANADA (look at the flags). If this doesn't help try going to the Windows help line thing cuz everyone here knows more about iMacs

  • ITunes Store - Switching between Store Accounts - 'This Computer is already associated with an Apple ID' error

    Howdy
So I have 2 store accounts, as I travel and live between two countries.  I have been using this accounts for at least 6 years.  I regularly swap between the two, depending on which country I am in.  I have never encountered any issues, I buy, rent and download regularly.
For the first time ever, when I logged out of one store and into the other store (using the sign in /out  option from the dropdown menu) and clicked 'download' for the tv episode I had available (from a season pass), a popup box appeared with the 'This computer is already associated with an Apple ID.'
    - If you download past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot auto-download or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days.
The option is to 'Cancel' or 'Transfer'
I have encountered this problem on my iPad and iPhone previously, but never on my computer.  I haven't done anything different either.
Does anyone have any suggestions?  Has Apple finally decided to stop people having multiple store accounts?
    I appreciate any help.

The potential to associate a computer to an account for 90 days has been possible for a number of years like it has been on iOS devices, and can happen if you use iTunes Match, automatic downloads or redownload past purchases (though, based on some posts I've seen, it doesn't always seem to happen) - I believe it's an attempt to try and stop people logging into their account on other people's computers or devices and redownloading/sharing their content, not to stop people having multiple accounts.
It shouldn't stop you buying new content on the account, just doing any of the above three things. If you want to do one of them on your other account then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will remove the current association, but if you then do one of them on the other account then you are likely to start a 90 association to that account instead : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support.

  • What happened to the "Free Downloads" link at iTunes Store?

Since the new iTunes store switched, the "This weeks free downloads" that link that displayed all of the free tv shows available for download has disappeared? I remember it has episodes of Passions, Three Moons..., 30 Days, and others. Is there a link that I'm just missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No (so sad), at the bottom of my front page is "Exclusively on iTunes" display with a few titles.
... immediately down below that is a little "My Store" thingy. is it currently showing "United States"?
if it's showing a different country, click on it and select "United States". does the "FREE ON iTunes" show up for you now?
(i just checked with my iTunes Store ... if i switched to the UK store, i'd see what you were seeing, but i'd get the Free section back if i switched back to the US Store.)

  • How do I switch my apple Id I use in the iTunes store to the one I have on iCloud?

how do I switch my apple Id I use in the iTunes store to the one I have on iCloud?

You can simply sign out and sign in with the different ID. However, if you have any protected media - movies, or songs purchased before they stopped protecting them - you will not be able to play them, so in that case you are rather stuck.
You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs. Use your iCloud ID for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream; use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

  • I need to change from Japan App Store to Australia App Store. I get this every time I try using My MacID: "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the Japanese iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store." What next TY. JohnCahill

I moved from Japan to Australia. I need to change from Japan App Store to the Australian App Store. I get the following message every time I try using My MacID which was set up in Japan: "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the Japanese iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store." At one point... by which path I do not remember... I was instructed to created a new ID. I fill out the new ID forms, but the address is rejected each time... quite confusing. Does it want a new name? But it says I cannot use an apple domain (tag?) even though I guess it has to be an apple address... ? So I have iTunes crdit cards purchansed in Australia, can't spend in AUstralian iTunes Store, get directed back to Japan each time, and can't open a new ID... What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.  John. Australia.

You must have a separate Apple ID registered in the other store along with a valid bank-issued charge card in the other country, and a legal billing address in the other country.
Sorry... But... You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country..

  • How can I switch App/iTunes store while retaining all apps purchased in both stores?

I have an iPhone 6 (iOS 8.2) bought in the US but currently in use in France. I have a French phone service, and need to download French apps to help manage the phone service. Specifically, the Orange et Moi app. However, every time I attempt to search for the app in the App store on my phone, it sends me to the French app store, which I do not have an account for. On attempting to purchase the app anyway, it sends me back to the US store, without giving me an option to make a new (French) account.
I know I could switch the country associated with my Apple ID, but I did not want to risk losing the apps I'd purchased with that account.
Is it possible to have two different accounts, without switching the country on my apple ID? Ideally I'd like to be able to use both French and American apps simultaneously. Is this possible?

Whilst you are in France you can only use the France store - you have to be in a country to use its store, that is part of the store's terms (accessing a different country's store could result in Apple permanently disabling the account).
You can either update your existing account to have your French billing address on it (changing country), or create a new account (you can log out of your account phone by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and you can then create a new account via that screen).
Creating a new account : Set up an Apple ID in iTunes - Apple Support
Creating a account without giving credit card details : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method - Apple Suppor…

  • Why does my iTunes store keep freezing when switching iTunes stores?

I have an account in both the Canada store and the U.S. store (I buy U.S. iTunes cards for use as some shows do not come to Canada until nearly a year after its U.S. store release). However, and don't ask why I haven't posted about this earlier I noticed for the past month or two when I switch from one to the other, my iTunes freezes completely forcing me to Force Quit it and restart. It will then be in the store I was switching into (from Canada to U.S. or vice versa) but it still had to freeze and be re-opened before I could access it. Is there any reason this might be happening? I feel like it might've happened after the most recent update because it did not used to do this. I have the latest iTunes update 11.1.3 (8).
    Thanks for anyone's help.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • I want to buy the movie Crazy Stupid Love but it is not available in the US, only in the UK.  I live in the US but is it possible to switch the itunes store so that I can buy that movie?

I want to buy the movie Crazy Stupid Love but it is not available in the US, only in the UK.  I live in the US but is it possible to switch the itunes store so that I can buy that movie?

It used to be in the US iTunes Store as that's where I purchased it.  Often the studios will temporarily pull a movie from the store during times the movie is scheduled to be shown on TV or cable TV as the TV network has been granted exclusive access during the period. It will return to the store later.

  • App store and itunes store are stuck in Japanese store. Says: Account not in Store. Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store. You must switch to the Philippines store before purchasing.

My app store and itunes store are stuck in Japanese store. I already moved to the Philippines for about a year ago and my stores still won't change its location.
I already changed the region/country in my apple id. I tried to sign out and sign in back to my account. Tried it in app store, in itunes store, in settings app, in itunes in my laptop, in the apple website. It shows that my apple id is already set to Philippines, no matter where I sign in my account.
The problem is when I open my app store (or itunes store) in my iphone, it appears that it is in the Philippines store; however, when I sign in my account (and I tried to sign in everywhere), I cannot download any app from the Philippine store. When I try to download an app, it always says "Account not in this store. Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store. You must switch to the Philippines store before purchasing." I have read everywhere and most of the answers say that it should automatically direct me to the correct store. It doesn't happen to me, apparently.
I have the same problem in both my iPhones. Both are iPhone 3GS and in version 5.1.1. I don't want to upgrade to iOS6 so please don't tell me to do so. Thanks!

try logging out of of store and then log in again

  • How will I be switched to Sri lankan itune store

How will I be switched to Sri lankan itune store?

Export Photos and Videos from Camera Roll to your computer.
    Empty Camera Roll.
Make a Folder/Album with all photos and videos you want to have in your iPhone and sync them through iTunes.
This will free up space in your iPhone and your iCloud.
The backup of Camera Roll in iCloud is only to restore your iPhone. You can't access them directly.

  • I was sent to the UK iTunes Store to download one app, should be in the US store; how can I switch back?

A while ago, when trying to download an app, I was switched to the UK iTunes Store. After failure to download said app (apparently I was told it wasn't in the UK store either?...) I tried switching back to the US store through my account settings. However, a problem arose because I still have US credit attached to my account. I contacted apple and they told me to spend ALL of it, though this is impossible as the credit is in US dollas, not pounds and as such the credits don't match up. Does anybody know how to switch BACK to the US store?

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPad, and sign into your account again.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards.
