ITunes store: "There were problems downloading some purchased items"

I am receiving this error message every time that I log in to my iTunes account.
There 11 listed items (that I do not recognize) each followed by error 8268
Here is the screen shot
Any ideas?
Thank you

I thought I would post -- I finally figured this out... I really think iTunes might have suggested checking this from the start it would have saved a lot of time!
I have no idea why but my iTunes music folder location was gone in iTunes preferences. I never thought to check this but noticed a problem when I was "getting info" on some songs in iTunes. Everything in the library played fine that was already in my library but my downloads & imports had no where to go I guess.
You'd think that would be one of the first things that they would have had me check!

  • ITunes error " there were problems downloading some purchased items"

I'm having an issue at the moment with iTunes login. Every time I sign in, an error message appears telling me there was a problem downloading some of my purchased items. It's normally about 26 errors but some times 13 and all seem to relate to one album I already have in my library and have not tried to re download. if I click on the individual errors it an (8268) error. If I leave it, it just disappears after a bit. It's just annoying. I've tried deleting said album from library. Imported original in from back up, every thing like that.

I'm having the same problem.  Started last week (week of November 3rd).   I posted an issue with Apple, but they came back with a BS response and I decided I did not have the patience to work with folks who clearly failed to read my writeup on the issue.   Trolling for someone who had the patience and worked with them to figure out the solution.

  • Alert 'There were problems downloading some purchased items' won't clear for the same 6 songs.

Alert 'There were problems downloading some purchased items' won't clear for the same 6 songs (see screenshot). Every time I download something new this alert comes up, yet when I check for available downloads there aren't any (see second screenshot). Also the 6 songs that are being flagged as having problems are already downloaded to my library, so literally it's just the alert/ notification that seems to be stuck. I've tried signing in and out of iTunes, re-installing itunes, re-starting the computer, emptying the cache etc, and but everytime I sign back in or re-open itunes the alert comes straight back up and it's driving me insane.
Can anyone help either clear the alert or stop it so that it doesn't pop up every time I try and download something else??

P.S the error message i got during the download is (err = - 5000)
    Thanks in advance

  • ITunes - "There were problems downloading some purchased items. The required file can not be found."

I'm having a few problems in iTunes.
I have had iTunes for years through many different devices. I work in music education, so I have music for work and music for home all in my same iTunes account.
In the past year, I have gotten another new computer (a laptop - so I keep my iTunes on an external drive) and also tried my hand at making a separate library for my work music.
Now on summer vacation, I was finally trying to sort out all of my music and get it to the correct iTunes library so that I could sync up my iPods. I hit a brick wall so to speak. In iTunes, I see albums I purchased on iTunes and I try to click the cloud symbol to download them from my cloud. Sometimes, it does NOTHING (no download starts) and sometimes I get an error message like "The iTunes Library can not be saved. An unknown error occurred (13010)." I have also noticed that some things I have purchased have NO cloud symbol and they are not available to be played either (can't click on them - they are greyed out). In addition, I have been getting an error that says it is unknown error 21 - a problem downloading.
It really seems like I have many separate issues but since I don't know what the problem really is, I'm having trouble searching for the answer. I tried searching the problems on the forum and even tried a few things like deleting the genius and extras files everyone was talking about, but it didn't help. Apple won't help me unless I pay them, so I'm trying you first. Thanks for any thoughts you might have.
    I have a Windows 8 PC.
I have Home Sharing and Match.
I use iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iPad 2.

P.S the error message i got during the download is (err = - 5000)
    Thanks in advance

  • There were problems downloading some purchased items - iTunes

I keep getting this message every single time I connect to iTunes. How do I get rid of it???
The 'purchased items' mentioned is not even relevant for me.

    - Fixed now. Got help from iTunes online, and asked them to delete a phantom que in my download. All works well now. Excellent service.

I purchase songs in the iTunes store, but have an "error" downloading my purchases.  Any idea why?

I'm hoping that this may be just a misunderstanding somewhere.
Could you show an image showing these greyed out items?

Can't get my previously purchased songs in my library because they won't download. The error code is err = -3523? I think. I already reinstalled Itunes. Running this on Windows 7. Just recently got a new computer and am trying to get my songs on this computer! A simple terminology walk-through fix would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • There were problems downloading some purchased items, error 8268

Are you getting this error on some songs you are trying to download from iTunes? Have you been able to fix it? If not, do you have on home sharing? If so, please turn it off and try to download your song. Please let me know if this works!

Turning home sharing off does not fix the problem for me

    Hello there, WestCoastGuy.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some valuable information for troubleshooting your issue:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1368
    Particularly:
Troubleshooting on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to 3G, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router
If the issue persists, see troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Note: All iPhone, and iPod touch models support 802.11b/g Wi-Fi networks. In addition, iPhone 4, and iPod touch (4th generation) support 802.11n Wi-Fi networks (2.4 GHz only).
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • Connected to iTunes store, but can't download previously purchased items?

When I set up a new computer last week, the Home Sharing process left a lot of holes in the iTunes library on my new computer.  I went to the iTunes Store to download previous purchases in an effort to to fill some of the gaps.  Initially, I was successful -- though the iTunes store would only download a couple of hundred files at a time.  However, I can  no longer make the "download previous purchases" function work, even though I still have around 350 files that it recognizes as available for download.  When I click the "download all" option and enter my password, I consistently get a message like, "This item is currently unavailable.  Try again later."  This has been going on for more than a week.  What can I do to make this work?
As a separate matter, iTunes only seems to recognize about 1100 of my previous purchases, though the real number is probably closer to 3500-4000.  That is not critical, since I had MP3 backups for almost all of my ITunes purchases on an external hard drive.  However, the process of reconstructing my library probably would have been easier if I could have restored more directly from iTunes.  If anyone has encountered this kind of problem and figured out how to solve it, I'd be interested in case I ever have to go through the process again.

I had an issues similar to this with purchased music not all that long ago, and rebooting (I think) is what got it working for me again.
See if this helps - sign out, restart, sign in again and try again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.
I would suggest rebooting the router - unplug it for about 30 seconds, and you can try that - but I'm not sure if that will help. It won't hurt anyway.
