ITunes store won't allow me to purchase cart

I'm trying to purchase items in my Shopping Cart from iTunes 7.5 (Windows), on the computer that I always use. I get an error message telling me that either prices have changed since adding the items to the cart or items were added/removed from another computer. I do remember accessing my account from another PC, but that was a while ago and I assumed that my cart is my cart, in other words I can add a song/video from any computer as long as I'm logged into my account and it will be saved on the iTunes server(s). So what do I do? I have no idea where those items were saved or what they were. Thanks.

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
    When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 .     I am trying to pre-order the "Funplex" album by the B-52's, due out on March 25th. Part of the pre-order incentive is the current purchase of the Funplex single song, and a promise of an extra track at release.

    Problem is, I already bought the Funplex single at the end of January when it first came out. Now the store won't allow me to pre-order the album. Nor will it allow me to buy the song again in order to qualify for the pre-order.
    I tried going through the iTunes support site, was told to "Check purchases" and "Report a problem." I have done so, selecting the Funplex single in my purchases, and clicking "Report problem." The button simply disappears and nothing else happens.
    The songs of an album I purchased tonight (Black Crowes) are marked, "Report a problem" as is my Funplex single. But no indication of what happens next. They don't even know what kind of problem I am trying to report! They only know that there has been a problem. Nothing more.
    Anybody shed any light on this?

    In iTunes on your computer, go to Store > Authorize This Computer from iTunes' menu.  Have your dad (or you, if you know it) enter his Apple ID and password.  Then sync again.

    Initially your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer. Once match completes its scan, your music will have been matched or uploaded. I suggest that you add iCloud status column to song view. This will tell you what has been matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting. What is the status of your tracks that are not playing.
    If space is not an issue, I suggest that you keep the music on the internal hard drive otherwise you can delete the tracks and play from cloud. In both instances, you should maintain a back up of all your music on a separate hard drive.

    If you upgrade to Lion it comes bundeled with it!
    To get it on your Mac Pro just copy the aplication from the aplication folder on your MacBook.  You can do this via a thumb drive or over a local network connection.

  • Mac App Store won't allow re-downloading of deleted apps

    I am experiencing very glitchy behaviour with the Mac App Store.  The store can't tell when individual apps are deleted, and therefore won't allow re-download.  This has been going on for a while - when I click on the Purchases tab all Apps are still listed as Installed and the button is greyed out - I can't click to re-download.  At the same time, an app that I previously did download and later removed called Cobook won't delete from the computer - after a few minutes to an hour it will re-appear in my Applications folder.
    I have done a clean re-install of Mountain Lion trying to fix this problem, however the same problem exists even after a re-install - Apps that had been deleted prior to the clean install are still greyed out in the Purchases tab, and can't be re-downloaded.  The only way that Apps can be re-installed is to use Time Machine backup.  I am concerned that this means that updates also aren't working, since the App Store doesn't seem to know what Apps are on my computer and which ones aren't.
    Yes I am using the correct Apple ID assocaited with the purchases.  My purchase history shows up just fine in the Purchases tab, its just that they are stuck showing that they are currently installed, even the ones that aren't.
    Mountain Lion 10.8.2, 21.5" iMac (mid-2011).

    The problem is possibly worse than I expected.  Since the clean re-install, now any App purchased and downloaded via App Store won't appear in the Purchases tab.  So in other words, although the download seems to work correctly, and the app works, the App Store seems to lose all track of it.  Which is a problem for paid apps.

    I've looked at the troubleshooting options, and flushed my DNS. Deleted Norton completely, same with another antivirus, and windows firewall is disabled, and allows iTunes.

    Problems connecting to the iTunes Store often stem from issues with the Windows firewall or a firewall in a router, a privacy filter (such as McAfee Internet Privacy Service or Norton Internet Security), an antivirus/antispyware utility, or a download accelerator. Start here:

    for some basic tips to start isolating the cause of the problem. What you need to do is temporarily disable any such service and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then if it's a firewall/Internet filter that's causing the problem and you'll need to set the offending service to allow iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store.

    Tell me exactly how much you have in your store credit and I"ll let you know the best solution.
    Also, I'm not 100% sure, but when you switch back to S.A., Apple MAY track your IP and still give you probs if they figure you're trying to get around this problem without moving out of America. But we won't know for 100% until we try it.
    If your store change is less than the price of a single song, then you can ask the iTS support to just cash-out that balance. They'll probably send you a response to reverify this first though.

    Sounds like you have multiple Apple IDs, which causes a myriad of issues.  Go here to straighten it out.  Be forewarned that it's a pain.

    I tried "resetting" my password, but b****y iTunes just keeps asking me for ANOTHER password, and won't accept the password I want to use! I'm getting mighty fed up with iTunes - I'm a senior citizen, and my memory isn't as sharp as it might have been, so passwords HAVE to be fairly simple and OBVIOUS to me.
