Itunes store won't connect to store but will connect to internet.

this happened to me before but it fixed itself when i updated my software.
now it doesn't work again, it's not the firewall, because i've tried with it both on and off.
there are also no more updates to install.
i can't sign into my itunes account, and the error i get says the network connection time timed out or something.
help....again?

expand all sections and scroll down until you find your error message.
follow the troubleshooting instructions.

My 3rd generation 40gb iPod no longer appears on my desktop or iTunes window when connected via firewire. While connected, to 3 different Macs so far, it behaves as if its plugged into the AC adaper- the charging icon appears after a few minutes but will not mount.
However, when connecting with USB 2.0 the iPod mounts fine but it receives NO power, the battery discharges within 5 minutes and shuts off.
I've known about the USB 2.0 problem but never worried about it until, suddenly ( and apparently others are having this problem ) I am no longer able to mount the iPod via firewire.
I've tried resetting in all its various forms including toggeling the hold button and plugging into the AC adapter and I have thoroughly read the trouble shooting pages.
Has Apple "orphaned" firewire? Is the 3rd generation iPod doomed to 5 minute or less connection times? Is this just a glitch that an update will fix?

Its not the cable. I have cables and other Macs all over. I've tried the other Macs and different cables plus different cables and diferent dock connectors.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that I already eliminated that possibility.
The firewire problem just started Sep 1, 2006. I'm wondering if the last iPod update that occured the last time I was mounted via firewire initiated the problem. This seems more likely than it might have becuase of other posts complaining of firewire connection problems.

Recently we acquired Cable Internet Service, which was brought into the X Serve Network Card. After that it is transfered onto the second network card which then dishes out DHCP to all our client computers (including laptops). However, it appears that only the Macintosh laptops are obtaining internet, while the windows laptops show they have a wifi connection, but the browser applications refuse to launch on everyone of them. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.

When you reinstalled iTunes, you may not have done it correctly. It needs to be done in a specific order, or it will just compound your problems. There is a problem with the latest iTunes in Windows, and it has been requiring a removal and reinstallation. See this support document support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 and remove and reinstall by following these instructions exactly. This should fix your problem.

Long story short, I downladed an illegal file on my computer, and my internet provider cut me off. They made me connect an ethernet cable to the modem to go online and sign a I will not ever do again ordeal. Ever since then though, my computer will not connect with its wifi. This worked for me when I ran into the same issue (can scroll through rented movie but can't play it). Just switch iTunes to the MiniPlayer (in the Window menu) and then back to the normal player. Apparently, you may need to do this a few times. It sounds odd (and I didn't really expect it to work), but it fixed the problem for me.

Why not do a "Restore" in iTunes to set it back to factory settings? That will eliminate any previous information that is causing you issues in use. You will have an iPod which you can sync as if it is new with your settings and info.

I understand you cannot print from your desktop however, you can print from your laptop.
Could you please run the Print and Scan Doctor again and let me know the results or post a screen image of the results?
This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.
You can also try manually stopping and restarting the print spooler and try printing from Notepad afterwards.
1. Click Start
2. Type "Services" in the search field.
3. Open SERVICES
4. At the bottom, click "Extended View"
5. Search for Print Spooler
6. Right-click it and choose Properties
7. Select as Automatic in the drop down box, close the Window
8. Right click on Print Spooler and choose "Stop", wait until it stops and then right click again and "Start".
9. Close out of Services and try your print again.
When you get to your response, please include which version of Windows you're running please.

2.2.1 is not the latest available for any ipod touch.
Is yours the original ipod touch?

Basic troubleshooting techniques for any problem
Restart the computer = joy?
Reset the router = joy?
Restart the computer in Safe Mode = joy?
ask yourself "What changed immediately preceding the onset of the problem?" = Anything... hardware, software, cabling, environment (interference source)

try this.
get back into your router's settings and start deleting devices that are not connected to your router.
you can also delete the ones that are connected - they'll connect again.
on the DHCP side of it, increase the amount of users that can connect/log in to your router.
see if that sorts it out for you.

Without knowing anything about your WiFI system, my opinion is that your wifi signal is either, weaker than your downstairs neighbor, or more likely, your wi fi system is suffering from interference. The first thing you should do is change the channel it is operating on. See if that helps.
I tend to think it is not the router, but can only offer a guess, since you did not describe your system.
