Itunes store won't display since upgrading to itunes 9 - use iolo antivirus

Since upgrading to itunes 9 we cannot view the itunes store. I get a blank white background stating "itunes store" in gray across it. I can see itunes column browser but not regular visuals. I noticed when i ran diagnostics, it is accessing the store. I just cannot view as normal viewing. Not sure what the regular view is called.

I'm having the same problem! At first after installing leopard it wouldn't let me access the apple site! Called support they had me make up another user and access it from there and it worked. Also closed all my start up items. Now it won't let me access Itunes store even though I can access the web for everything else! Any clues??

  • Itunes store won't connect since upgrade to itunes 8 (vista)

ever since i upgraded to itunes 8, it won't connect to the store. it says the network has timed out after only trying for like a second. Right when i click the itunes store button, the error pops up immediately. I have vista. When i run a diagnose, it says "Internet connect verified, but then it says "secure link to itunes store failed". how do i fix this? thanks

iTunes 8 has created a serious problem with usbaapl.sys and Windows Vista, the device driver for the iPhone and possibly for every other iPod. According to my research, about 1/3 of all Vista users who have installed iTunes 8 are experiencing the problem. It caused me to have the dreaded BSOD about five times before I did a full system restore from my backup drive to get rid of iTunes 8 and go back to iTunes 7.7.1.11. The new Genius Bar apparently allows Apple to advertise more songs for you to buy while poorly putting together custom playlists based on your song choice and your iTunes music library. Pandora.com does a better job of creating custom radio stations for you for free than iTunes 8 does using its custom algorithm and your song library. iTunes 8 has now become a giant piece of bloatware. Apple should know better by now after experiencing the debacles of the MobileMe launch and the poor connection quality of the G3 iPhone. Apple now seems to be putting the bottom line ahead of all else including satisfied customers other than Apple's lunatic fanboys. Steve Jobs should know better and kick some *** at Apple's programming department.
Come on, Apple. Get back to being known for doing things right the first time.

  • My itunes store won't work since upgrade to version 8.0

My itunes store will not work since I upgraded to v8 I don't know what the problem is. Can someone please help me!!

The #1 culprit for that is Norton security software.
    Here are Norton directions

If you don't have Norton, check whatever other firewall/security software you are using.

  • ITunes Store won't open since upgrading to 7.5

It hangs forever then I get an alert of a network timeout... even though my internet is working perfectly (I accessed the Apple site to post this topic and my email quite easily.) It does this after repeated tries and even a restart of both program and computer. iTunes is functioning otherwise. Does anyone know what is going on?

  • ITunes store won't load after upgrading to iTunes 9

Ever since I upgraded my iTunes to the new iTunes 9, I can't get iTunes store to load. I've gone through the troubleshooting, and even ran a repair iTunes and then uninstalled and re-installed the iTunes. Nothing has worked. It only loads part way with just blue boxes with ? marks in them and names of songs/artists. Plain white background and none of the links that do show go anywhere. I get this message when I try to click on a link: We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (306). There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later.

My daughter has iTunes 8.2.0.23 on her laptop and she could sign in with her own id and my id - so obviously there is a problem with version 9
I've uninstalled iTunes 9 and Apple Mobile Device Support thru Add/Remove programs
    Installed iTunes 8.2.1.6
Removed library file made in version 9
Opened iTunes 8.2.1.6 and successfully signed into iTunes Store
Still cannot get onto iTunes via a Touch or 2 iPhones!!!
Added all my music back onto iTunes and it is working PERFECTLY
WON'T be upgrading to version 9
    Hope this helps

  • IPad app store won't display certain apps, and itunes store won't display any searches at all

Hi. My problem started when instagram won't open bc it says I have an old version, but everytime I checked the "updates" in the app store, instagram doesn't appear. So I deleted it. Now no matter how I search on my iPad for instagram and other certain apps (like 8tracks), they won't appear in the search results! Even when I try to download the apps via the iTunes store, nothing I search on iTunes ever displays. It just loads and stops halfway. I've tried downloading a new iTunes and restoring my iPad but nothing works. Can anyone help me please?

We are all users here, just like you. You can tell Apple about your suggestions by using this link:

New versions of apps might need other hardware requirements and will not work on older devices.

  • Images in Itunes store won't display

I've downloaded all upgrades onto my laptop. When I open the store, the images don't display (a broken chain does instead). I've restarted. How do I get the images to show back up?

(particularly under Troubleshooting on a Mac)
If that does not help...  As a test, to narrow down the cause, you may want to create a new user account in System Preferences Users & Groups pane.  It can be Standard or Admin.  Log out and log in to the new user account (do not use Fast User Switching).
Try running iTunes from the new user account, and accessing the iTunes Store.
If the problem does NOT occur in the new account, the cause is likely to be something in your primary user account.  For example, it could be user preferences settings, or something related to your iTunes library, or a background process that runs in your account that is interfering somehow.
If the same problem does occur in the new account, the cause is likely to be related to the overall OS, the iTunes application, or maybe network settings that block access to the iTunes Store.
Either way, you'll be able better focus additional troubleshooting.

  • ITunes store won't display open. No error message or connection problems.

For the last few weeks I've been trying to access the iTunes store but it will not open. I click on "iTunes Store" but it just shows me a blank screen. It seems to load it judging by the bar that displays the song information but it just doesn't show any content. It also does not give me any type of error message nor does it have any problem when I go to sign in and view my account information. The problem is only on iTunes, my App Store works perfectly fine. No matter how many times I try refreshing the page it just shows me the same blank page. I have tried re-installing itunes multiple times with no results.
Here is a picture of what I see when I try to open the store:

  • Itunes Store won't open since update

So ever since I updated to ios 7, I cannot open the Itunes Store on my phone. It acts like it is going to load and then it just crashes. I have tried hard resetting my phone and it didn't solve the problem. Has anyone else experienced this or have an idea for a fix?

I actually was able to fix this issue! I contacted apple support via the online chat and they suggested I restore my phone (after backing it up of course). So if you restore your iPhone and then restore it from last backup, that should fix the problem with the iTunes Store. I hope this works for you as it did for me!!

  • TS1368 Cannot Connect to iTunes Store on iPhone 4 since upgrading to IOS 6

Have read several threads on this - none of the suggestions have worked.  Losing my patience w/ this update - fixing iTunes Match was a nightmare that required me to restore my phone twice.  Typically I use a feature in Slacker or SiriuxXM where you can purchase a song from iTunes via a direct link in one of those apps.  This no longer works, nor does using the "Search" feature in the iTunes Store app.  My settings are correct - though the nonsense of having an iCloud ID and a Store ID no doubt has something to do with this.  Has anyone been able to resolve this using any technique other than manually changing the date and time in settings to 5 years in the future then setting it back (because this has not worked).
    Thank you.

  • Itunes store does not display with in the itunes player, why?

  • Itunes Store won't open. Says download Itunes 10. I am running MacOsX 10.4.11. Can I get into my Itunes Store another way?

Had been using the Itunes Store just fine.  I am running MacOSX 10.4.11 and Itunes 7.  Now there is an ad that says to download to Itunes 10. I cannot download Itunes 10 with my operating system.  It won't let me open the Itunes Store, though.

Sadly, iTunes now requires at least...
    Macintosh hardware
Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 processor
Intel, PowerPC G5 or 1.0 GHz PowerPC G4 or faster processor is required to play Standard Definition video from the iTunes Store
2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor is required to play HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras from the iTunes Store
512MB of RAM; 1GB is required to play HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras
Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater; 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
Playing videos also requires at least 16MB of video RAM
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
Apple combo drive or SuperDrive to create audio, MP3, or back-up CDs; some non-Apple CD-RW recorders may also work.
Apple SuperDrive to back up your library to DVDs; some non-Apple DVD-RW drives may also work.
    Macintosh software
Mac OS X version 10.5 or later
    QuickTime 7.6 or later
Support for HE-AAC requires QuickTime 7.6.4 and Mac OS X version 10.5 or later
    Safari 4.0.3 or later
    200MB of available disk space
    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
        *  Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
        * 512MB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it! Helps to tell them you have an iPad/iPhone & you can't run 10.6.
There are workarounds if the 867MHz is the only hangup...
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/leopardassist/
If you have an Intel Mac, 10.6 is cheaper/easier to get.
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

  • I cannot get the iTunes store to come up since upgrading to the newest version

Has anyone had this problem and how can I fix it? I have uninstalled and installed iTunes but still no luck.

In the course of your troubleshooting to date, have you worked through the following document?
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

  • Itunes Store Won't Display

i connect to the store and it shows for a split second, then goes blank. I'm connected the whole time. Any thoughts?

I'm having this same problem. Connected to the web, but the stores just flashes then disappears. I was going to check whether i need a software update.

  • ITunes store for Mac does not find albums, iTunes store for iPhone is OK

When looking for an artist on iTunes store for Mac, the search returns no result.
When looking for the same artist (Paddy Milner in the Music store), I can find this artist in iTunes store for iPhone.
I tried another artist (Alice Russell), same thing.
Is there something happening with iTunes store for Mac?

After upgrading to iTunes 12 on WinXP it did not connect to Gracenote.
    I found this solution.
    Solution:
    Exit iTunes
    Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
    Double click on Apple Computer
    Double click on iTunes
Take a back up of the file iTunesPrefs.xml as a precaution (copy to some safe area)
    Delete the file iTunesPrefs.xml
    Start iTunes again
    Good Luck!
