Itunes Store won't let me change my default e-mail

When I sign in and choose the option to change my default email, it takes me back out to the sign-in screen.
I no longer use that email address. How can I get it changed?

hi, had same problem as you, was unable to connect to itunes store or sync ipod upto already downloaded songs, went to apple shop and was advised to disable security, i know, a silly thing to do, but when disabled ipod sync'd up and all songs transferd and access to itunes store given, reinabled security and old problem was back.

Itunes store won't let me connect

For the past week the Itunes store won't let me connect. It says "itunes requires Safari 4.0.3 or later to be installed to use the itunes store within itunes...use software update"
I checked my software update and it says I have the latest version of Safari (I download it last week as well).

There are a lot of people with this issue currently. Let me guess, you updated to 11.0.3 correct?
Can you make sure cookies are blocked in Safari? Then sign out and sign back into iTS.

Try it this way on your computer.
Launch iTunes.
From the menu at the top go to Store>View my account
Enter your password when prompted
Under Apple ID summary - Payment type - click on Edit next to the current information
Select the card that you want to use and enter the card number and the security code
Make sure that the billing address is correct - it must be the same address that is printed on the CC statement.
Click on Done when you are finished.
See if that works for you.

Itunes store won't let me buy anything, why?

ok, i just got up the nerve to buy a $50 itunes card first time, now i feel like i was duped, it won't let me buy anything, i redeemed the points, look in the store and decided the first thing i wanted to get was the ipod touch upgrade, i click on it and it asks me for my apple id password, i enter it correctly click "Buy" and then asks me for the password again and this time instead of the button saying "buy" its says "billing info" now it now takes me to the page and all the info is right, im not using a card because i don't have one and i don't think i should need one because i have the itunes points which is clearly displayed beside my account name on the itunes program. now after i click done it just takes me back to the itunes store home page... so then i think maybe the update just isn't available at the moment, so then i look up the app "video safe" and try to buy it, same exactly thing happens, someone plzz help, im confused as to y i am not able to buy anything, i have the points, id like to use them

apple should really make that clear, thats the reason i bought the points for in the first place, to get apps and the update. man this *****, ok so pretty much if i don't have a credit card then im screwed right? i can't get the update or get apps unless they are free? are there app cards or something i can buy in order to buy them? kuz i can't get a credit card and i want to get this stuff, and if im not mistaken isn't this bad? its stopping ppl from spending money on this stuff, its cutting profit, if you could use it for all of it then im sure ppl would buy them alot more, kuz its "re-donk-u-less" that they don't have an easier way to get the stuff like apps and upgrades unless you hav a credit card. idk man, is apple going to change that anytimes soon?

Apple store won't let me change my country in account settings

so lately I just moved from usa to Thailand and my some of my apps wont be updated bcuz they're having some kind of contact or whatever
and I really want to to update the so I did edited my acount settings and it wont let me change my country..
bcuz i have some balances left in my account which is like 0.78$
what the **** am I gonna purchase for that.....

I went into settings, then clicked in itunes&app store, then logged into my Apple ID and clicked on country/region and when I click the button to change it in there nothing happens

ITunes Store won't let me access Wish List

I have been trying all morning to purchase some music, but I keep getting a timed out error from the iTunes store. I am not able to access "Add to Wish List" from the drop down menu, nor will it let me access my own "Wish List" from the drop down under my account name. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes completely but nothing has changed.

You are not the only one who is confused. But, yes, Virginia, there is NO way to use the Wishlist that I can find...at least according to Apple. (PLEASE correct me if I am wrong; I have been working on this for about an hour now...)

According to the directions on the KB article "go to the Quicklinks, and in the Quick Links box on the right click the My Wish List link." Not true; the link is NOT there. However, you can navigate to the Wishlist little white dropdown triangle on the far right, next to your email address (it will appear when you hover the mouse over it). Ok, there's the Wishlist; let's manage it, ok? Nope, can't do that, either; the page has no way to manage it-can't add or delete, ONLY purchase. Hmm, well, let's try the rest of the instructions. Ok, go to a song, right click the 'buy' button, and choose Wishlist from the dropdown menu...oops! That doesn't work either! Buying is, again, the only option.
Someone clearly needs to get fired, since this article was updated only 2 days ago. How do you get THE ENTIRE article wrong? Come on, Apple, you can do better than that.

ITunes store won't let me click on albums

I use iTunes 10.6.3 on my iMac and a more recent version on my laptop. I find that when I use the iTunes store on the desktop, I click on an album and it tells me:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request.
The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
The thing is, everything else on the iTunes store works perfectly. It just won't let me go to the page of any album. What's up with that? It works fine on my laptop. Why not on my desktop?

ITunes Store won't let me create an account

I recently got an iTunes Music Card and to use it I have to have an account with iTunes Store. But it won't let me create an account. Everytime I try to make one the Windows Installer opens and tries to install Microsoft Small Business. So when I close that suddenly there is an error and iTunes has to close. So I don't get to create an account. What do I do?

Itunes store won't let me download applications

When i go onto the itunes store and find an application i want it won't let me download it! i click on the "get app" button and i can see the button being pushed down, but nothing happens! i have tried restarting my computer and downloading itunes again...but nothing works!
I am currently using the latest version of iTunes, so i know that isn't the problem...please can somebody help!

You need to have an account set up with iTunes. Have you done that yet?
If you have and are still having this problem, try going to (in iTunes) Store > Deactivate Account and deactivate your account. Then reactivate it and try your download again.

ITunes Store won't let me buy a song..

The store says, "The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere in the store."
I saw this last week, and have tried a few times to buy this song and this keeps coming up. I've tried buying the same song from a different album and it says the same thing.
Is it really the song that's not available? Or is there something else that could possibly be wrong?

What song are you trying to purchase? Can you purchase other items, like the free single of the week?
Are you running the most up to date version of iTunes? Is the date and time on your computer correct?

I have a ballance in iTunes and when I go to purchase, it askes me to confirm my billing information and keeps telling me I have an error. Anyone know how to help me use my ballance?

If you can, you might want to wait a couple of days and try again. With the changes to the iTunes Store, there have been some teething problems that may just take a bit to sort out.
If the problem persists after a couple of days, then I'd suggest you send a message to the iTunes Store customer service department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them.

I've put in my code for my ITunes store gift card, and when I try to buy an album it says I dont have write access for my Itunes media folder or a folder within it. And to change my permissions in my finder. I have no idea how to do this!!

in finder, right-click on it and +get info+. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings for "you" to read & write. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and +apply to enclosed items+ like so
you may also give everyone read & write access. if this doesn't help, try the same on your iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music folder).

ITunes Store won't let me search...

I've done a complete format just recently. Installed iTunes 9.0.2. I'm currently on Windows 7 x64.
When I goto the iTunes store, I see the front page just fine. But when I type into the "Search Store" like "Deadmau5", the status bar just says "Accessing iTunes Store" and stays like that forever. The status bar animates forever as well. When I click on some of the links in the front page, they navigate fine. The problem lies when I try to search the store. Then when I try to quit iTunes, it freezes and I have to end task manually.
How do I fix this?

I'm having this exact problem as well! I'm running the latest version of iTunes (9.0.3.15) on Windows 7 (32bit). The search function in iTunes only works for me about 50% of the time! The other 50% of the time it just freezes up and hangs with the message at the top "Accessing iTunes Store." I've tried letting this sit like this for 20-30 minutes and it just never recovers unless I kill iTunes in task manager. It is a bit annoying doing this several times a day and has prevented me from purchasing apps and music from iTunes where I otherwise would have done so; you would think apple would fix this as they are losing revenue! We're not the only ones having this issue; search google and you'll find that there are a plethora of others having the same issues.
I love iTunes but I just wish this bug was fixed for Windows 7 users. Hoping it will be fixed in the next update!
