ITunes stuttering and then crashing on podcast files, after 7.6.1 update
After upgrading (why do I bother) to 7.6.1 all podcasts 1)fail to move beyond 0:00 in the time track 2)stutter/skip initially or seconds in 3)then crash completely (do you really want me to keep sending Microsoft error reports?).
Vodcasts don't run at all, and all AAC and streamed music work normally. I might go test this with other than AAC formats as this is a common link.
Any other similar cases out there?

I would like to get a crash log from you.
1. Navigate in Windows Explorer to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\
Note: In order to see the Application Data folder, you may have to Show hidden files and folders in the View tab of Folder Options (From the Tools menu in Windows Explorer).
2. If you see a Dr Watson folder, open it, and delete all the files inside. If you don't see a Dr Watson folder, don't worry about it.
3. Choose Run from the Windows Start Menu.
4. Type in cmd and press Return.
5. In the window that appears, type in drwtsn32 -i and press Return.
6. Recreate the conditions that cause the crash.
7. Navigate back to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\
There should be a file in that folder now labeled "drwtsn32.log"
Attach that file to an email to me, and also include a link to this thread on Apple Discussions.

I'm having the following event occur 3-8 times a day. Itunes hangs. Then the entire computer hangs. No spinning beach ball. Cursor moves, but no windows are being updated. Nor does clicking on anything do anything. After 3-5 min of this, eventually Itunes crashes, and then the remaining programs do a spinning beach ball for the next several minutes. I don't use any of the Itunes feature except to play music. After the crash, Console reveals the following:

Any ideas? I tried to file a formal report with Apple Support, but they no longer recognize my computer's serial number.Is there any way to strip my personal information from the log I posted? There doesn't seem to be any way to edit previous posts? I'm currently violating the Terms of Use: "Never reveal any personal information."

I was in the middle of updated iOS7 onto my 4s then it crashed, tried to restore and backup and it wont power off restart it just shows a black screen.
Tried the tips
Does not recognise my phone as I updated Itunes to see if this would work and I have lost all my back ups and every thing,
when i try the power on butter and the home button I get the apple icon, then it shows power cord and itunes logo and then returns to a black screen, I can hear it beeping like when you put it on the charge each time this happens on my PC.

I restored my computer to factory setting, and then restored all my files. Now some of my songs are not authorized on this computer in iTunes.

My iTunes on my iMac is in an endless loop of starting on it's own and then crashing
How do I stop this endless loop of iTunes starting on it's own and then crashing only to begin over and over again? It has made using my iMac useless as the crash report window always covers whatever other window I have open. Since it's in an endless loop, closing the window will do no good as the next crash will cause the window again to cover all work! I'm using a mid 2007 iMac with Lion and the latest version of iTunes. I'm starting to feel like my mac is Microsoft Windows machine with the constant crashing! Thank goodness it's only the iTunes program that's crashing and not the computer!

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

It seems that you file has become corrupted.
One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way.

Recently, when I open itunes I cannot connect to the itunes store. It shows that it is connecting then the screen is blank and remains blank. I cannot even open the itunes help section from itunes. I had to log on to the support sight from my browser. Any ideas????

I have spent the past 10 days trying to solve this problem of “iTunes Store” no longer opening.
During this time of emailing backwards and forwards to iTunes Support nothing they suggested worked. All the links they sent didn’ toffer any help. I was basically just being told to delete iTunes and then reinstall it again.
After this long period of emailing each other every day,they finally told me that I need more detailed Technical Help and gave me a phone number to call their Apple Telephone Technical Help line.
When I explained all of the above, the man I was speaking to said did you delete EVERYTHING connected with iTunes, to which I said that I had deleted iTunes so I assumed that would be it. I was then told that this was the problem, I was not told to also delete Quick Time and Bonjour etc., infact everything else connected with iTunes.
So this is the procedure:
Control Panel/ Delete/Uninstall a Program
Then delete ALL of the following: “Apple ApplicationsSupport”, - “Apple Software Update”, - Bonjour, - “iTunes”, - “Quick Time”.
Finally, go to ‘Start’/’Search’ then type in iTunes and then you will see appear a whole string of at least 10 files all with the word ‘iTunes’ in each file name. DELETE EVERY ITEM. You should have now entirely cleared your computer of everything connected with Apple iTunes.
Now, Reinstall iTunes, which will reinstall everything you have just deleted explained above.
Result? It all workedagain!! -
Recently got a new iPod Touch 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod after multiple attempts, despite all songs showing properly on the Mac and multiple syncs occurring after all songs were properly reflected on the Mac. I updated iTunes Match from the iTunes Store menu as well pre-sync.
I should mention that I had previously had the library on a Dell (which is still running) and shared it on my home network. While all iTunes purchases now show in the Dell, the Mac is the device I use for all syncs.
There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the iCloud physical sync failure - some songs were legacy, some were purchased via the PC, some on the old iPod.
The Mac shows all the songs correctly and none show iCloud status -all have been downloaded, but the downloaded songs that were previously showing up as iCloud based aren't syncing to the iPod.
Is there any way to force all music being seen by my iPod as iCloud to download to so I can listen to them offline? Is there a way to force the sync from iTunes?The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone. -
I updated the IPAD with the latest update and now when I turned the IPAD on, I get the itunes logo and then nothing else. How can I fix this to let me use my IPAD?
YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
I have a large music library on my iPad, that is not currently on iCloud or on my main PC. If I sign up for iTunes Match, and then turn the iTunes Match on my iPad, will the music library from the iPad that is not currently in iCloud move to the iCloud? Or will I loose all that music?

Yes, I just get that message. I don't see how I could investigate this problem.
I didn't mention that this happened when I was consolidating my library, not copying files to another computer.
In other words, I'm using a "normal" itunes procedure, itunes won't complete it, and won't tell me exactly why or how to figure out how to fix it...
Is there at least some easy way to tell which files were successfully copied to my itunes music folder so I can work on moving the uncopied files?

After update I am no longer able to open email attachments by just clicking on the attachment. I now have to click control and then click open linked file. How can I open attachments by simply clicking on them?
Unless you believe middle-click is yours and don't like it being usurped, mine is set globally to "Enter".
