ITunes stuttering when running a program.

Hi there,
After upgrading to a new iMac with Lion, running into issues with iTunes that wasn't present before.  My older 21" iMac (4 GB RAM) ran Maxwell Render ( 3D modeling software) and iTunes with no performance issues.  My new beefed up 27" iMac (12GB RAM) cannot run both without iTunes skipping and stuttering every few seconds.  Any suggestions what might be happening and how to resolve this?

Hi;
When you define and edit the mapping between the project management role function ID and the financial planning view, category, or group. You can also decide on whether the cost or revenue rate is to be considered for the financial information calculation.
1. Execute report /RPM/PLAN_INT_PREP to create financial and capacity categories and groups for the bucket or the portfolio items based on the parameters mentioned in the selection screen.
2. Execute report /RPM/FIN_PLAN_INT to perform the financial planning for a portfolio item for the different portfolio items based on the parameters mentioned in the selection screen.
Prerequisite: For the portfolio item, you must have executed report /RPM/PLAN_INT_PREP before.
3. Execute report /RPM/BUCKET_ROLLUP to roll up the financial data for the different categories and groups of the portfolio items to its higher-level buckets.
Hope this help you.
Best Regards.

  • "Error determining planning periods for calendar "  when running a program

    Hi,
    When i am running a program with date range say "01/05/2011" to "30/06/2011",the program is executing successfully without any error. When i am executing the same program with date range as a) "01/05/2009" to "30/06/2011" and b)"01/05/2008" to "30/06/2011" the program is failing with error as "Error determining planning periods for calendar". Can anyone suggest me what i should do to avoid the failure of the program with above date ranges also.
    Thanks in advance,

    Dear,
    Error message 61123:"Error determining planning periods for calendar &".The PPC planning calendar specified in the material master MRP 2 view for the material is  incorrectly.
    The planning calendar periods are insufficiently maintained for the planning calendar used.
    Check the period of planning calendar in MD26 and generate the correct period.You can avoid the problem in several ways:
    Maintain the planning calendar far enough in the future (at least until beyond  the end of the planning horizon).
    Also check any demand is lies beyond the validity period of planning calendar.
    Reduction of the planning horizon of MRP also can control such issue, as MRP planning horizon lies in an area in which the planning calendar is no longer maintained

    Have you installed a newer version of the NI-VISA runtime engine that will work with Windows 7?
    The most recent on the NI website appears to be version 5.0.3.

  • Macsafe 85w still not enough when running Heavy program on Macbook pro 2011 Quad Core

    Is there any official announcement from apple on how macsafe 85w works & design flow or diagram..??
    We know the magsafe 85w is not enough to run macbook pro quad core i7 and their family.. But there must be some reason why apple only allow maximum 85w only.. rite
    I run this multiple test on my Macbook Pro early 2011, 17" 2.2 Quad core i7, 8G ram, to proving that the 85W is not enough.
    -Im running this test on both OSX & win 7
    -the battery capacity is 20% when i running this test
    -the power adapter "macsafe" is plugin when i run this test
    1) macsafe 85w turn to green to stop charging when rendering HD movie in Final Cut pro 7 in OSX ( but then it will turn to orange to charged again after you cancel the render)
    2) macsafe 85w turn to green to stop charging when playing high graphic game such "Razor F1 2010" in Win 7 ( but then it will turn to orange to charged again after you quit the game)
    3) macsafe 85w turn to green to stop charging when editing AVCHD on Sony vegas Pro 10 in Win 7 (it will turn to orange to charged again after you quit the program)
    4) when the baterry reach 100%. then I run all of 3 heavy program above.. the baterry will drain slowly until 93% then it turn to orange to charging again.
    (this will happen only when you run heavy program) 85w macsafe itself also not enough to run these program.. still need little battery support..
    As i know this will happen to all macbook pro since before Quad core model. You must run heavy program, then you can determin this systoms..
    Lastly, I really hope that all of this symtoms are the "macsafe work design", & not the macsafe fault... & really hope this symtoms will not damage the battery because regullaly charge on & off.
    Maybe This is why new macbook pro design,, you cannot take out the battery... It still need the battery support also, while plugin..
    Thanks &
    Sorry broken english..

    "Maybe This is why new macbook pro design,, you cannot take out the battery... It still need the battery support also, while plugin.."
    Yes — but only when you're working the machine very hard. Most of the time, 85W is ample.
    "But,, we need the official announce by apple regarding this issue"
    No you don't. That's how it works. What good would an announcement from Apple do you?

  • PowerMac faster than intel Mac when running video programs?

    Hello everyone! Having a question now so wonder if any of you have the same experience?
    Recently i have many video works to do. I have a powerbook, which is the lasted 17inch powerbook and an intel imac (early 2008, 2.66GHz). I run the same version of finalcut pro and compressor. But thing become very strange, which is that when i run compressor to make final video files, my powerbook is much faster (about 2 times faster) than intel iMac. When i run XDCAM program to import video clips to finalcut from Sony XDCAM blueray reader, powerbook is also much more faster than intel iMac, and which is about 10time more faster than intel iMac. So it become very strange. I list my configurations below, and any of you can help me to solve the 'problem' or explain the strange fenominal.
    Maybe theres anything wrong with software configurations, any one can also help me with that?
    Thank you very much!
    Powerbook G4 17inch:
    CPU: powerpc G4 1,67GHz
    RAM: 2GB (two 1GB module)
    HDD: 120GB IDE
    System: Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8
    Program: Final Cut Studio 2
    iMac 20inch Early 2008
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2,66GHz
    RAM: 4GB (two 2GB module)
    HDD: Cosair 256GB SSD
    System: Mac OS X Lion 10.7 (tried also on Snow Leopard)
    Program: Final Cut Studio 2 (tried also Final Cut Studio 3 on friends imac with the same configuration)
    Camera:
    Sony XDCAM PDW530 Broadcast Camcorder.
    Media:
    Sony XDCAM blueray disk
    Reader:
    Sony XDCAM blueray disc drive
    Program:
    XDCAM transfer for Final Cut Pro 2.12
    XDCAM browser software 1.20

    Of course it depends on what you're doing and how well you know how to use available resources... the general rule for Logic is:
    >>>Fastest machine with the most RAM you can afford.<<<
    That said, someone who knows what they're doing can get an amazing amount of effects and virtual instruments on an old PPC G5 computer running Logic 8.
    So, while fast machines will allow more plugins/VI with less overloads... knowing what you're doing will take you further so that the difference between machines would not make a difference in the music.

  • Error when running a program /RPM/FIN_PLAN_INT

    when executing the program "/RPM/FIN_PLAN_INT", I'm getting an error stating as "Category ID does not exist for item.Instantiate categories first"
    This error is hitting for only 4 Items in list of all 173 Item. Hence the Financial cost are not getting update for all the items when executing the program. The DB update failed.
    I checked the financial Category IDs and its maintained properly and working fine with other Items. Why this is happening for only the 4 items? Am I missing something in config?
    Please experts provide me some valuable suggesions.

    Hey guys, I'm having a problem running the program. Everything compiles correctly, but then I get the error code linked below. Everything I think is correct here. Any ideas? I posted CinReader as well in case you wanted to try compiling and running it yourself.

    Ok, here's what I did using the JSE 8.1 IDE.
    1) I copied your code into a .java file named "TextShuffleGame".
    It generated about half a dozon errors.
    There are three classes in the program:
    TextShuffleLevel
    TextShuffleGame
    CinReader
    Each of these classes is declared "public" and I got the same error message on each one:
    "class ... is public, should be declared in a file name ... .java"
    so, I...
    2) tried changing them to "private".
    It then said: "modifier private not allowed here".
    so, I...
    3) deleted the modifiers for these three classes and left them as just class. No errors.
    The next two errors had to do with the two import statements:
    "import java.io.*;" and "import java.util.*;".
    It said: "'class' or 'identifier' expected" for both. So, I...
    4) moved them to the top of the source file.
    Didn't help at first. So, I...
    5) fiddle around with them a bit.
    I tried "java.io;" and "java.util;" and then "java.*;" by itself. Still got errors. So, I put them back as you had them and for some mysterious reason, my editor decided they were fine. oO
    This also corrected the last errors in the "CinReader" class. Here is the error-free code I now have in my "TextShuffleGame.java" file:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;

  • Why does it report missing *.dll when running standalone programs on a separate PC without LabVIEW?

    I wrote a LabVIEW code to control GPIB, DAQ and Serial port. Then I built an installer including runtime engine. Everything works fine at the PC with the LabVIEW. I copy this installer folder to another computer without LabVIEW. I had no problem to install the program. But after I run the program, it started to ask for nilvaiu.dll. After I copied it under C\Windows\System32\, it started to ask for nimdbgu.dll, then niorbu.dll. Then it reported "The procedure entry point_pkgModulePackageEventLog@20 could not be located in the dynamic link library NIPALU.dll"
    I guess it missed some drivers. So I installed NI-488.2 for Windows on the PC. But it did not solve the issue.

    hi there
    i recommend to update to DAQ 7.4. the performance is much better.
    best regards

  • ITunes stutters when right clicking in explorer

    Whenever I right click on a folder in explorer itunes stutters very briefly. I'm playing mp3's on a fairly new laptop. I've never had this problem on older computers. I'm thinking it's an issue between itunes and vista. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a fix.

    Hi,
    If it would be visible for a while,  this would not be a group policy setting issue.
    For now, a third party software conflict would be a possibility, can you first boot into Safe Mode to confirm this?
    If it does not persist in Safe Mode, we can narrow down this culprit by Clean Boot.

  • Itunes stutters when playing music

    When I'm playing music in itunes and go to open another program, the music skips and stutters.
    I saw posts elsewhere to go to Quicktime preferences and "change the 'Sound Out' from DirectSound to something more reasonable, like 'Wave Out.'" I found nothing in preferences indicating "directsound" but checked a box marked, "Safe mode (waveOut only)" which did not fix my problem. The skipping/stuttering is still there.
    Any advice is appreciated

    "I am running 10.5.8 on an iMac 27 with a 2.66GHz i5 processor and got the same side-effects after I moved up to iTunes 10.5. Th e problem also continued when I downgraded to 10.4.1 as well, straight afterwards. However, I managed to resolve it fairly quickly in this way:
    Opened the  Activity Monitor, and looked at the processes taking most resources.
    The one that leapt out at the top, if ordered by % CPU, was "ShockWave Flash (Chrome Plug-in Host)".
    So, I closed down Chrome and noted that it was still there. Thus, I sent a force quit to it and waited for it to die. I then re-opened iTunes and the annoying stuttering had gone. I've now got Chrome and this plug-in open and it has not returned. I suspect the issue may frequently be caused by a plug-in like this causing resource contention, but I can't say for sure as I've only seen this once.
    My advice would be to close down, one by one,  as many apps as you can and constantly review activity ordered by CPU in Activity Monitor. If you think you can safely quit the process then do so and retry iTunes. If you're not sure, then gracefully shutdown and look again. Bear in mind, the problem may be launching at startup. Before shutting down, review your Login Items in System Prefs->Accounts->"My Account"->Login Items. Remove anything you can live without. You can always add them back in. If you manage to spot conflicting software then you can look for a patch or upgrade, but at least be aware that it does not play well with iTunes and thus quickly fix your issue."
    May be you can follow a similar process on Windows? I would target your suspicions towards Adobe and Google components :-) !!!
    Hope this helps.

  • Appcomp error when running design program

    Hi, I am trying to run an embroidery digitizing program in Windows XP (I have Boot Camp). Program is Design Shop v. 9. It appeared to install correctly, and I have since installed a newer version. The program uses a dongle and when the program is opened and you begin to use it it crashes and gives me this error message. C:\DOCUME~1\carol\locks~1\temp\c5ba_appcompat.txt
    Program runs successfully on pc.
    I know there are others using this program on a mac. I appreciate any help in making this my actual work machine and not just the most expensive itunes system around.

    Hi Carol and welcome to Discussions,
    googling for c5ba_appcompat.txt gave this link to a Spyware/Malware analysis website: http://www.spywarelib.com/remove--Trojan-Backdoor-bifrose-etv.html
    Could be one reason why it crashes.
    But it is also possible, that this .txt file contains viable informations why the program crashes (e.g. some sort of crash report).
    Might be a good idea to contact the manufacturer of DesignShop about this error.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld when running SQLJ program

    i can compile the program but i can't run it. when i try to run ( java HelloWorld) it gives java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld error message. i have set the classpath, path and oracle_home accordingly to the oracle SQLJ documentation. i'm using win2000 and j2sdk 1.4.0. please help.
    this is my sqlj's code:
    import java.sql.Date;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import oracle.sqlj.runtime.Oracle;
    public class HelloWorld
         public static void main(String [] args)
              java.sql.Date current_date;
              try
                   Oracle.connect(
                        "jdbc:oracle:thin:nicole:1521:kwanyee",
                        "y2net",
                        "y90583008"
                   #sql { SELECT sysdate INTO :current_date FROM dual };
                   System.out.println( "Hello" + current_date);
              catch (SQLException e)
                   System.err.println("SQLException " + e);
              finally
                   try
                        Oracle.close();
                   catch (SQLException e)
                        System.err.println("SQLException " + e);
    }

    I am not too sure about sqlj ...if this suggestion doesn't work I can show you the statndard 'java' way to connect to Oracle. But try this, you probably need to add the oracle drivers to your classpath. Look for a file named classes12.zip ...and add that to the classpath settings like this (on my box):
    @SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;G:\ORACLE\ORA81\JDBC\LIB\classes12.zip
