"iTunes Sync" error

I am receiving the following message when I sync with my iPhone 4 with my MacBook Pro - "3,451 items could not be synced.  See iTunes for more information."  I've been getting this error for a while (# may vary of course).  I don't know where to go in iTunes for help as it is directing me.  I also have no way of knowing what items are not backing up.
Thanks for any help / ideas!

Having the same issue - iPhone freezes up iTunes. If you open iSync you will see that the Enable Sync box is unchecked - if you manage to open iSync at all. I think this is an issue stemming from Apple introducing MobileMe to OS X. Is causing all manner of sync issues for me, and as you are saying, there is no way to enable/disable sync, making everything even more confusing and annoying.

  • IPod Touch / iTunes sync error -50 on iMac, due to new upgrade for iPhoto

I have an iPod Touch, software version 3.0.
I have an iMac, on Mac OS X 10.5.8.
I am on iTunes version 8.2.1.
    I am on iPhoto 09 version 8.1 (415).
Ever since Apple released it's latest iPhoto upgrade about 2 weeks ago, I have not been able to sync my iPod Touch with iTunes, and instead getting a 'sync error -50'.
Apple's phone tech support did not know what the problem was and recommended me to Restore my iPod, as well as re-install iTunes. This did not help.
After much aggravation, I found a discussion group addressing the fact that it might have to do with the latest version of iPhoto. So, in iTunes I unchecked the sync iPhoto option, and now the rest of the sync's worked (iCal, Address book, music, movies, etc).
Still, I am looking for a solution, as I do not find not syncing my photos a long term solution. Can I do this on my own, or does a solution have to come in the form of a fix from Apple?
I want my photos back on the iPod, and am very thankful for any tips/help (...hello, anyone from Apple reading this?).

I don't think any of the work-arounds are really valid or deal with the problem. My Mac Pro desktop computer is 2 years old, so the problem obviously has nothing to do with a computer being new. I also don't see how it can have anything to do with iPhoto. If I get this error and "QUIT" iTunes and reboot iTunes, the iPod syncs perfectly, even though no changes were made.
I actually bought a new iPod this week because I thought my old iPod was failing (due to these repeated errors). Imagine my horror when the brand new iPod had the same problem.
Hopefully someone can figure out what going on.

  • ITunes Syncing Errors under iOS6 on iPhone 4

when I have my iPhone4 (with iOS6 installed) sync with iTunes for updated apps, I always get errors from iTunes telling me some apps are not synced and they will be a such state that tapping them won't open because they are in updating-mode if you know what i mean. I have to sync my iphone once more for iTunes to complete the syncing of those apps. It never happened before when my iPhone 4 was still in iOS5, and only happened after I updated to iOS6. I wonder if anyone is experiencing the same problem as I or not. Am I alone in this problem?

I have a similar problem after installing iOS6 on my iPhone 4S. I need to type the same message twice. The first time it will tell me either my password is wrong and when I type it again and again, I can finally get in. Same thing happens when I'm trying to do something with my iPhone (other than typing my password) and I need to do it twice. You are not alone.

  • ITunes Syncing Error -- "Unknown Error (-69)"

When I try to sync iTunes with my iPod the process stops at the same point, about ten percent into the sync (after about 87 songs), and gives me the following error message:
"Attempting to copy to the disk [my ipod] failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)."
Does this mean that the software is cooked? I know it is a probelm with iTunes software and not my iPod hardware because I have tried this sync with two different iPods and it kicks me out at the same point with the same error message.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  • ITunes Sync Error Message -69

Recently i get this error message when i'm trying to sync songs onto the iPhone. I'm using iPhone software 3.1.2 and iTunes 9. It doesn't seem to backup anymore either, just stalls after a few minutes into it. iTunes doesn't freeze the backup itself seems to. Below is the link to the image that shows the error message coming up on the screen. What did work was I had to delete a few albums (that normally would sync fine) that I got the Error -69 on. After deleting the albums it would sync and then hit another with the same Error -69.

Thanks for the reply even though this is kinda in the wrong section. I've had to remove a few whole albums rather than just one song. Tried unchecking the song but it seems the rest on the album were the same. Any idea why it won't complete the backup also? I did search for Error -69 before posting but no topics come up.
    Thanks.

  • Itunes syncing error

Ever since I updated itunes throught the stupid apple software update, My itouch 4 won't sync. After manually installinmg itunes has a standalone, quicktime and Safari, and making sure I have the proper drivers. Apple mobile device driver and Apple ipod driver in my portable device. All driver are working. The only thing I noticed, when I plug in via usb that I don't it as a "mass storage device" with a drive letter like I first got after problems with in this version. What i get now is
"This ipod cannot be used brcause the required software in not installed. Run the itunes installer to remove itunes, then install the 64 bit version."
Friends, this is the 64 bit version for Windows 7 64-bit. using itunes64 setup files. What other software do I need to install?

"This ipod cannot be used brcause the required software in not installed. Run the itunes installer to remove itunes, then install the 64 bit version."
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • ITunes Sync Error with iPhone

While sync'ing my iPhone 4S (iOS 7.0.4) with iTunes (11.1.4.62) running on Windows 7, it gets to Step 3 of 6, and pop up an error that reads "Unable to load SyncUICoreLocalized.dll". Tried repairing, and uninstalling/re-installing both iTunes and iCloud.
    Any help would be great.

Ever since I installed the latest iTunes update, I've had a variety of problems. My iPhone actually lost all sound. I couldn't hear calls coming in, couldn't make calls going out, no reminders, text notifications, etc. So, I got my replacement phone yesterday only to find that iTunes no longer recognized my attached phone. I had to get tech support to help before I could back up my old phone and transfer data to my replacement. An essential driver had been corrupted. That got fixed, but then I couldn't sync. After nearly 6 hours, tech support still hadn't solved the problem  - not for lack of trying.   Anyway, I tried to sync again this morning and got the "Resource not found: Unable to load SyncUICoreLocalized.dll" message." I then happened to check in this forum and followed the lead from the post above.
I have an iPhone 4S and Windows 8 and use Outlook 2013. Here's what worked for me.
    Close iTunes
    Close Outlook
    Open Control Panel/Programs
Right click on "Apple Mobile Device Support"
    Select "Repair"
Wait a few moments ("Repair" doesn't show any indications of status, so I just wanted to be sure it was done.)
    Open iTunes
Resync (I selected to replace my phone Contacts/Calendar from my Outlook, but that may not be necessary.)
Instead of Sync hanging for hours like it did yesterday, Sync took less than 10 seconds total. I didn't even have to reboot. YAY!

  • Getting Itunes sync errors for no good reason

Have an Ipod classic, 80 Gig and all of a sudden I'm getting the error "attempting to copy to the disk "__" failed. The disk could not be read or written to. Another error was "___ ipod" cannot be synched. The required folder cannot be found. Brought ipod to apple store and they claimed the hard drive was shot so they gave me a new one. Got home, tried to sync the new one with the same results at first. I switched the cord and it was able to sync but stopped at 753 songs and gave error that it was unable to copy songs to disk due to running out of memory. Somebody help me PLEASE!!

If you ever had the Norton firewall even as a demo you may have to use the Norton removal tool which you should find on the Norton site.
I have this link for it ( make sure it is OK for the version you had):
    http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039?OpenDo cument&seg=hm&lg=en&ct=us
It's a bit of a sledge hammer to crack a nut. I used it once and had to do a repair install of iTunes to get my CD dives back.
If you haven't tried briefly disabling the Windows firewall as a test, try that. You might need to reenable iTunes.
It is odd if you are an administrator, as according to your diagnostics, iTunes doesn't think you are. Do you have another account you can try using?

  • IMatch/iTunes sync error

    Hello,
I am using since recently iMatch with iTunes on Windows 7.
I noticed that if I play songs via airplay the statitical information of how othen a song is played and the last played info is not always synchronised or gets overwritten. This happens from iTunes on my Windows pc regular but not always. From iPad or iPhones played it never works. Songs that had a number of played times suddently lose that count and show a blank while their is a date of the last successful play.
Airplay, iTunes, IOS are all of the latest availalbe version, The windows 7 pc is completely patch with all updates.
Do other user have this as well?
    Best Regards,
