It looks like iTunes sync executables crashes when it trying to sync my iphone5s with outlook due to this System Variable.
I'm using Windows 8.1 x64 and outlook 2013 pro+ x64, both with latest updates installed. iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows (64-bit)
The iTunes sync log is below:

Fresh install with all older itunes un-installed as well as other Apple software.
Now cannot get any songs, videos, or even scan library folder for songs to work on the computer.
itunes just simply crashes with no error comments.
This is itunes 10.5 on a Windows 7 Pro system.Same here, though on XP. Have tried cleaning registry, reinstalling, deleting preferences. Created a new user with no library and I have the problem there, too, so it's not the library.
Is there no one to call about this?? -
Problem in picking the system variable value in Calculation Script
Hi All,
We are using a Calculation Script to perform data export. And the target location where to crete the exported output file is given to the environment system variable.
Now I am using this system variable in the calculation script as below:
//ESS_LOCALE English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary
SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
DataExportLevel "ALL";
DataExportOverwriteFile ON;
Fix ( &CurrMiles, &CurrProj, &CurrVer,"No Project","No Version")
DATAEXPORT "File" " " $DEXPORTPATH;
ENDFIX
Here "DEXPORTPATH" is the system variable
I am creating this system variable from the batch script and the system variable value varies at the runtime.
This calculation script works fine for first time and it picks the correct value from the system variable.
But the problem occurs from next execution of calc script. Even if i update the system variable with other value, it picks only the last execution system variable value and it performs execution.
Eg: Suppose for first execution system variable value is "D:\Bkup\PMV.txt"
The calc script works fine with this.
For next execution, system variable value is changed to "D:\Time\temp.txt"
Now the calc script picks the system variable value as "D:\Bkup\PMV.txt"
and performs execution which is wrong.
Please help me on this issue how to handle system variables in calc scripts.
Thanks in advance

SwathiAs of my knowledge system variables will not update immediately...you need to log off the session after changing the value.
Update the system variable..
Log off from the session..
And Re-login with the same username ....and check...

ITunes sync keeps crashing Vista and Win7 - driving me nuts! Please help
I cannot get iTunes to complete a sync of either my iPhone 3GS or my wife's 3G after updating both to firmware v4.0.1. The back ups appear to complete, then the sync goes through app updating OK and seems to crash when loading music in playlists, or when troubleshooting, I deselected syncing music altogether, it crashed during syncing photo albums from folders. When it crashes, the laptop (Vista) just completely shuts off. I clean uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes and had the same problem. I disabled the firewall and anti-virus programs as well with no luck.
Then, I swapped out the hard drive for a new one with a clean installation of Win7, freshly installed iTunes and copied and updated my music library and tried to sync and got the exact same crashing problem with the laptop abruptly shutting off. So after around 8 hours on a Saturday futzing around with this, I have accomplished nothing and am really frustrated. Can anyone suggest something to get iTunes working properly?
Thanks...Will not complete a sync without crashing and saying cannot read to the device or something to that effect.
That sounds familiar.
Just doublechecking ... have you worked through the suggestions from the following document in the course of your troubleshooting to date?

After updating to the new version of iTunes I am currently using, the snyc between my Outlook calendar and phone stopped working. I get the error "iTunes could not sync the calendars to the phone xxxxx because the sync server failed to sync the iphone" I followed the instructions here - Troubleshooting Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010 - to no avail, with the exception of not re-installing Outlook. Not an option on my corporate computer. When I run the Sync test, it says it passes -

Can iTunes sync multiple songs with the same name?
My iTunes library has multiple songs with the same name (but they point to different files on the filesystem).
Curiously when iTunes syncs to my iPhone it will only ever sync two of the files, even if more exists. I suspect what is happening is described below, but I have no way of verifying it:
Let's assume I have 5 songs named IdenticalName, on the filesystem these are named IdenticalName.mp3, IdenticalName 1.mp3, IdenticalName 2.mp3, and so on.
I suspect iTunes is syncing the filename without a number postfix, and the file with the "1" postfix and not continuing with the rest of the files.
Has anyone seen similar behaviour? Did you find a workaround (other than renaming your tracks)?can you manually discover the new instances on the new server?
Then just make sure the name that appears in Grid Control is different.
e.g. prod.world is on server A and B. When you discover in Grid control, you can make it prod_B and you will see the latter without any problem. -
Open a crystal report from WAD with passing the variables values
Hi,
I need to know is there any way to link SAP WAD to crystal reports (open a crystal report from WAD)and pass the values of the variables which are entered in the Web App. (e.g. Customer id,year) should be passed to the Crystal Report.
Maybe we need to pass parameter by WAD URL but this is just my assumption and have no idea how to do this with passing variable values.
right now I know the method of how Bex queries which are used as data source for crystal reports but in my current scenario we have the structure like this that bex queries link with WAD and then WAD is linked with crystal reports.
No doubt that Crystal report is target option in RRI but there the source is Bex Query only but in current scenario we are looking WAD (web template) as a source to crystal report or crystal report called in WAD.
Please suggest something on same.
Thanks
Take care
Vishal sharmaHello Vishal.
Did you find a solution for this problem?
I'm facing right now the same problem, I need a way to link SAP WAD to crystal reports (open a crystal report from WAD) and pass the values of the variables which are entered in the Web App. (e.g. Customer id,year) should be passed to the Crystal Report.
Have found an answer to this issue? If yes, please kindly inform how have you solved this.

ITunes 11.1 crashing with no activity
Over the last 3 days, iTunes 11.1 has crashed a total of 7 times. All crashes happened when my iMac was idle, and I was away. I always leave iTunes running in the background, and when I come back, and if it's not running, I check the logs using the Console utility and confirm it crashed.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Attached is a sample console log crash dump

3 libsystem_c.dylib 0x00007fff8343c191 staHey all I figured out what solved this issue for me. It just surprises me that Apple doesn't take a more active role in these posts and chime in. The solution for me was to remove all of my devices from iTunes that were automatically setup to sync over wifi. I had about 10 devices. I was using this feature to update apps and songs over wifi. I like this feature because it is great for managing my children's devices. But after I changed each one to not "sync with this iPad over Wi-FI" iTunes has been stable and no more crashes. I am sad that I had to disable this feature but happy that iTunes is stable once again. Hope this helps you all!

ITunes - syncing over WiFi with iOS 7
Ever since upgrading two phones to iOS 7, iTunes is spamming the console with constant disconnects:
[date] server iTunes[pid]: Entered:_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:id
[date] server iTunes[pid]: Entered:__thr_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:id
etc etc
This goes on for a while, about every 2 minutes, until iTunes hangs.
Originally, I'd set up these phones to sync over WiFi. After switching this off – only for the devices on iOS 7 – the above errors stop ocurring. Again, this doesn't happen with iOS 6 devices.
Running a Mac mini with Mac OS X 10.7.5.
Any ideas beyond switching off WiFi syncing – which is really inconvenient...Thank you very much!

Aperture 2.0/iTunes sync issue -- can no longer select projects for sync
After upgrading to Aperture 2.0, I no longer have the option to select which projects I want to sync my photos from. It is now all photos or none (with Aperture 1.5, you could select one or more projects). Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there any known workaround?
I am guessing that the error -50 (which I also get) may be related to the fact that if I try to sync all of my Aperture photos, the receiving device (iPhone, iPod or Apple TV) would be full and could not accept all of the photos. The response regarding setting up a library on a local drive instead of external may work, but my guess is that the new library does not have many photos because my library is on my boot drive, the same internal drive as Aperture.

Log and transfer causes FCP to crash with long clips
Hi. I am trying to import a few 2 hour+ clips using Log and Transfer from my Sony NX5. Once the destination clip has reached approx 60GB, FCP crashes every time. There is plenty of disk space left.
I have tried trashing preferences and also changing scratch disks. I am turned off time machine. I am really worried that I wont be able to get this footage onto my machine.
Any ideas?
ThanksIn the end Clipwrap saved the day on this project.
This did happen to me again though on yet another project, where the files were around an hour long this time. In the end I got it to work, not sure the solution but tried the following:
- Selected a different easy setup (choose PAL) - this fixed the problem for a colleague of mine, even though it doesn't seem logical
- Used my internal drive as a scratch disk instead of my firewire drive (normally this is not a problem)
I haven't tried this with the really long clips, as Clipwrap saved me.
Many thanks for suggestions. -
Hi all
I'm using ST Pro 1.0.3 and I'm having problems with the longer clips that are one shots. Specically in the Cinematic genre.
The long ones don't preview and if I try to open in editor or insert into a track the program crashes. The medium and short clips work fine. It seems to be anything over 20 or 30 secs.
They open and play fine in Apple Loops Utility.
Any help would be appreciated.

Rename the original files or make a copy of them somewhere first, just in case!
