ITunes sync show stream and actual songs

Some songs on my iPhone 5S are showing up in iTunes (when I view the iPhone in iTunes) as a song and a s a stream.
Pretty sure these were all downloaded from iTunes using my iPhone.
I unchecked Sync music, sync’d then rechecked Sync music but, alas, the songs stay.
I only see one song when I view them in Music app on the directly iPhone.

SO it is showing a stream and it is showing a download.
These songs show up twice in the Music app on the iPhone, once with the cloud symbol and once without.
If I delete the one without a cloud symbol, it shows back up with a cloud symbol (and I have 2 with a cloud symbol).

You can re-download your apps and ibooks purchases via your purchase history in iTunes on your computer (assuming that it's version 10.3+), and if you are in the USA then you can also re-download music I think - more info here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For music that you ripped from CDs or bought from a source other than iTunes then, assuming that you made/maintained one, you can copy them from your backup - and backups are relatively easy to maintain, so there is no reason not to have one (especially as content is occasionally removed from iTunes so isn't always available for re-download). Otherwise there may be third-party programs that can copy them off the iPad, but you can't do it via iTunes - this post from a year ago was about iPod/iPhone to computer utilities but some might work with the iPad : https://discussions.apple.com/message/11646661?messageID=11646661&#11646661 .
If you've got content in other apps that you want to copy back to your computer then you might be able to do via the file sharing section at the bottom of the iPad's apps tab in iTunes, or they might have wifi transfer capability.

The BPM field can be viewed, but it is almost always empty unless you have taken steps to populate it.
You can use a 3rd party tool to perform BPM detection and add it to your iTunes database:

When adding music to iTunes, you can set it to either make a local copy of the file, or simply point to the original location of the file (for example, on an external hard drive). If it is set to do the latter, it will not be able to play or transfer those files when the external hard drive is not plugged in. You may find the following article helpful:

Installing new version of itunes wipes out playlists and indivdual songs?

Can't access itunes store now, probably because I refused to install the recent upgrades. Current one is 9.0.2.25 and when I installed it, I had to completely recreate everything because this upgrade wiped out all my playlists, a lot of random downloaded songs that were in the Music Library and all the the songs I had purchased from itunes that I hadn't dragged onto my computer. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? In order to keep my playlists and all music, do I have to do a full backup prior to the upgrade and then restore it all after the upgrade? Thanks.

Very occasionally iTunes fails to rebuild the library properly following an upgrade. All you need to do is restore that backup you take regularly... Ah, OK.
In the *Previous iTunes Libraries* folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename *iTunes Library.itl* as *iTunes Library (Empty).itl* and then rename the restored file as *iTunes Library.itl*. Start iTunes. The library should be updated to the new format and hopefully it won't go wrong this time.

*Fast backup for iTunes library (Windows Only)*
Grab SyncToy 2.1, a free tool from MS. This can be used to copy your entire iTunes library (& other important data folders) onto another hard drive or network share. You can then use SyncToy periodically to synchronise or echo your library to the backup. A preview will show which files need to be updated giving you a chance to spot unexpected changes and during the run only the new or updated files will be copied saving lots of time. And if your media is all organised below the main iTunes folder then you should also be able to open the backup library on any system running the same version of iTunes.

HT1491 I purchased a song on iTunes on my iPhone and the song will not download what do I need to do?

I purchased A song off of iTunes from my iPhone and it will not load the song it has been a day and the song will not load. The load bar starts loading and them it goes back to nothing and re starts the download. After a few minutes an icon will pop up and say this song can not be downloaded at this time and has two options retry and done. I don't know what to do, I restarted my phone and it does the same thing.

I'm on iOS 8.1 by the way. I forgot to update my phone information before posting.

ITunes Syncing - Playlists/Directories, and Auto-syncing

I have a very large music collection, and have spent many hours organizing into playlists. My current structure looks something like (Windows based):
C:\My Music\Playlists\
C:\My Music\Albums\
C:\My Music\Mixes\
C:\My Music\Singles\
Within the playlists directory, I have multiple subfolders that I have named according to playlists, like
C:\My Music\Playlists\Playlist-A
C:\My Music\Playlists\Playlist-B
C:\My Music\Playlists\Playlist-C
Some of these playlists are for me, some for my wife, some for my children, and some for just listening to around the house.
Is there a way to have iTunes sync only specific Windows directories to a specific device? I.E. Can I have only Playlist-A and Playlist-B sync to my iPhone, Playlist-C and Playlist-D to my wife's iPhone, etc? Would the iTunes function of 'Playlist Folders' be the solution to this where I can pick and choose which playlist can go to which specific device?
Is there a way to have iTunes automatically sync music in a specific Windows directory to the respective iTunes playlist each time a music file is added or deleted from the corresponding Windows directory? Does iTunes have this functionality native, or does this need to be accomplished via a script?
I don't want top try and sync my entire playlist directory to each device (due to storage limitations, and some musical tastes), but rather pick and choose, but I also don't want to have to reorganize my playlist collection to something like:
C:\My Music\Playlists\My Playlists\Playlist-A
C:\My Music\Playlists\My Playlists\Playlist-B

Installed Itunes on new computer and transferring songs to playlist is extremely slow

New computer purchased, running Windows 7, and after installing Itunes it takes forever to transfer music to playlists. It takes about 1-2 minutes to tranfer the song to the playlist.
I downloaded Itunes the first time and lost the dialog box to finish installing so I downloaded again and installed. Music is on an external hard drive connected via an USB port.
What can I do to speed up the transfer process?

New to itunes and trying to sync show etc and getting synced with another

I download a few free items in tv shows and music. when I try to sync I get a message that says my Iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this itunes library. Whenever I see the word erase, it freaks me out a little. I don't have much on the phone but a bunch of contacts, some aps, and some pdf files in the ibooks. I would rather not erase those. Don't know if it even means it would erase everything or just any existing music files, etc.

Itunes reversed my downloaded and cloud songs on my iPhone

This happened to me twice today, on two different iphones.
I connected each one to my Mac to add some songs I had imported into my iTunes libary from a CD. Everything seemed to be fine until I disconnected my phone to discover that only me "purchased" songs were showing up in Music. All of my own manually added music did not show up. I reconnected my phone and all my music was still visible in iTunes. Yet the content bar at bottom of the Summary screen showed that my iPhone was almost empty, which of course it isn't.
Things got even stranger when I opened the Music settings on my iPhone and toggled on "Show all Music". Then all my music reappeared on my phone. Only rather than being able to play, it had the download button next to each song. Again, this was music I had added myself over the years, only from CDs. I do not have iTunes match. I have never uploaded it to the cloud. I have always used "Manage my own music"; I've never synced musci via itunes.
Can anyone help? I'm using iTunes 11.1.3 on a MacBook Air running OS 10.9.1. Both my iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 are running the lastest iOS 7.0.4. I've tried rebooting both iPhones but nothing has changed.

One last bump. Please someone help. My iPhones have become worthless in the music category. I can't play anything.

Ripped 20 CD's into iTunes, syncs with phone and iPod, but not iPad

So, maybe sync isn't the right word. All three devices will sync, but the songs ripped from CDs only appear onmy iPhone 5 and my iPod touch, but not on the Ipad. I have recently purchased songs from iTunes, and they do appear on the iPad. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks for any help. Oh, btw, I have the newest iPad, right before they went to the Lightning connector
