I have iOS 7. When I go to the itunes store on my ipod touch it gives me a blank screen with nothing on it. I restarted my ipod touch and it didn't work. Can someone help me with this?
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and sign out and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -

My itunes cannot detect my ipod touch 5g. How do I fix this?
All I know is that my itunes has not been updated. If this is the problem, I tried to close and reopen the program but the "update" popup isn't popping up anymore and I'm not sure where I can manually update it myself.
Please help!

Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later

ITunes 10.5 an iPod Touch OS 3.1.3??
I am running iTunes 10.3.1 and have the past few months been able to continue to have my iPod Touch (Dec 2007 - 1st generation) running iOS 3.1.3 do full syncs of my calendars (iCal), Address Book and all MobileMe eMails etc. There was a bit of a special way to set this up earlier this year, but it works perfectly.
Now I did NOT upgrade to iTunes 10.4 when it came out; and I now see that iTunes is 10.5. The reason I'm waiting is that I don't want to suddenly find my iPod Touch won't sync. Can anyone tell me if you are running iTunes 10.5 and using an iPod Touch 1st Gen running iOS 3.1.3 and able to sync contacts, addresses, get eMail etc.? My Mac is a Mid-2010 MacBook Pro-13" running Snow Leopard 10.6.8---
Thanks very much!
Best regards,
Steve Schulte

I have a similar setup and after some initial problems, I can tell you that syncing now works for me.
1st-gen iPod touch iOS 3.1.3
iTunes 10.5
Mac OS X 10.6.8
When I first upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and connected my iPod, iTunes didn't even recognize it in the sidebar and it didn't show that I had any backups for any devices. The iPod was recognized by iPhoto, so I knew it wasn't a problem with the cable or something like that.
So I took the advice in the other thread and downloaded the full iTunes installer. I deleted four com.apple.iTunes[xxx].plist files from ~/Library/Preferences/, ran the installer, repaired permissions, and rebooted. To my amazement, when I launched iTunes and plugged in my iPod, it and its previous backups were recognized, and a fresh backup and sync ran without any problems. -
How do I upgrade my ipod touch ios 4.2.1 to ios 4.3
How do I upgrade my ipod touch ios 4.2.1 to ios 4.3 from iTunes?
That would be because iOS 4.3.x is not supported for the iPod Touch generation you have.

Try
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Before you reinstall the Apple software, also remove iCloud vi Control Panel Remove programs. The reinstall the Apple programs
New cable and different USB port?
Runs this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I have an IPOD Touch IOS 4.2.1 and would like to upgrade to 5. How do I do that? Can't download an app for audio books.
Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; devices running an iOS version prior to 5.0 can't be updated straight from the device. It will be updated to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware
The maximum iOS version for the iPhone 3G and second generation iPod touch is 4.2.1.
The maximum iOS version for the third generation iPod touch and original iPad is 5.1.1.
The maximum iOS version for the fourth generation iPod touch is 6.1.5.
If you don't know what device you have, append the last three characters of its serial number to http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords= and load the page.

Trying to upload music to my itunes library from my ipod touch.
i have windows 7,when i plug in other devices i can see the things on that device and upload them to my itunes library.but when i plug in the touch it doesnt show up under my computer.its an older version of ipod touch.it shows up in the itunes library, but not under my windows librarys
What do you mean by other devices? To access the files on the iPod from you computer other than from syncing and transferring iTunes purchases from iPod to computer you need a third-party program. Some of those programs are discussed here:

Will iCloud work when iMac (1.83 GHz. Intel Core Duo) is running Mac OS X 10.6.8 with 4th gen. iPod touch (iOS 6) because unable to upgrade to Lion due to processor's inablit to meet Apple's specifications for Lion? My family had three iPod touch (iSO 6) devices and currently use iClou, but set it up with a Macbook Air using Lion- but yesterday it died. Is there any way to retain the use of oPod touh devices, iTunes purchases, and iCloud services (and the huge amount of money spent on the) if not able to use the Macbook Air? I know the iMac is "old" but do not have thousands of dollars to purchase new computer at this time.
10.7.2 or later is required to use iCloud on the computer. Your iPod Touch, however, would have full use of iCloud.
