Itunes syncs ALL apps

I have the weirdest bug since a while...
everytime, or almost everytime that I connect my iphone to the mac via usb cable, itunes says "settings have been changed, do you want to apply?" then it doesnt matter whether I agree or not, what happens in both cases is, that itunes starts syncing ALL my apps to the phone, which of course doesnt work, because they would take way to much space on the device.
I then have to manually delete every single app!!!! Then I can sync again via wifi.
What the heck? Any solutions?

I had the same problem when I finally ralized apps were being synched from the sidebar ABOVE the "Automatically Sync New Apps" checkbox. What I did is click "Remove" on apps that were automatically syncing. After I clicked "Remove" on all apps that were syncing, I then clicked "Apply". The iPod then synced and FINALLY solved the problem.
I attached a pic of the sidebar I'm talking about. Instead of "Install" all the unwanted apps had a "Remove" button next to them. Good luck.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

What you need to do is connect your phone to iTunes but do not click sync. Go to File at the top and click transfer purchases from phone, that'll put all your apps into iTunes. When it's done transferring, locate your phone on the sidebar and click it. Then find the apps option above the picture of your iphone, you can select which apps you want or don't want on your phone. After selecting your apps then you can sync. Once you do this you should never have your problem anymore.

Setting up new iphone from a back up and it's trying to sync all apps, this is going over memory capacity. it's also not bring over any of the music that i had on my old phone, any help greatly appreciated. thanks

Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

Yes, you can sync your iPhone just as you did your Touch and get the same songs, apps, video, etc.

If you are referring to the temporary store holding charge as described on the page that you posting, which is 'charged' each time that you change the card details on your account, then it should disappear off the card within a few days or so - though it varies by bank, and with it now being the weekend it might an extra day or two. If they haven't disappeared within a week of them being made then you could contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
Also some apps may be free to download but they then allow you to make in-app purchases to unlock extra features within them - you can turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions on your phone.

Why is that so

Check the General -> Restrictions settings and see if perhaps the iTunes app is turned off there. If not, the app may have been inadvertently moved to another home screen or dropped into a folder. Do a search for the app or try resetting the Home screen layout: Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout.

IPad with a second iTunes library sync: all apps don't work any more...how can I fix the problem?

I was used to sync my iPad (iOs 4.3.5) with my main personal computer (with windows 7 64 bit on it) but after the pc went off I synchronized the iPad to my laptop (windows vista 32 bit) just for searching iOs update...the result was that any apps work anymore!!!!! How can I fix the problem?

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You need to restore your iPad but do not restore from a backup, restore as a new device otherwise you will transfer all the same apps again. My guess is one or more are not compatible or corrupted.

After you have restored as new, sync 5 apps at time then test the iPad. Process of elimination.

Sync all apps, only some apps get sent to iphone

Hey guys, I have had this problem since 2.0 and now even with 2.0.1. Basically I have like 20 apps backed up on itunes from syncing my iphone with itunes. I was having some app crashing problems so I completely restored the phone.
Upon restoring it I was missing tons of my apps on my phone, yet they all showed up in itunes. If I try and sync my apps to the phone it shows its doing it but they just do not show up on there.
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it at all but my fiance and I are both using the same apple id.

Use iTunes to unistal all the apps. After the sync and backup are complete unplug the phone. Look for any remaining apps. These apps have corrupt data, and are what is causing your problems. Hold an icon until all icons jiggle. Tap the little x's to delete the remaining apps. Then press the home button. You might notice the little spinning circle thing next to your network symbol. Wait for it to go away. Then hold the sleep/wake button and hold the home button down at the same time to perform a hard reset. You may once again notice the spinning circle. That is the phone clearing out the straightening it's self out, after the deletion of the corrupt data. After it finishes depress the wake button. You should also have shut down iTunes and restarted it. Plug the phone up and begin putting the apps back on a few at a time. Be sure to eject, unplug the phone perform the hard reset after each sync/backup. This should get your apps running better. The whole phone actually. If you still have issues with an app not syncing. Delete them from itunes and redownload them.

I'v lost all my information on my old pc and now I've bought new pc and installed itunes on it.
now I want to sync all my app to itunes and get full backup from my iphone to pc but just 49 apps out of 313 apps can be transfered.
what should I do to transfer all 313 apps of my iphone to my new pc.
by the way I bought 40% of these apps and I have new version of itunes on my pc

You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc. Use this to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy (not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases.

I clicked on the applications tab, and almost all my apps were unselected. I let it finish, and when it was done, I only had about 10 apps left. I reconnected it to the computer and selected one more app to put on my ipod, and it didn't bring all the saved data with it. I have now lost a years worth of stuff. I tried restoring from backup, but the latest backup was from after it deleted all apps. Anyone know how I can get all my saved data back to my ipod? Also, why would it get rid of all those apps. I know I didn't deselect them.

ITunes syncs ALL episodes of a podcast

I am subscribed to the CarTalk podcast which is a subscription through audible.com For some reason, even though I have it set to only sync the latest 3 episodes, it syncs all of them, taking up a large space.
I've even un-checked the older ones and set the "Only sync checked items" option, and it still syncs ALL of them
What can I do? Or what am I doing wrong?

Chances are that iTunes does not have ALL the old episodes of this show, but you can get whatever it does have by right-clicking on the title of the podcast in your Podcast library and choosing "Update Podcast." After a moment, all old shows that iTunes knows about and which you have not previously dismissed will appear in light gray with "Get" buttons next to them. Just click the "Get All" button above the list.
If you had previously cleared this list but now want another chance to look at it, the only way I think you can see it again is to unsubscribe from the podcast, then resubscribe.
For older shows iTunes doesn't know about, look for them on the producer's website. You may find an archive there. Chances are good that if you download the shows from the producer's own site and drag them to iTunes, the files will have the right information inside them to make them appear in the Podcast library alongside current episodes.

ITunes 'Update all apps' button only updates single app.

I want to update all my apps.
I click 'Update all apps' button.
iTunes asks for my password.
iTunes updates one app.
I click 'Update all apps' button.

Why oh why oh why doesn't iTunes just update all the apps after I enter my password in the first place?

I have just updated iTunes my credit was there before update and now I can't download updates for Apps I have alreaady purchased, receive an error message to the effect 'due to a temporary problem with accounts......use an alternative payment' I don't need to pay for the update and am afraid to Redeem another gift voucher in case it goes missing too I was in MAS this morning and my credit was definitetly there but since the update it has vanished from MAS and iTunes
