Itunes to mp3 disc

some of my music can be converted to mp3 disc and some cant . how do i change it to do so ........

Aloha b...desperately need help. Downloaded .wav files from my digital recorder to my computer. When I open them, Itunes library pops up, but none of my downloads are to be found. I know Itunes plays .wav files because a fellow student emailed me with a .wav download, which automatically went into Itunes and played right away (temporarily). I urgently need to get these notes on a cd so I can study during my car time. Am obviously not a computer wiz...any advice?? Assuming I can figure out how to get these files to show in my library and play, will they be able to be burned onto a cd? Mahalo for your help.

  • How to create different files on an mp3 disc (itunes)

hello! I'm trying to make an mp3 disc from iTunes, i managed to make the mp3 and it works fine, but when i put it in my car all the songs are under one file called "home" (not sure why). How can i divide up the music into different files/more than one file other than just "home"? Essentially i want an mp3 disc divided into categories/files.
    Thanks!

I was searching for an answer to how to delete docs from the "Pages" app on an ipad. I don't know if this is your exact question... My answer for me was to go into itunes, click my ipad under "devices" in the left tabs column, then click "apps" in the top row, scroll down to "Pages" and click. You see your docs listed, select the doc you want to delete and hit the delete key on the keyboard. It'll ask if you want to delete. (I'm not sure if you need to delete it on the ipad also, but that's what I did).
I just added a new doc in itunes, but when I synced the new didn't show up. So I closed "Pages" and iTunes and still no show with added doc, but what I deleted was not there. I then on the ipad I clicked "Copy from iTunes" and added the new doc that way. Not sure why it didn't automatically bring in the added doc this time.
The link I got the "delete" docs info from: http://www.macworld.com/article/151185/2010/05/ipadfiles.html
    Hope something helps.

  • Why won't iTunes record all songs I tell it to onto an MP3 disc?

    Latest version of iTunes....
When I try to record an MP3 disc using either MP3 CD or Data CD (my car stereo handles both just fine) the final disc has some songs skipped and cuts out around track number 40. And, just to make life interesting, the players I drop the discs into will sometimes insist on skipping tracks. (i.e. will refuse to play or recognize songs 24, 26, 28, 30, 33, 35, 37, etc...)
If I copy the MP3 files to a pure data CD using any program except iTunes, it burns and plays fine.
I can't even begin to come up with possible causes for this glitch. Any ideas?

sadly  Apple does not allow you to gift using iTunes Store credit
that's just the way it works I have tried myself and I know it doesn't let you
    Sorry

  • ITunes MP3 discs won't play in car MP3 stereo

    Hi there...
I burned some MP3 discs, in MP3 disc format, on iTunes that I play on my car MP3 stereo player, and the car MP3 player won't recognize the disc or play just one or two songs on the disc. I'm burning them on CD-Rs. Furthermore, my old MP3 discs I burned on iTunes 3 works FINE on my car stereo, it's just discs burned with the recent versions. Does iTunes convert MP3s in a different way now? Any ideas as to what I can do?
Also, mp3s I create on itunes are not recognized properly on my Motorola cell phone as mp3s... they call them "QP3"s; mp3s converted on a PC are still recognized as iTunes. Any ideas as to why that's happening? Whew, that's a lot. Hope someone can help and thanks for your time...

twangus, your problem could be (let me stress that word could) the way iTunes is burning the disc and your car CD player doesn't like it.
iTunes burns dual platform MP3 CDs: ISO 9660 (for Windows) and HFS+ Extended (for Mac OS X). It could be that your player doesn't like these discs. To test this you should burn your MP3 CD with third-party burning software that allows you to specify what format to burn the disc in. Either exclusively ISO 9660 or HFS+ Extended.
Two burning apps that will let you do this on a trial basis are Dragon Burn and Disc Blaze. Roxio's Toast will also allow you to choose the target platform for the disc but it has no trial version.
Try one of these apps and let us know your results.

  • Receiving "internal error" when trying to burn mp3 disc from playlist

I'm trying to burn an mp3 disc from a playlist that I've created. Unfortunately, I keep getting an error. I'm currently running iTunes 11.0.2 on my iMac which is currently running 10.8.3.  I've done this many times before, and this is the first that I've had this problem. Here's the error I keep getting:
The attempt to burn a disc failed. An internal error occured.
If you want to retry the current failed burn, click on Retry. If you want to go to the next disc burn, click on Next. Otherwise click on Cancel.
    Here's how it goes down:
I've created a very long playlist which will require the use of multiple discs.
I right-click on the playlist and select to burn the playlist to disc.
I then get the usual burn settings pop-up menu where I select the "MP3 CD" format with a preferred speed of "Maximum Possible"
Note: Since experiencing this error, I have tried varried speeds ranging from 8x to 24x; I still get the error.
Note Also: I have tried selecting "Audio CD" instead, and the playlist will burn and the error does not appear. This is not an option I want to go with, however, because of the length of the playlist — it would take, like, 25 discs...
For a moment iTunes will read the disc, then ask permission for the playlist to be split across multiple discs. I say "ok".
At this point, iTunes will say that it is initiallizing for about a split second then immediately say it's finalizing and spit out the disc. This is when the error pops up.If I select to "Retry", it doesn't retry to burn; it just saves a .txt file to my desktop that is  a copy of the error message. There's no error code/number or anything, though - just the exact same message. "Cancel" and "Next" seem to behave correctly, though.
I have tried repairing disk permissions and restarting my computer. I've also tried using different brands of CDs: Memorex CD-R and Innovera CD-R. The error persists.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i Tunes wouldn't burn an MP3 disc- mentioned error 4500-anyone know what this relates to?

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

I currently have two dell computers one laptop and one desktop. I am planning on going to get a new Mac laptop this weekend and i had a question about the windows install disk that came with the computer i already own. the disk is distributed by dell and says only for installation on dell systems. could i use this to install windows into boot camp on my new mac, or will it mess up the bios and such?
It won't work. Dell only supplies recovery CDs. They have the hardware needed for the Dell and that's it. I would also guess that it does not have SP2 incorporated into it. You could mess up your Mac, but it would not install so why even bother with it?
You need the full XP with SP2 embedded or Vista CD or DVD. Anything less won't work.

  • My itunes isnt burning discs. some of the songs are AAC audio and others are MPEG??

my itunes isnt buring discs. some of the songs say they are AAC audio and others say MPEG audio. i dont know if that has anything to do with why its not burning but i dont know what else could be wrong

If you're burning an audio CD, it shouldn't matter. If you want to burn an MP3 CD, then all the tracks must be in MP3 format. iTunes will not convert them on the fly.
    Regards.

  • Burning MP3 disc rearranged the songs

    Greetings,
OK, I took 4 albums by the same group and made a playlist of the songs I wanted and jumbled them so they were no longer in their original order and all one album was together. I put them in the order I wanted. I burned an MP3 disc and on the burned disc all the songs were put back into their original order and in there original albums which were in alphabetical order. I don't want the songs in that order. I want them in the order I rearranged them in.
Why is it doing this? It didn't when I did this with 4 other albums by another artist months ago. It made discs with the songs jumbled up as I has listed them in the playlist. But even this old playlist from months ago, which burned just as I arranged it, now puts the songs back in their original order and the albums in alphabetical order.
How do I make it burn a MP3 album in the jumbled order of the playlist?

Here are the instructions from the page you liked to:
How to burn by playlist order
    Create your playlist.
Click "Song" to sort the playlist by song.
Make sure the songs are in the order you want to hear them on the CD.
    Click Burn CD.
Insert a blank CD and burn the disc.
I have yet to find "Song" to click on. The word is nowhere to be found. It'd be nice if they'd tell us where "song" is so I can click on it.
I've also noticed the program sometimes will not "read" that I've inserted a blank disc.
None of this was happening last week. Is there a way to go back to iTunes before the last (lousy) upgrade?

  • Creating a multiple playlist mp3 disc

I am trying to create an mp3 disc to play in my car with a few of my playlist in itunes, but I can't figure out how to put more than one playlist on a disc without all of the songs being filed into one list. help?

Using File > New playlist, create a new (temporary) playlist called "Burn Me Today." Drag in the songs from each individual playlist. Burn from that playlist, selecting the "MP3 CD" option.
When you are done, you can delete "Burn Me Today."
This process does not change the individual playlists in any way, so you will end up as you began, but will have tunes for the car.
But that makes one big playlist, which in the car appears a huge list of tracks.
What the OP wanted was each playlist to show up on the CD in the car, which works if they are in folders.

  • All files from x hard drive or mp3 disc have a "!" symbol  in front of the song titles in my library, and i cant find them on my ipod

all files from an external hard drive or mp3 disc imported to my itunes library have  a "!" symbol in front of the song and i cant locate them in my ipod.

The exclamation point means iTunes cannot locate these tracks/files in the location you originally imported them from.  Meaning either they were deleted or moved to another location.  Right->click on any track and select Get Info. Then under the Summary tab look to see the location where iTunes is looking for the track.
If nothing else, removed all your missing tracks and re-import them.

  • Burn MP3 disc from IPOD software?

I have amassed my library of MP3 files into the Itunes library folder.
Then I created a playlist and tried to use the "Burn disc" option..... assuming that since these were MP3 files, it would burn an MP3 disc.
IT WON'T, it burns a standard WAV audio CD with the miniscule capacity compared to MP3.
How can I get the ITunes software to burn the playlist of songs to a CD in MP3 format?
Can I still use the song sequence feature of the playlist allowing me to move song positions in making an MP3 disc? (assuming it's possible to make an MP3 disc)
I have scoured the Apple site for support articles and found absolutely nothing on IPOD burning of a CD disc.

Thanks. That is the control I couldn't find, I had to switch the burn mode to MP3 to be able to burn songs in MP3 format. Once I got it switched, it did burn an MP3 CD from the playlist.
Might be more usable if that select option (for format) came up as a selector box when one hits the "burn" icon to burn the CD.
There is so much stuff buried under layers of menus that it is very hard for the newbie to find things.
I did a search on the IPOD support site for "burn CD" and got absolutely nothing.
I'm thinking it shouldn't be this difficult to do simple things.
Thanks for telling me the location of the control.

  • Burn MP3 disc with just tracks and no folders

    You Guys Rock!!!
I would like to know how to burn an MP3 disc with just tracks and no folders. Right now, all songs show up as foler 1 song 1,2,3 --- then it will go folder 2 track 1,2,3,4 etc. I want to get it to simply read track 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc. all the way through the disc.
I typically get 80 songs on a standard CD-R disc. There may be 30 folders all with 2 or 3 songs within them. It is very confusing to scan through to the track I want to hear next.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

    Dell Dimension 3000   Windows XP

Select the playlist then click on the Name cloumn & burn the CD.
If you sort by Artist it will put them into Artist/Album folders.
If you sort by Album, it will put them into Album folders.
get iTunes to burn with no sub-folders (ie, CD/Rock or CD/Pop and not CD/Rock/The Eagles/Take It Easy.mp3)?
Never seen it burn into Genre folders./Album folders...
