i don't have airport express at the moment, is there a cable which i can purchase that can connect my G4 iMac 1ghz to an AV amp? is it just a mini jack to phono cable?

I set up my G4 iMac with the Griffin iMic and fed it into my very powerful Yamaha Amp's Auxiliary input. The music that I get through iTunes compared with playing a CD is in a word "base-less, lifeless and thin." Even with iTunes Equilizer adjustments galore.
At present, I have to run the input through a very long cable (I put the computer near the E-net switch to use a rather short E-net cable I had available). I had a 25 foot long stereo coax extension cable to go from the iMic to the Amp.
If you or anyone knows if I can set this up and get something a least close to a CD playing from a CD Player, I'd love to hear from you.
Do I need an additional device to get a strong enough signal (although it seems that it's really only the base that's lost through this setup)?

Connecting itunes to an amp- can it be done using a time capsule?

I have an amp about 6 feet away from my Time Capsule and wondered if there was a cheap and easy way to be able to play music from my itunes library through the amp? My iMac is elsewhere in the house and I would like to use my iphone to remotely access the library and play music in the room where the time capsule and the amp are.
I have done some research and buying an Airport Express would be one way of doing it. Seeing as I already have a wireless network with my Time Machine & have printer sharing, etc. it seems I would be paying for a lot of functionality I already have. It also seems an expensive solution for what I need to do. Could you recommend another way of doing it?

Unfortunately the Time Capsule is missing the circuitry that the AirPort Express has that processes the AirTunes stream to get it out to your amp. So, whether the Time Capsule or your iMac is hosting the iTunes Library, in order for your amp to be able to use it, you will need the Express.

How do I redeem iTunes card from Australian store front

My friend sent me two iTunes card numbers from Australia to USA. When I tried to redeem them a message popped saying I must redeem from Australian store front. What does this mean and how do I redeem the cards???

Mac mini running Plex and no sound coming through the amp.

I've got a Mac mini OS X 10.6.8 and I downloaded the Plex program to play movies and tv shows. I can't get any sound through the amp while watching through Plex. The Mac mini and amp are connected via HDMI cable and I know it's been set up right because I can run iTunes through the amp with no problems.
Anyone have a solution to get sound through the amp?

For sound, try the audio output port and connecting to the RCA audio input ports on your Pioneer receiver. Use something like this:

I noticed recently with the new iTunes 7.0 & onwards some of my songs were not working properly ending 30 seconds before the end etc.
I backed up all my music & downloaded all my songs again but during this I deleted some of my old playlists to remake them & accidentally deleted the Official iTunes versions of My Top Rated, Top 25 Songs, & Recently Played. I tried making new folders but weren't the same I then tired re-installing it they didn't come back. If anyone has done this or knows how to get them back or how to create/make them again or do I have to uninstall it completely & do it from Scratch?
Any help will be great fully received.

Thank you, Curt, But as I wrote - I know the keywords are embedded, and I can even see them in Bridge, if I use preview - but the moment I close it - they are gone again
Export did not work either (after seeing the keywords when I did the preview - I tried exporting them - the file contained only the keywords that came with the installation.
The good news is I solved it (in a crooked way ) - I have downloaded and installed the trial version of LIGHTROOM 2 , imported all the pictures - and then Exported all the keywords.
I do not think this is the way it should be done, BTW, but it worked for me.
from now on, I will export my keywords periodically, until the trial version is due.....
I hoped somone from ADOBE would look at the problem and give a solution - but my guess is it is a bug, and they do not have a better solution.

HT1937 Why is It when I sighn In to my iTunes account and try to update it asked me to log in to someone else's iTunes account.

When I log into my iTunes account enter MY email & password then go to update my apps it asked to to enter a whole different iTunes account email & password of a current friend instead of my own. We put in her info then says to enter payment information but I don't want to enter my card information on her account. Please help.

This means the app or apps you want to update were downloaded with your friend's iTunes account or Apple ID.
All apps, all paid and free apps included DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download the apps.

Finding nemo removed from itunes store again??

I noticed Finding Nemo was available on december 4th. I went today to purchase and it was removed from itunes/not avaialbe & did not show up when searched.
Why did this take place?

I had the same issue on both app store and iTunes. To resolve just sign out of iTunes and app store, go to your purchase and sign back in. Problem solved. Note I had to sign out and in in both iTunes and app store!

Infact I have no "Apps App" to tap & open so i cannot view/purchase any Apps for my iPhone
My wife's even tried downloading Apps to my iPhone from our iPad after syncing them up but all it seems to do is send me the App badge from our iPad to my iPhone but cannot open it because the App is still 'Waiting'...Waiting for what???...nothing!??...No download???...just a faded App which won't open? ITunes automatically starts & plays

I agree with/have same problem as vinfromacton.
I know it's Flash causing the problem:iTunes had been functioning normally until this morning when I downloaded Flashto allow me to listen to archived radio programs on the internet.
Once I downloaded Flash, iTunes startedopening and playing automatically ~ every 2-3 minutes. Annoying as it playsover audio I am listening to &/or recording.
Only fix I've found is to turn iTunesvolume down to zero: does not stop iTunes from opening - it continues to do so- but I don't hear the iTunes audio.
I'm also going to try dr alexander'ssuggestion: Open a blank Playlist > leave iTunes focus there>quit iTunes.
It reopens but at least it'ssilenced....
Haven't tried it but I would imagine uninstallingFlash (need to download the uninstaller from the Adobe website) would solve theproblem. This however would lead me back to my original problem: no Flash >cannot listen to audio archived on the internet and other internet audio...
I'm also going to call Apple: I haveAppleCare. Will re-post after talking to them.

HT5714 I preordered an album but it won't download after I got ITunes money in my account

I preorderd Midnight Memories but when the album was released I didn't have money in my Itunes account, so I bought an Itunes card ($25) & when I went to download it, it wouldn't let me. It just says 'purchased' but it's not in my music. And when I look in "not on this IPod" under "purchased" it's not there. :( Or in downloads. I rreeeaaalllyyyy want to download this album. It's important to me Ughhh.. HELP ME PLEASE ILY

Okay, I had the same exact issue. Here's what I ended up doing. I went into settings>music> and then selected it to show all. Them I exited settings and went to artists>One Direction and scrolled to the album. It showed 'complete album' and I just did that.

Why when I try to sync my iPod does the error message come up that it can't be backed up to my computer???!

I'm having issues syncing my iPod today! I sync once a week, I've got the latest version of iTunes, but today it tells me that it won't back up to my computer, WHY? Since updating iTunes, it keeps coming up with a separate error message about not being authorised for the library thing, after I've synced/used iTunes... Oh & it point blank refused to recognise my iPad to sync. It's driving me potty :(

My podcast feed has not updating.

I can't see any obvious reason for this: the feed is OK apart from some minor issue with the html coding you've used in the summary/subtitle tags - this is messy, not fatal. It can be subscribed to manually in iTunes, or from the subscribe link in the Store page, and both episodes show. I can only suggest giving it a couple of days and seeing if it corrects itself.

This is wrong anyway, and is showing in the feed as - iTunes will render & but not non-breaking spaces and many other codes: this is XML not html. See http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#commonmistakes . You should remove this.

Why, when I try to do a search, does the system change the wording to another subject

I ask for information on High voltage feed back from my KDL -46XBR9 TV into my cable box, causing damage to the cable box. I still need an answer on that problem, but the Sony search engine changes the wording to programing, widgets and other garbage, it will not search for what I ask.
