ITunes to USB Issues
New car has USB port for audio play. IPhone & iPad work fine thru this port, playing all iTunes music and showing album covers. Copied iTunes to USB drive using folders for individual albums and music plays great but only a few album covers show up. What am I doing wrong?

I recently bought an Ipod touch 2nd gen, (Ebay). It's in great shape and seemed to be wiped clean.
When I connect (via windows computer) to Itunes with usb cord the Ipod icon shows, but the only function you can do is eject. When its in the upper right hand corner and you click on it all you get is a done button, when it's in the side bar right click and your only option is eject, left click has no effect. If I go to "file">devices it's as if there are no devices connected.
I purchased a song with Itunes on the Ipod itself, and it transferred to my library on the computer automatically .
I have an Iphone 5 and a nano that are still functioning with Itunes thru computer so I'm thinking the issue is with the Ipod touch. I've reset it several times, rebooted it, with no change.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I started having issues charging my Iphone and found that if it was switched off and on mains power it would charge.
It does not allow syncing with Itunes and or usb conncection.
I have a lot of photos on my phone that I have not been able to save (USB issue) and I am worried about retrieving these.
If my phone is connected to mains power - the apple icon comes on - then it goes off - then a few seconds later the icon comes up again and then off again?

Any help troubleshooting iTunes type legibility issues after scrolling
iTunes type is illegible after I scroll down a page. I'm using Chrome on a Window 7 (Pro) machine (64) with an "Intuos 4" Wacom tablet (USB). See image of screen capture below for illustration.
The issue is happening everywhere I browse in iTunes store. It usually happens on several button's type at once effecting the legibility so bad it's unreadable. It is only occuring in the iTunes Store and not in 'Library' or any of the other areas of the application interface. So, I assume it has to do with a browser integration?
When navigating (browsing) in iTunes store, the issue is consistantly happening using my scroll wheel as well as my pen. It's early and I've been up all night, so there is probably something I've left out here, but I will check back later this afternoon.Jgreg14 you have my sympathies. 36 hours ago while using my iPad I was told that my Apple ID had been disabled. Follow step 1 to 6 closely to recover your iPad.

That screen is asking you to connect the device to iTunes to restore it.

Driver update for Win 7 USB issue on nVidia chipset systems now available
This patch is needed for the TouchSmart 600 AIO Desktop series if you haven't installed it.

It was available too late to get it out on HP Update before the holiday break. I don't believe there have been any rolls to the Win7 upgrade disks. I do recommend (while still on Vista) running HP Update and installing all applicable updates - PRIOR to doing the Win7 upgrade. Also - I'd double check the drivers page for your system for any Vista updates as well, best to do any driver/BIOS/Video BIOS updates prior to the Win7 upgrade process. I know that some of them were created before Windows 7 was out - and may not want to install if it sees the newer OS.
As to the fix - this could manifest itself in many ways - but essentially - this resolves system flakyness with USB devices attached . Some internal devices (card readers, touchscreens, some Wireless LAN interfaces) connect via USB - so they could be affected, even if you haven't hooked up anything to your system externally.
Not sure just what problems you were experiencing, so can't say this was the cause (and will be the fix) - but if it applies to your system - I'd definitely give it a shot. I checked a couple of systems that had this update - I see it now on the software drivers and update page for them, so it looks like it rolled out OK.

Recently my 4-yr-old 24" iMac has been having USB issues. The only peripherals it will see are the mouse and keyboard (and a printer if it is plugged into the keyboard). Nothing else plugged into the USB ports is recognized - no iPhone, no printer, no hub, nothing. The built-in iSight camera and Bluetooth have also disappeared, and I know they are USB related as well. Genius bar says $450 for new logicboard. I can't find my AHT disk
The USB ports all seem to work with the mouse and keyboard. Any other suggestions? (I have reset PMU.)Try resetting the SMC, if it doesn't work the first time do it 2-3x. Also try doing a PRAM reset.

• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
• Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
• Release the keys.

I had an update message on my phone and I clicked yes to update. Now the phone has a picture of itunes and usb connection, but can't be used. itunes says I have to restore my phone, but will lose all the data. Is there anything else I can do? It's in recovery mode. There is nothing left on the phone at all. If you didn't back it up before you started, your data is gone.

Yes, but back up the library first. Note that if you're using Mac OS X 10.5.8, you won't be able to update iTunes past 10.6.3.
