ITunes Told Me to Contact iTunes Support to Finish my Transaction

I went to download a song and it told me that my credit card zip code did not match my bank records, so I checked it and it does, then it told me it was invalid credit card information and I was holding the card and checked all the numbers, which were also correct and then it told me to contact iTunes Store support to complete the transaction. Please help...

Hi,
Login to your iTunes account. Now from the iTunes menu bar click Store / View My Account.
Click: Edit Payment Information. *Make sure the Security Code for your credit card is available*. At the bottom of that window click: *Reset all warnings for buying and downloading.*
Empty the cache also. From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: *Reset cache.*
Restart your computer and try again.

This is why apple *****. Yesterday- everything is fine, today- contact support. Like I have time for this? My apple accounts have been a password/account/username/customer service nightmare. Is there no way that I can log in and manage my account myself? So where is the problem? Contact iTunes support as they suggest and you should be able to complete your purchase. If the matter was serious you would not have received that kind of invitation.

Did you follow the instructions in the message and contact Apple, which you can do through iTunes Store Support. If Apple have asked you to contact them, then the issue can only be resolved by them.
