ITunes too many http reconnects

Too many http redirects when I try to open the Categories or Top 25 section on my iTunes, using my iPhone 4. I've tried resetting my network settings, signing in and out of my iTunes, and restarting my phone by pressing both my home button and power button at the same time. I don't know what else I can do to fix this phone issue. Any helpful advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Guday, try signing out of the itunes and app stores under Settings>iTunes and App Stores tap your apple id to sign out. Then go back to the iTunes or App store and attempt to download an app or item you wanted and then sign in when it prompts. Let me know if that works for you.

    HI Krinaformwa,
There may be many reasons for this problem. For instance, you may have an internet connection issues or Apple servers may be having problems. However you may also be victim of a known bug. To resolve this bug,  simply tap Settings>General>Date and Time. Set the date ahead to some time in the future. Then try to connect iTunes or App Store again.

  • HT1904 correct itunes re: too many http hits

now that my apple account is updated, itunes hit my credit card today for the movie rental i attempted to rent on 2/4, however won't download it due to "too many http hits". where do i go to fix this issue?

You could try deleting the system preferences .plist file in your "bad" user account. It's likely a pref file in that user account. I thought iTunes plist was the likely culprit, but apparently not.
During all of this, have you tried restarting the computer and/or logging out and logging back in to the user account?
Worst case scenario, you could move your iTunes Music Folder into the Shared folder under Users and access it from the other user account.....Possibly a workaround you could live with until someone comes up with a better solution?

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router

  • AppStore Show "too many HTTP redirects" .. HELP

    Im from Malysia,
when i try to view apps in my iphone 5 apps store, it gives the ''too many HTTP redirects" message, what is the problem? someone enlighten me please.

Hi Markc Anthony. I was using iOS 5.1.1 before this and decided to upgrade. I did a full Update to iOS 6.1 through iTunes. I used one of my iCloud backups to bring back all my apps and Data. Since then I've been getting a message saying "Too Many HTTP Redirects" on the App Store.
I troubleshooted the steps by doing each of these steps:
I tried different Sections of the App Store and all gave me the same message "Too Many HTTP Redirects"
I went ahead and Check iTunes App and it looks like it has no issues.
I went to Settings\iTunes & App Stores and clicked on my Apple ID and signed out. I made sure every other switch was off. Then I went back to the App Store and still got the same message.
I went ahead and turned off the iPhone by holding the button at the top right corner and when prompted I slided the "slide to turn off" button. I waited about 5 seconds and then got to hold the top right button again until the Apple Logo flashed again. I still got the same message when I went to the App Store.
I went back to Settings\iTunes & App Store and signed back in. The App Store would still give me the same error message.
I finally gave up and did a full reset using iTunes again. I plugged in my iPhone clicked on its icon on iTunes and choose the button "Restore iPhone". I did not recovered from a backup this time and instead set it up as new. That actually worked. I am back to using my iPhone with no issues.
You all can try recovering from backup it might actually work, but I am having a feeling that the error may have to do with recovering from a backup using iCloud. You can try it again, but make sure you let it finish and do not stop it (There is a way to stop it).

  • HT3209 too many http redirects

Has anyone ever got this message when trying to downlaod a movie " too many http directs"

You need to do a factory reset (erase all content and settings), set up as new phone, then input your icloud info to restore some data lost (contact ect..)
    1. Set icloud to sync your important information
    2. Remove any / all data from the device (backup will not work)
***PERFORMING A BACKUP VIA ICLOUD OR ITUNES WILL NOT RESOLVE THIS ISSUE - IF YOU RESTORE FROM BACKUP THIS FIX WILL NOT WORK! MUST SET UP AS NEW PHONE!
    3.Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings
4.Setup the iPhone (You Must Set Up As New iPhone)
5.Go to app store - no error
6.Sign into icloud and itunes account (Do Not Restore From iCloud Backup)
7.Go to app store - still no error
    Hope this helps.
    -Tucker

  • Iphone, too many http redirects

I am trying to use an app I have already downloaded and used before but get the message "too many http redirects"

Try Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings (you will need to re-enter your wifi passwords after the reset). Failing that backup to itunes and restore the iOS software to fix any software related problems.
