ITunes trouble with rented movies

I rent a movie with iTunes, and start it while it finishes downloading. Within 15-20 minutes, the screen will freeze and I need to force quit iTunes. When I reopen, I can't find my rented movie. What's going on?
(I have already checked for all available updates.)

Not sure what to do, can't seem to rent on Apple TV tonight. Netflix is working and Itunes on my MAC is working. I can always plug Mac to sound system but.... Anyone out there ith same trouble today.

I appreciate you trying to help. However, I have NO idea how to check for a '3rd party DNS'. As I said, it worked flawlessly on Monday. Wouldn't that mean I was corrected properly?

You have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) after you've started viewing to finish it. Once the rental period expires, the movie will disappear from your iTunes library.
This is a link FROM the Apple TV page. So I should have 30 days to watch the movie. Under Settings is a "Search for rented movies" option. Isn't that where you would find your rentals that you have not watched yet?
It's not that I don't WANT to troubleshoot. I just do not have a CLUE how to provide what you are asking for.

Why no answers to iTunes hanging with rented movies??

I have yet to see a rented iTunes movie. On TWO pc's, iTunes simply will not work with rentals. I have written customer support and they refunded my rental fees but the only suggestion I got was to use an updated QuickTime. Well folks, updating QuickTime AND iTunes made no difference. I've seen others posting the same problem on this forum with no replies. WHAT'S UP??

I am having trouble downloading rented movies. It tells me it is going to take 150 hours to download a 1gig movie. I am using a macbook pro. My internet is hight speed broadband and is working fine. Any ideas how to fix this problem? this has happened twice now.

I am using a new Apple TV streaming box. I cannot seem to get any itunes movies to completely download. If they do completely download, it often takes a day or more. Even when the download is apparently completed, ATV will often re-authorize the movie purchase...and the download process begins again. That is about the time I send emails and get refunds. NETFLIZ works beaitifully - fast, easy to use, NEVER a problem. I use a MAC, iPad too but have not synced either with ATV.
Am I doing something wrong? This is incredibly frustrating for my family!!!!

Trouble with rented videos

With rented movies I have had two that stop at some point while watching for the first time then won't move past that point and finally video screen goes black any ideas?

No you can use it for any purchases on AppleTV you just have to enter the card via iTunes on your computer. The credit from the card will be available to any device that is signed into your account.. (iPhone, AppleTV)

Has anyone had any trouble with the Move tool in Photoshop (v14.2.1)? I'm getting a dimmed bounding box akin to the transform bounding box, but this one won't let me apply or escape.

Having trouble suddenly with the Move tool creating a bounding box that wont let me release it by any means. It remains there no matter what, and now I'm having trouble using the Paste Into command.

Are you trying to move a background layer by any chance or a layer that is partially locked?? If you have show bounding checked in the option bar you should see the bounding box.

HT1498 Trouble watching rented movie on Apple TV

I have rented movies through my laptop several times and transferred them to my Apple TV to watch them. However, I rented one the other day and after I transferred it and pulled it up to play it, I got the message that I wasn't authorized to do so. However, the other movies I've rented I can play without a problem.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am having the same problem. Rented a movie tonight. Downloaded it to my ipad but when I try to airplay it to my Apple TV, I'm only getting sound. I have checked my Apple TV is updated, I restarted it and unplugged it for 30 seconds. On my Apple TV I checked itunes for rentals and it says there is nothing there. The only thing I have not tried is restarting my ipad. It's an ipad 2 btw. If I get it sorted out, I'll let ya know how.

Trouble with .avi movies on newest MacBook Air

I am very happy with my macboorAir but have trouble viewing .avi movies. I downloaded DIVX Pro (paid) and some movies converted from .avi to dvix in the free version of the program. However, after installing the DIVX Pro, the converter states it has converted the film correctly, however it is not stored anywhere, not traceable. Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Your question is very confusing and messy.
Best I can recomend is to download Perian, which is free codec pack for QuickTime - http://perian.org/
or/and
Download opensource VLC Player, which plays practicaly anything that can be played

My itunes was recently removed from my computer, and im having a little bit of trouble with it. is it possible to put the music from my ipod to my itunes? because its not letting me.

iTunes jargon
RESTORE - to erase all data, ie music, address, video etc in the connected iPod and populate them with factory settings.
Why do we need to do this? When the iPod hardisk filesystem is corrupted and the iTunes cant map the iPod hardisk file structure, to add new data, music, videos etc.
SYNC - The process, where iTunes overrides all data, music, videos in the iPod, with the iTunes Library. So if the iTunes library in your PC is blank, then iTunes will erase your iPod, till blank.
iTunes Library - the folder in your PC/MAC that contains all your data/music/video etc. The iTunes does not treat the iPod as a store, but rather as huge landfill, so you need 3rd party software to recover any data from the iPod back to the PC/MAC.

Hi there. Does it actually give you a message stating it's going to charge your credit card or is it simply asking to verify your information? You may see a prompt if your information is not up-to-date or if you have an expired credit card on file.
Also, Apple TV does show the credit card summary but it will charge your gift card by default as long as credit is available. You can verify your available credit by going to Store > View My Account from iTunes on your computer.

My Apple TV lets me play iTunes music on my TV (at the other end of the house) over Wi Fi connection but rented movies stall after a couple of minutes, saying there is no network connection. Having attempted to watch this way I am then forbidden to continue watching on my desktop as teh movie has been allocated to 'another device'. I'm only three minutes into Skyfall!
My iTunes library is on an external USB 2 drive. I'm wondering if it's failing to stream fast enough?

Troubling finding rented movies on Apple TV

Having recently been given an Apple TV I have managed to play music from iTunes and view photos however I cant view the film I rented via iTunes. Looking at iTunes it is showing that the movies has transferred to Apple TV but i cant find it. Confusing there is no folder called Rented Movies.

In iTunes under the devices list the AppleTV will have a tab for movies and ransferring rentals.
On AppleTV the rentals will be at the top of the Movies options under Rented Movies (or similar).
I assume your AppleTV runs software 2.0 or higher.
