ITunes U access

Hello,
Can anybody tell me why I can only access some of the uni site and not all. I'm successfully downlaod some of the materials before and now I want to add new materials. Unfortunately, every time I try to access the sites (I'm interested in MIT's OCW particularly), I got the pop-up messages saying that the site requires iTunes 6 min, to access even though I'm using the latest v.7. This happenned on both platforms i.e. OS X 10.4.9 and XP SP2.
Any thought or hints to solve this is appreciated. Many thanks. nz/
n.b. Although I don't think this is relevant, I'm acessing the site from the UK.

You should see what I have in mind for the app! The very least will be the ability to upload files and automate that process (via AppleScript and Automator). This way, you'll be able to give a faculty member a settings file and he/she will be able create a complete workflow using a tool like Profcast and my humble app.
But I have a LOT more in mind ... stuff that will make being an admin as simple as possible.

You need to follow the instructions in this article that best apply to your situation:
Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
If you do not have a backup in either iCloud or iTunes, then you will have no way to retain the information on your device because you will have to restore it in order to access it again.

  • How do I re-allow iTunes to access my iPhone

    Using:
iPhone 5s (just updated to iOS7.1 last night)
iTunes 11.1.5 (updated two days ago)
    What happened:
I connected my phone to my computer today, and I opened iTunes. I immediately saw a message on my phone saying "Do you want to trust this computer". I selected "Trust" on the phone.
Then, iTunes kicked up a dialog saying "Do you want to allow iTunes to access this phone?". I clicked "Yes". And then I got the dialog "To allow, please respond on your iphone". But nothing ever happened - just infinite waiting (hours).
So I clicked "stop" - thinking I could reinitiate the process again. But now iTunes doesn't react at all when I connect the iphone.
    What I think happened:
I tested an old iphone to check (with iTunes already open). I connected the phone. And first I got the iTunes dialog about "allowing access". Then once I allowed, it prompted the phone to give me the dialog box to "trust" the computer. And everyhting is ok.
    What the problems are:
    1) If the dialog box on the iphone to trust the computer is supposed to be prompted by me on iTunes, then why did it come first on my 5s. And since I already told the 5s to trust the computer, why isn't itunes able to see that I've already told the phone to trust the computer.
    2) Since it seems I'm in a dead end, is there a way to prompt iTunes to ask again to access the phone so I can redo the whole process?
    Thanks!

Sorted it folks. Sorry to taking up bandwidth.
    Solution was the classic:
    -Restart computer
    -Restart iphone
Now iTunes just recognizes the phone without any of the "trust" dialogs reappearing (even though I "stopped" it before). Odd - but sorted.
Though, I would still love to know if anyone knows if there's a way to reinitiate the "access/trust" dialogs a different way.
    Have a great day.

RealPlayer can cause conflicts with Flash Player because it tries to assign EVERY TYPE of video or audio file to itself by default. I haven't used RealPlayer in years for that reason. It's an unnecessary program anymore. There are apps loike VLC media player that cna do EVERYTHING it does without conflicting with other apps like Flash Player.
With WIndows 8, Microsoft began embedding FlashPlayer themselves into Internet Explorer. Because of that, you cannot download and install it from here. You cannot uninstall it from Internet Explorer without removing a specific Windows Update first. And you cannot update it via this website. ONLY through Windows Update can Flash Player for Internet Explorer be updated.
That said, you probably DON'T have a virus that's causing the problems with Flash Player and Internet Explorer. Many, many websites are not "recognizing" the browser.
This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released IE11 The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player.
So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • How to show iMovies in iPhoto (for iTunes to access for AppleTv and mobile)

I have read a few posts on this but cannot find a definitive answer...
If you import movies into iPhoto, iMovies can access them. But if you import into iMovies, it seems iPhoto cannot access them, which means iTunes cannot access them to stream to AppleTV or sync with my iPhone and iPad, as iTunes does not see iMovies.
Because I have a DV Camcorder I have to import my home movies to iMovie which gives me this above problem in that I cannot see them in iPhoto/iTunes/AppleTv.
So am I right in thinking the best way to have all applications see my movies is to export them from iMovie into iPhoto as follows:-
    1) Rip to iMovies from the Camcorder
    2) Find the files in Finder
    3) Import into iPhoto
    4) Delete the originals from iMovie
Then I should be able to see the newly imported files in iPhoto in iMovie AND iTunes??
I cant find or think of an alternate solution.
    Thanks

I've decided to give the following a go...
Basically I originally wanted to use iPhoto for movies and photos so I have them all in one place and because I think Albums, Smartfolders etc. are great. Movies go hand in had with photos of the same event. But I also wanted them in iTunes to sync. with iPad, iPhone and play via Apple TV.
The file sizes from camcorder videos got me thinking I don't really want the massive files in iPhoto/iTunes/AppleTV etc. So have now decided to use iMovie as the library for the original large files, from which I can edit and make some compilations etc. then export those new movies of lower filesize (mp4?) into iPhoto for use with iTunes, Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
I decided that when I finish importing I may look at putting the iMovie library with original DVs onto an external drive (due to filesize, if this is possible). So when I want to use iMovie to import and edit and make movies I will plug in the external hard drive where they all are, do my stuff, then can unplug and put away. That way I do not need to delete the originals due to filesize (I did not want to have to re-import from the camcorder again in future so do want them stored somewhere).
It also means I dont have every single video I shot in iPhoto, iTunes etc., not all of them are good.
Then my main computer with the iPhoto library has all my created and edited and new format movies to store for use with iTunes, Apple TV etc.
So I think this sounds like a good plan for me.
iMovie -> Original movie library manager (external drive due to filesize)
iPhoto -> Photos and edited movies library manager (Mac drive for AirPlay and mobile sync)

  • TS1717 iTunes says " Accessing iTunes Store " but isn't opening store after a long time. What is wrong with my computer?

Whenever I try to open the iTunes store off my Windows7 laptop , this is the screen I see. My computer is usually pretty fast and whenever I do it on my house computer ( which is 50 times slower) it comes up quickly.  All it says is iTunes is  "Accessing iTunes Store" and I've tried everything from turining off my laptop to taking the battery out to uninstalling and reinstalling the iTunes store. Please help. Thank You.

Okay ... niot entirely sure what's going on with that.
If we can't check for conflicts with Autoruns, we could instead just try clearing out the Winsock registry key manually.
Let's try wiclee's instructions from the following post:

Try running several malware scanners to see if Kaspersky missed anything. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:

    * [http://www.superantispyware.com/ SUPERAntiSpyware]
    * [http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php Ad-Aware]

  • Itunes will not open after uninstall and re-download, I only get a message itunes match accessing itunes store which goes on for a long time

I could not open I-tunes.  I had used it a week before but it was spotty and then eventually it would not open at all.   I uninstalled it then downloaded it.  I restarted the computer.  When I tried to open itunes, I got a message "ITunes match. Accessing iTunes store" and it does not go beyond that.  I've tried this process twice.  I had my Norton support service do a tuneup and they downloaded iTunes but it will still not work. help!

  • ITunes Store access causes "iTunes has Stopped working...Windows is check..

When accessing iTunes Store from iTunes, which has worked well for several years, it stops half-way through progress bar and then I get the "iTunes has Stopped working...Windows is checking..."..then " A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you..."
Probably not a related problem, but also, when synching with an iPhone that I recently reset, copying just 188 tracks in selected playlists to transfer to the iPhone, the copying stops and hangs after just a few tracks, so this is unsuccessful too.
Another iPhone worked a synch but fewer tracks to download!
I've uninstalled and re-installed iTunes 9.2 etc - doesn't fix problem. Any help please?

Wow, that is crazy .... but it worked! Thanks for taking the time to post that up as I would never have even dreamed of thinking that the display drivers would stop iTunes working... that *****.
For any one else - this was Windows Vista on a Dell inspiron, went to Start menu-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Device Manager -> Display Adaptors -> right click on ATI Radeon (in my case) and then "Update driver software" and let windows search the web

  • ITunes Account Access 12.0.1

    Hello,
On my mac, I updated to Yosemite. I could successfully log in to my Apple ID the initial time and then when I click on my profile and select any of the options under my account like "Wish list" or "Redeem" it makes me put in my password again. When I enter my password it doesn't tell me if I have an incorrect password or email but just puts an endless loop of putting in my password. I've already logged out of and logged into iTunes atleast 10 times now and closed and open the application. I've even changed my password twice just to make sure it's not the password.
Is this a problem for anyone else?
I've successfully logged into iTunes but can't access my purchased songs and account info through iTunes but I can access my account through everything else with my apple ID.
    Cheers,
    Slightly Anger Customer
Edit: I also rebooted my Mac.

Bump - Still can't access my account. Restarted my computer again and accessed my Apple ID through different applications. (iCloud, DLing apps, bought music, ect.) Can do those things fine but not access account information through iTunes.

  • Is there a way to transfer music from my ipod to a new computer using itunes WITHOUT access to the old computer??

Is there a way to transfer music already downloaded on my ipod to my new laptop, without having access to the original computer with itunes?? It is on my boyfriend's computer and we broke up - not a good option to ask him to use his computer...now I'm worried I won't get all my music back!

    Hi,
I don't know if you can help me any further, but maybe you can direct me somewhere that will??
I took your advice from above and went out and downloaded CopyTrans, paid the $20, downloaded everything - it worked beautifully!! Everything backed up and iTunes had all my songs.
Then I guess I'm a huge idiot or just got overzealous, so I plugged in my iPhone, because I had a few purchases on there and thought I could everything in one place on iTunes. Something happened really BAD and all my songs on iTunes deleted and were replaced with the few that I had on my phone, plugged my iPod back in and somehow I must have clicked on the wrong thing and the iPod synced with the iPhone songs! I feel sick to my stomach!! Is everything gone???
I did a "backup" in CopyTrans, but I have no idea where it was saved on my computer - when I go back into CopyTrans it acts like I need to pay again and doesn't show the backup file anywhere.
Do you have any ideas or know where I can go for help - or is it a lost cause?

  • Advice Needed: iTunes U Access Policies?

I am looking for some advice from other iTunes U universities on how your institution is handling some policies and procedures regarding iTunes U. We are having some difficulty resolving some issues between our Office of Legal Affairs and the Deans at our multiple colleges. I'm hoping some of the experiences at other iTunes U universities, may help us to move forward.
My first set of question is how are faculty being granted upload permission to iTunes U. Basically, are they having to sign some agreement or go through training before being allowed to upload to iTunes U? Are they allowed to upload directly to the public side or is that handled by a "gatekeeper?"
My second set of questions is about "gatekeeper" access for multiple colleges within a university. On our campus, we have a business school, a law school, an arts school, and so on. We want each college to have their own gatekeeper to oversee the content being posted on iTunes U for their school. Again, your gatekeeper having to sign some agreement or go through training before administering uploads to iTunes U. How are they being authorized access? LDAP? Blackboard? Other?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

    Thanks for your response.
So, am I to assume faculty are freely able to upload to the public side of iTunes U?
