ITunes U empty list

I've installed iTunes solely to use iTunes U. Supposedly there is a lot of free educational content. However, my iTunes comes up with an empty list. If I go to Apple or Stanford, it finds my iTunes (I have to specify where it is, and then it opens it), but the list is also always empty.
What am I missing?

Do you mean you are going directly to their websites through your browser? If so, and if it works in the same way as Podcasts, then clicking a link on their sites will open iTunes +but this doesn't always take you to the detailed part of the Store.+
Instead, go into the iTunes Store (through your iTunes, by clicking on *Store/iTunes Store* on the left) and you should see *iTunes U* on the top bar (along with Music, Films, App Store, Podcasts, etc). Either click on the *iTunes U* or on the arrow that appears to its right when you hover over it. The arrow allows you to choose the sub-section of *iTunes U* directly.
You should now be able to browse through the *iTunes U* selection and on the right, under *iTunes U Quick Links* is *Universities & Colleges.*

  • ITunes missing from Media Browser -- "open itunes to populate list"

    I am on a MacBook Pro 10.7.3 running GarageBand '11 6.0.4 and all of the sudden no tracks will display under Audio in the Media Browser (Photos and Movies still appear). No tracks from either iTunes or GB show up. This is confusing as I have been using GB to make podcast/music mixes for more than 5 years and I haven't changed any settings or done anything different, but now I get the message "open itunes to populate list" or "To see GB songs here, open GB to edit and save your music."
    Also, for quite some time I have been unable to go the alternative route of dragging tracks directly from iTunes and dropping them on to the timeline in GB -- that used to work, but mysteriously stopped, so I am dependent on the Media Browser for importing music.
    I read thru the forums and tried the advice given to someone this was happening to in Final Cut -- recreating iTunes .xml file. Did that, still no tracks display.
    Other advice says to reinstall GB or iLife altogether -- I hope to avoid this, but if I need to go this route, how do I reinstall GB w/o a disk? Can I do it through App Store and will it recognize that I have already purchased it?
    I am dying to be able to get back in to my music mix making in GB, so thanks in advance.

    you can't, you'd need to find the DVD

    no, it'll only recognize your purchase if it was through the app store

    Hi r,
    Make sure you close iTunes before shutdown.  And you're quite welcome.

  • I have DELETED calendars showing in my iTunes Sync Calendars list!?

    iMac late 2009
    OSx 10.10.2
    iPhone 6 Plus
    iOS 8.1.3
    Completely Up to Date!
    no clouds involved, no calendar subscriptions.
    I have had a major problem with my Calendar's calendars, which I have completely repaired using Calendar.  During that process, I had to rename a number of calendars in order to keep track of what I was doing - an intermediate diagnostic step.  Once I'd gotten everything right, exported all the "good" calendars to .ics files, and deleted ALL CALENDARS - both the good ones and the intermediately named ones -  then imported the .ics files back into Calendar... leaving me with ONE FULL SET OF CLEAN CALENDAR data.  When I open Calendars on my mac, I see 33 calendars listed on the left side of the window.
    My problem now that I'm ready to put my calendars back onto my phone, is that my Calendars Library (library/calendars) still has many of the intermediate calendar files (that have NOT been DELETED) and in iTunes, the list of Calendars includes all these same intermediate calendars, as well as the new calendars that I want to transfer to my phone.  I would prefer to "select" "ALL CALENDARS" but I can't do that until I can remove the calendars that were supposed to be deleted/removed in the first place.  In other words, I have 33 good, clean Calendars, but there are 71 Calendars in my Calendar Library.
    What are the correct steps to remove the Library/Calendars folder so that the iTunes "Sync Calendars" list only shows the 33 good calendars, and not the 38 unwanted (deleted) calendars.
    What do I have to do to finish the job?

    I have/had the same problem. I tried deleting all the "Library" "Calendar" preference files I could find and like others nothing worked. Like others they would just recreate themselves.
    BUT, I did find the solution. Not sure which part worked, but this is what I did.
    I quit all the apps, Calendar, and iTunes.
    I went into the folder pointed to by job-seeker above:
                   <user>
                   Library
                   Containers
                   com.aple.CalendarAgent
                   Data
                   Library
                   Calendars
    Manually went through each cached calendar folder and looked in the info.plist for the calendar title listed below "<key>Title</key>" and deleted the parent folders of no longer existent calendars.
    Then find an app called "Reminders", open it and you will find all the deleted calendars that you have deleted over the years, they seem to get cached in it, delete them and quit.
    Relaunch iTunes and find the deleted calendars in question are gone.
    I think you could skip all the above and just try deleting the old calendars from this Reminder app and it may work, but the above is what I did when it worked for me and I do not want to recreate the problem just to verify my theory. ;-)
    Hope this helps,
    Michael

  • ITunes is empty in Media Browser

    Hello everybody!
    I have a problem with the Media Browser in iMovie and iPhoto 09 on Snow Leopard (upgraded): The part "iTunes" is empty.
    But everything is fine in iDVD and also in the finder part "Media" when you "Open a file".
    I tried to reinstall iLife 09, tried iLife spport 903, tried to delete iApps.plist iMovie.plist and iphoto.plist and reopened the apps in different orders. So far, nothing.
    I tried to reinstall the mediabrowser.framework using Pacifist, nothing.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Alright, I solved this problem at least for myself. Hopefully this works for all of you guys.
    (Note: Quite all iLife and iWork applications before doing this)
    Step 1. Download and install Pacifist http://www.charlessoft.com/
    Step 2. Insert Snow Leopard Disc
    Step 3. Run Pacifist
    Step 4. Click "Open Apple Install Discs"
    Step 5. Select Install Disc in Pop Up Dialog and select "Choose" (it can take a couple of minutes for the disc to load)
    Step 6. In the search field at the top of the window type "mediabrowser" (no space) and the second result should be a folder. When you select it it should show that the file path is Library>Application Support>iLifeMediaBrowser
    Step 7. Select the iLifeMediaBrowser folder and click the "install" button in the top left of the window
    Step 8. Click "Install" in the pop up dialog then input your password in the next window and hit ok
    Step 9. Enjoy your media browser being up and running again
    If there is a dialog that says something about possible file damage or something to that effect, just hit continue. You'll be a o.k. and up in running again.
    I hope this helps any of you!

    Itunes doesn't list all of my recent podcasts. My show is Black Tribbles and it only shows episodes through March 2013, however we do at least two shows a week and they aren't listed. The feed works because the show update to my computer. Help please.

    Your feed is at http://blacktribbles.podomatic.com/rss2.xml
    When subscribed to in iTunes the recent episodes show, but the Store hasn't updated for some time.
    There appears to be an issue with the feed. In the episode 'WRESTLING MARCH MADNESS: Final Bracket & Championship' of 31st March you will find in the 'description' tag the following line:
    4. KURT ANGLE
    At the end of this line is an invisible character which seems to be wrecking the feed - although it works OK when suscribing in iTunes it won't load in a browser (and I also found the feed very slow to load, which won't help matters with the Store)
    This sort of thing usually happens when you paste text in from a word processing application and manage to include one of the invisible control characters. I don't know how easy it will be do do it in Podomatic but you should delete that entire line and retype it to remove this charter.
    You should keep an eye on the time it takes the feed to be accessed - if there is a long enough delay (and it was quite some seconds when I tried) the Store may well timeout and fail to read it. At the moment it's showing a cached version from the last time it was able to read it.

    A playlist takes up almost no room. A few kB at most.
    It is simply a list of songs in the library
    Do you want the playlists or not?

    I have the same problem on the latest iTunes software and Windows 7. My window is maximzed and I do not see any tab for photos. Seems related to a recent update (IOS7?) as this was there - at least before the very big change to the interface.

  • ServletFileUpload.parseRequest return empty list in Struts 1.3?

    I used ServletFileUpload.parseRequest(request) to get my list of items, with Struts 1.3, JBoss 4.2.2GA(migrated from JBoss 4.0.5GA) I am using JDK 1.5, on myEclipse 6.6 ( migrated from myEclipse 5.5.1GA).
    My file upload application used to work and ServletFileUpload.parseRequest(request) used to return non empty results as a List<FileItem>. I am not sure ( that's the frustrating part) what has changed, but now I am getting a empty list!
    I have switched to previous version of JBoss 4.0.5.GA, and myEclipse 5.5.GA and still it didn't work. I know what I need to have for this to work, i.e. :
    JSTL tag in JSP:
    <html:form enctype="multipart/form-data"....>
    <html:file styleId="uploadFile" property="uploadFile" size="40" />
    My FormBean has uploadFile as FormFile and getter and setter for it.
    I wrote a Utility class to include this apache commons fileupload API and my action class calls the Util class.
    The Util class looks like this:
    DiskFileItemFactory factory = new DiskFileItemFactory();
    ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload(factory);
    List<FileItem> items = (List<FileItem>) upload.parseRequest(request);
    Like I said, items used to return non-empty results and I was uploading file just fine. I am using Struts 1.3, Spring 2.0, which hasn't changed. And even though my myEclipse and JBoss version changed, I did revert back to the previous version just to test them and still am getting empty list.
    I am pulling my hair out on this, I'd really appreciate any input and if you need more info, I'd be happy to replenish them!
    Thanks in advance!

    The current release BEA Workshop 3.2 (build 569), does not bundle Struts 1.3.5 and is also not aware of Struts 1.3 release.
    However, this should not stop you from manually importing the Struts 1.3 libraries or samples into Workshop.
    Preferences | Workshop Studio Facet Libraries | Struts Libraries, is used by the New Web app and Project Facet wizard to import the libraries on creation. Instead you can manually copy/overwrite Struts 1.3 libraries in your existing Struts project.We will keep you posted on the 1.3 support release.

  • How do I change my iTunes library from albums listing alphabetically back to artist listing alphabetically.  Before the last update to iTunes, everything was listed by artist, now it all is listed by album name.  I can't find a way to return it to artist

    Before the latest update to iTunes, everything was listed by artist.  All albums by the same artist were listed together.  Now they are all separated by the name of the album instead of the artist.  How do I return to the other format?

    Are you viewing it in Artist view or Album view? In Album view, it should still list albums by artist name, then album name. If you're in Album view, you might be looking for Artist view.

  • Reading .csv Files & Empty List Elements

    I have an application allowing users to upload .csv files for
    import into a database.
    The issue is however, that in some cases every column in the
    csv file will be populated, and in others, not.
    As ColdFusion ignores empty list elements I cannot accurately
    import data based on it's column numbers.
    I'm curious how others get around this issue.

    ckbentdesigns wrote:
    > As ColdFusion ignores empty list elements
    Yes, most list functions ignore empty elements. If you are
    using CF8, try the listToArray function. It has a new attribute
    includeEmptyElements.
    Otherwise, there are several solutions. I listed a few of
    them in this thread. Though there are others. You should google
    something like:
    ColdFusion csv Files Empty List Elements to see other
    options and the +/- of each.

  • Error "Empty list of services in WSDL" at Web Services Navigator

    Hello all,
    I have a problem when trying to test my web service in the Web Services Navigator. I will have to call this web service from a web dympro.
    This is the error I get when selecting my destination in the search form:
    Empty list of services in WSDL http://wsdl_url
    (( [See screenshot|http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6381/errorwebservice2xh9.png] ))
    What I've done until now is:
    1) I published a web service based on a custom ABAP RFC using the creation wizard and finally I published it in our services registry.
    2) I created "metadata" and "execution" destinations using the Destination Template Management in CE.
    I haven't done any configuration in transactions WSCONFIG/WSADMIN or SOAMANAGER. (Could I have something missing here?)
    BTW, I am new at CE and web dympro...

    Hi,
    I've the same problem when calling a self defined WebService from Web Dynpro.
    I created the service by using a proxy, creating an endpoint with SOAMANAGER and publishing it via WSPUBLISH.
    The errormessage 'Empty list of services in WSDL' is right cause the section
    <wsdl:service name="...
    after the binding-section at the end of the WSDL is missing.
    I tried the same with a SAP-CRM-service (CRM_BPBASICDATABYNAMEADDRQR) and here all is fine cause in the WSDL the service-section is existent.
    I'm using the Services Registry of SAP PI (SAPKB71006)
    May be this help somebody to help us.
    Regards
    Christoph
