ITunes U. Public Site Manager Site Disk Usage Reports

Hi All,
Is there any way for me to know how many total subscribers we have in the on our Public Site? I see on the site disk usage reports the number of people who have subscribed that week, but I want the overall total.
Thanks for any help!

Hello,
Our college just went through the migration so i am speaking from this experience which, hopefully, might help you.
1. Make sure your Apple User ID is the same as in your iTunes U Admin site primary admin's ID.
2. You need to enter your school's primary admin sign in URL in Safari. The URL for your institution should be something like this: https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/SignIn/cwu.edu
3. A new window will come up on top of iTunes requiring you to sign in using your Apple User ID and password. Enter them and click Sign In.
4. Now you should see on the upper right hand of the screen in your iTunes admin site, a new button you never saw before. I do not remember the exact name but it is something like Migrating to Public Site Manager. And it is in red color. When you click that button, it will walk you through the process step by step.
Hope this helps.

  • How to increase Disk usage reported in Resource Monitor

    Hi,
I wonder how I can increase Disk usage reported in the Resource Monitor. When I use the 7200 Hard drive or SSD, the max usage is 1Gb/sec.
    Thank you for your help.
    HN

    Hi,
As I understand, you want to increase the size of the root partition (where you installed Solaris) which resides in c1t0d0s0. I think it can be done using Concatenations from Solaris Volume Manager (SVM).
I have tried it in non root partition like /export/home and it is very easy.
    metainit -f d0 2 1 c1t0d0s7 1 c2t0d0s7 //this will create volume d0 as a concatenation
    growfs -M /export/home /dev/md/rdsk/d0 //this will grow the /export/home partition

  • SQL Server 2008 R2 Disk Usage report showing incorrect data file

When I go to ANY database (System, AdventureWorks*, user) in Managemant Studio, I right-click on the db, select Reports, select Standard Reports, and select Disk Usage.  The disk usage report shows the correct db on top, but always only shows AdventureWorks_Data.mdf
when I expand Disk Space Used by Data Files section.  This happens to any db I try.  When I look at Database Properties/Files for that database, the logical and physical file names are correct.
Since the correct files appear in Database Properties/Files, I'm hoping it's just a bug in the report.  Same thing happens if I run a Disk Usage by Table report for ANY database,  The tables for AdventureWorks always only appear,
    Thanks,  Mike

    Thanks Tibor!
I looked at the Properties for my login under Security/Logins and it shows my default db to be master.  Not sure if this is correct, but it sounds plausible.  I'll see if I can report the problem.
The only issue I can think of that was out of the ordinary for the install of 2008 R2 EE was this:
I originally installed 2005 DE, since it wouldn't expire.  After the install of 2005 DE, I decided to uninstall it and install 2008 R2 EE.  In between the installs of 2005 DE and 2008 R2 EE, I installed/uninstalled stupid stuff like 2008
Express, 2008 Express with Advanced Services (?), and 2008 EE.  After each uninstall I also did a system restore to be safe.
Now each time I open Management Studio, i get a pop-up stating that there are SQL Server 2005 registered servers on my sytem and asks me if I want to add them into Management Studio.  I always say no.
The AdventureWorks db is from 2005 and was installed automatically with 2005.  I installed the 2005, 2008, and 2008 R2 AdventureWorks databases to my R2 for class.  I'm not sure now if the Disk Usage report is showing me AdventureWorks_Data.mdf
because of my install into 2008 R2 EE or my previous install of 2005 DE.
Hope this kind of makes sense...

  • MYSTERY! Why isn't disk usage reporting properly or consistently in OS X (Lion)?

Hey everyone. I have an Early 13" MacBook Pro with the following specs...
Software: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
Processor: 2.7 GHz Core i7 (quad core)
    Memory: 16 GB (1333 MHz DDR3)
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
    Hard Drive: 500 GB (7200RPM)
I recently reinstalled the OS without restoring from ALL data from Time Machine. I manually copies my Documents, Pictures, and other files the my new Home Folder. I then proceeded to use Singlmizer to do a duplication check on all my personal files. I also archived about 150GB of old data I rarely look at. I was excited to see how much space I'd saved myself only to find that OS X reports that I have LESS... See the System Information screenshot below for details.
I use a USB disk to backup my system using Time Machine, and what's really odd is that neither DaisyDisk nor OmniDiskSweeper  sees these "backups" files when scanning. I've checked the disk for errors and it comes back clean... AND... Finder seems to show the a larger amount of free space...
Get Info on the system disk ("OS X" in this case) also shows a larger amount of free space...
And finally, Disk Utility reports the lower number...
It seems that for some reason the Disk Utility is the root cause and I'm guessing that System Information queries Disk Utility for it's information while Finder does its own query. Maybe? At any rate I'd really like to resolve this issue if at all possible. Does anyone have some suggestions? Thanks in advance!
    Tony

SOLVED! You were right, It was a hidden folder at /Volumes/MobileBackups.
There is a cmdline tool "sudo tmutil disablelocal" that disables local cache for Time Machine. By default this is enabled for laptops, and disabled for desktops. They aren't required and are merely snapshots that that are eventually moved to the backup disk next time its connected, but this cache is NEVER deleted. It acts as a sort of purpetual image of changes to the disk. The easy way to know whether it's look at the Time Machine preferences pane...
    Snapshots on:
    Snapshots off:
Here are the commands to manipulate the snapshots:
•To turn Snapshots ON:   sudo tmutil enablelocal
•To turn Snapshots OFF:  sudo tmutil disablelocal
•To make a Snapshot:     tmutil snapshot
It's strange that I've never had this problem before.

  • Accessing Public Site Manager

I've successfully migrated and published our site using Public Site Manager. How do I access PSM in order to edit the public site? When I use the admin log in the page no longer has a Public Site Manager link as it did before publishing.

The Sign In URL is the same for all iTunes U Public Site Manager sites and is: https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/DZStudio.woa/wa/SignIn

  • Can I tell Dreamweaver an alternative location for storing data created  in "Site Management" - "New Site"

    Hi,
I am a high school librarian. We have Windows SteadyState
installed in our computers to ensure the software and settings
remain unchanged after they are used. What Windows SteadyState does
is it keeps a master copy of the profile of the public user account
in "c:\Documents and Settngs", and every time a user logon with
that account , a copy of the profile is made from that master.
After the user logout, that profile is deleted. It happens that
Dreamweaver also keeps its application data such as website
management data in that profile. Can I specify to Dreamweaver an
alternative location to store those data instead of the default
    "C:\Documents and Settings\"?
    Please help. Thank you.

will it work to have each user Export their site definition
    using dw
menu->site->Manage Site->Export, and then save that
    .ste file in their
website's Local Site Folder, or some other location not
    erased?
Then before starting next work session, if they double-click
    the .ste file,
dw will import and re-define that site.

  • Manage Sites/FTP: Can't see site files in local view.

    Dreamweaver 5.5
    Mac OS X.6.8
I have several sites set up in Dreamweaver. All are working correctly except one. This one site I moved files using Finder into a deeper directory and then moved them back up to the top level directory. I have been working with the site since and saving, so that's not the issue. I am mentioning it because that is the only unique thing about the site that isn't working.
When I look at the site in the Files panel, I can see the directory I set up in Manage Sites but no files inside it. If I put all to my remote site, 0 bytes are transferred.
    So far I have
    1. removed the site and created a new one.
    2. Closed the app, blown away Drmwvr prefs, and reopened. The site is still there, so that prefs file doesn't cover it.
Any ideas? I cannot FTP files to my host if Dreamweaver doesn't "see" the files I need to put.
    Thx

Moving files in Finder is fine as long as you can follow the moves in your files panel. Troubles start when you move files outside of DW and then can't keep up with them. Broken links, orphaned pages, etc.
In Sites>Manage Sites you need to Edit the site in question and browse to the new root folder location. Then browse to the images folder and SpryAssets folder if you have one. Once you have redefined the site with the proper locations, the files will appear in the panel in DW.
As long as you haven't deviated from the correct structure on the server, you should be able to put files and they will upload.
As a rule, when moving or renaming files in a defined site, do it from within the Files Panel in DW, not in Finder. DW will update links and pages when you do and things will go much more smoothly.

  • How retieve ste data records(I did not export) in Site manager

corrupted my vista (files exist not lost) how retieve ste data records(I did not export) in Site manager for use in a new installation... was dw cs4 now dw cs6...

Unless you previously exported all your site definition setting and saved them to a safe place (i.e. an external drive, local or remote site folder), you must manually recreate them in CS6 via  Site > Manage Sites > New...

  • Site manager For network logons

    Hello everyone,
My name is John, and i am an ICT Technician for my school. We
have been using dreamweaver for a few years now, and have come
accross a slight problem with the "site manager" tool. Basically,
we have 2000 Network users who we are looking to use this tool. The
user can set up the site with no problem, but the information is
lost when they log off the network. So, when they log on they will
have to set it up again.... What can be done to fix this problem?
Any ideas will be gladly recived :)
    Thanks,
    John

    > All the "Site manager" features work properly. However,
    > when we log off, ALL the data to do with the MY SITE
    profile has been removed.
question- is this machine running some kind of "rollback"
    software whose job
is to wipe out any changes to a person's profile or
    non-approved registry
entries? This has come up before in questions about school
    lab computers not
saving site information. At shutdown or at midnight, the
    entire computer is
restored to a predefined state automatically
If there is such software on the machine- see if there is a
    way in it's
settings/preferences to have it allow dreamweaver site
    entries to the
    registry and not wipe them.
otherwise- a work-around is to have the students use the
    Export button to
create an .ste site definition backup file. Put that in a
    place that's not
to be wiped. Then next work session, dw
    menu-->site-->Manage Site-->Import
that .ste file and the site def is restored.

  • Site manager in CS3 deleted all sites

I am currently working in dreamweaver cs3 for the mac on
Leopard. Today the software decided to delete all of my sites in
site manager. I don't know ow but it did. I still have several of
the sites in Dreamweaver 8. Is there a way to export the
information into the latest version? If so, please advise.
    Thank you

Site > Manage Sites. Select the first site, shift-click
    the last site to
select them all, and click Export. This creates .ste files
    that you can
then import into CS3, using the Import button in the Site
    Management
    dialog box.

  • DW CS5.5 "Put" cannot ftp but Manage Site Test can

In DW CS 5.5 Build 11.5, clicking on "Put" or "Get" generates the error message "An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to the host" but at Site>Manage Sites>Server>Test, I get "Adobe DW CS 5.5 connected to your Web server successfully". Is there more than one place in DW to configure FTP? Thank you.

After not working for a week, suddenly today DW works. "Put" and "Get" both connect. The only thing I did in the interim was successfully run Site>Manage Sites>Server>Test several times over several days. I am grateful for whatever fixed the problem, but I cannot explain it.  I thank those of you here who read and considered my question.

  • Why is Site Manager Freezing?

I am using CS5 with Windows 7.  A few weeks ago, I made a change with my ISP and need to make an adjustment in Site Manager, but I am locked out of several settings in the site setup screen.  I have deleted and reinstalled the entire suite twice.  The second time, I deleted all preferences.
Here is where the problem comes:
Site -> Manage Sites -> Edit (or New)
In Site Setup, I am unable to access any but the three buttons (Help, Save, Cancel) at the bottom of the dialogue box.  I’m happy to delete and reinstall again.  Please advise.

that DW can not connect and the following Error:
AN FTP Error occured. Cannot make a connection to host. The

I maintain and I get the same results. Is there a way to check my

  • Manage Site window is empty

    Hi!
Usually, when DW 8 start, it shows the default site files
    hierarchy.
This morning it appears display the computers drives and
    network mapping.
When clicking the menu > site > manage sites, it
appears empty, while usually had at least 5 definitions of sites.
Can any one say what happened and how to restore it?
    TIA

Then you either didn't define a site, or there was a windows
    Registry hiccup
    and it disappeared.
    You mentioned the Files Panel.
Are there Files in the DW Files Panel??
