ITunes U Support Email

I am the iTunes U admin for my university. Who can I contact to find out how to properly format an Atom feed for use on our iTunes U site? The iTunes U admin guide does not go into detail.
thanks

I have just revisited this and while I have managed to find a compromise it doesn’t look very elegant. The canvas size of the image is 3200x600 but the area available for institution logo/artwork is only 994x600 and this has to be in the centre of the canvas. Of this 200px at the bottom is reserved for the tag area.

Our banner design uses a plain white background so I end up with tons of empty white space and a rather small logo/design in the middle. It looks especially bad on the desktop version of iTunes with a widescreen monitor. I could make the design larger so it looks better on desktop iTunes but if I do that the image is cropped on iPhone/iPad  which is even worse. Whatever I do the design is compromised.
I understand the logic of trying to hit all devices with a single banner image but ultimately I think it would be much easier if we could upload a different image for desktop iTunes, iPad and iPhone. That would afford us the option to customise our banner design to fit the available screen real estate of each device.
We could completely re-design our banner, of course, so that it works better with the new banner spec but that’s a heck of a lot of work for no discernable benefit. Besides Apple may decide to change the spec again in the future and then we’d be back to square one.
btw – Syd, I think you have the same problem that I ran into. Your banner looks fine on desktop but it’s cropped on iPad (in portrait) and iPhone. To avoid this the design needs to go in the centre of the 3200x600 canvas and can be no larger than 994x600 of which 200px at the bottom is reserved for the tag area.

HowI can contact Account Security Advisor know that you contacted iTunes Store Support to let them know that I contacted iTunes Store Support by email ?

The case number that you were provided, which is linked to either your device or your contact information (like your email address), is how Apple Advisors keep track of your contact with their departments.  When they bring up either the case number or your contact information, all of that is supposed to be linked together.

  • HT1491 I'm using a prepaid credit card to make in app purchases. Every 2 days or so, I will attempt to make an in-app purchase and it will say "Unable to complete transaction at this time. Please contact iTunes Store Support."

Like I said, I often play iOS games on my iPhone 4S in my spare time. Sometimes, if the game is good enough, I will attempt to make an IAP (In-App Purchase). Sometimes, I have no trouble with this. Other times it will say: "Unable to complete transaction at this time. Please contact ITunes Store Support. I primarily use a prepaid credit card by AMEX called Bluebird. I always make sure that I have plenty of funds available in it. For instance, tonight, it has roughly $200 stored. So I try to make an IAP for $10 and it works fine. Later I make another for $15, no trouble there either. Then I try to make a purchase on the same game for $2.99 and it gives me that error message.
This has been happening on and off for the past 3-4 weeks only. Every few days it happens, I contact the iTunes Store Support, and sometime in the next 24-72 hours they get back to me. They then apologize for the inconvenience and fix the problem. But the main problem is that their fix seems to be only temporary. It happens irregardless of how much money I have available on my card. I've even had it happen when I had just redeemed a. $50 iTunes gift card and was trying to make a $5 purchase.  It doesn't seem to matter if I've spent a little bit or a lot of money that day. It doesn't care for which game I am purchasing the IAP. TThis never happened to me before a month ago. Now it won't stop. And it is incredibly frustrating that it seems to happen for no rhyme or reason out of the blue. Then I'm stuck waiting on the support staff to get back to me for the next few hours to few days, depending on the day.
Is this happening to anyone else?  Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?  Or how can I prevent it from happening in the future. The support folks at Apple are nice, but I'm tired of emailing them every other day with the same problem. I'm sure they are quite tired of getting emails from me at the same frequency. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Nick
P.S. my Internet connection is working perfectly. No technical difficulties whatsoever other than the inability to make an IAP. Also, after it gives that unable to complete transaction message, I can no longer buy anything with my apple account until tech support fixes it. Any suggestions or ideas appreciated.

Thank you Brian, but I just tried that, and it didn't work, I'm still getting the same messages.

  • Contact iTunes Store Support error when creating new apple ID

This is for a business.  We currently have a combination of over 150 ipads and iphones and will be adding another 20+ per month.
I am currently setting a quantity of ipads up for employees and preconfiguring them with their own itunes account.  In this batch, I was able to set up the first 7 with no problems.  On number 8 I keep hitting a roadblock with the message "Contact iTunes Store Support to complete this transaction". when I try to Create the Apple ID.  I have had this problem before when I hit a limit (although I don't know what that number of ID's was).
These accounts do not have a credit card associated with them.  To create them I am going through the route of being in iTunes with no user logged in.  I go to the App Store and search for iBooks.  Then try to purchase it which pops up the login/create account screen.  I go through the screens adding the email address, password, security questions on the first data page.  Then add none for payment options and add the address.  When I click Create Apple ID I get that error message in the upper right corner.
On all of these accounts I am creating them with the same security questions, address and phone number.  These devices are all based out of the same office so the address and phone numbers will be the same.  I keep the security questions the same as it would be a nightmare tracking all of the different variations for hundreds of accounts.  The only thing different between them is the username/email and the password.
It would be really nice if Apple gave a way to create apple ID's for business purposes in bulk instead of creating them one at a time.  I will be setting up 20 new ipads per month for at least the next year.

Looks like I may have found a work around solution to this problem.  It appears that there is a flag or something on the computer that is not allowing me to create more ID's on that computer.  As of this morning I was still unable to create any more ID's from that system.
I tried creating the same ID on another computer and was able to with no problems.
This does lead to a problem as I am setting up 20+ new ID's a month and typically work from one computer to do so.
I really wish that Apple provided a way for companies to create new Apple ID's in groups using a batch process instead of creating them one at a time.  Or at least allowed you to create a new Apple ID with no credit card associated during the configuration process of the ipads.

Whatever the reasons are that you think the problem exists, you will not be able to resolve it on your own. Did you see this at the bottom of the support article that I suggested that you read?

  • By mistake, I created iTunes account using email that was used in my main acc.

Hi! By mistake, I created iTunes account using email that was used in my main acc. After that, everything i have bought/downloaded and etc disappeared. What should i do?

The primary email addresses on iTunes accounts have to be unique, you shouldn't be able to create a new iTunes account with the same primary email address unless the existing account had been deleted (only iTunes Support can potentially delete an iTunes account).
Had you asked iTunes Support to delete your existing account ? If you did then that would also have deleted its purchase history. Or had you changed the primary email address on the old account ?

    Hey NON-TECHNO-WIZARD
You can do one of two things. The first is to just export out the contacts and import them into each other’s account. If something is updated the other person will not be updated with the information. Now another options is using one Apple ID for iCloud Syncing and then you can still use individual Apple ID’s for store purchases. The article below will shed some light on how you can use the Apple ID.

  • ITunes Customer Support

iTunes charged my debit card $131.00 for a purchase I did not make.  They said they would credit it back within 5-10 business days.  It has been over 2 weeks and I keep getting the run around.  I get transferred from one person to another and nobody can tell me where my money is.  Very frustrating..
Does anybody have answers?  Please Help!!
