ITunes U won't open on just one computer

Hello Everyone,
My department is in the process of getting iTunes U up and running for our college. So far we have been successful in creating our credentials. However, I am encountering a situation that has left me puzzled. When I go to our schools' webpage, use my NetID and password to login to our iTunes U, my internet browser (Firefox) loads and launches iTunes as it's supposed to, but just goes to the store's main page.
When I go through this process on any other computer (also running XP) it actually opens our schools iTunes U page. I am able to access our iTunes U site on every computer on campus except the one in my office (the one I need of course). I uninstalled and reinstalled the most current version of iTunes, version 8.1.1.10, but to no avail. Is there a simple setting I need to check? Why won't it go to our iTunes U site on just this one computer?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I would first try closing all apps and resetting your iPad to see if that helps:

If you try this and it is still not working, please reply with any additional information such as exact error messages or strange behavior specifics you're seeing

Hi Guys:-
If this SAME problems is effecting us all then suspect its not IPS problem as we all get problem at 995.6MB.
I would think that there is some kind of software conflict. If we all having this problem just think of how many users have the same but are not on this discussion board, bet you its 100s and 100s.
Not possible for me to visit store now but will monitor your responce's.
Good luck guys, lets make um give us a fix:- I will call them tomorrow and see what they say:- should point support to this Discussion page and they can answer us !

My iTunes Store won't open. When it is clicked, it just flashes back to the home screen. I restarted it and turned it off and back on, but nothing helped. This all started after I upgraded to iOS 7.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

When i double click itunes it doesn't open it just comes up with an error saying " The itunes library.itl file cannot be found or created. The default location for this file is in the 'itunes' folder in the 'music' folder". How can i fix this?

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

Shouldn't be having a problem, then. That's the version for ML. Try taking your question to the Safari forum - https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/safari - that's where all the Safari experts hang out.

If it is the third party apps crashing - try downloading another app - any free app is fine. See if that resets the other apps.

I had the same thing yesterday. After google gave me nothing and after I was sure my phone had enough charge to restart, I did a reset on my phone...
Holding down the Power button, volume button and selector button on the front - for about 30 secs (or untill I knew the beeping had stopped).
I cant remember if I then restarted it or it it restarted itself, but now its back to normal! No memory loss from the phone either.
Freeked me out as its a new iphone 4s but glad to have it back! Without having to take it to get fixed by a pro.

Then you have two version of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.x is in your Applications folder.
Pages '08/'09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.

Adobe Reader XI won't open more than one PDF

The latest Adobe Reader (11.0.02) won't open more than one PDF at a time. Seems to require continual re-install for each open. And each time I install, it says the application is already present on my machine, yet I cannot find it anywhere. Any suggestions out there?

Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications. I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.
