Itunes update 10 for windows issues
I recently installed the new itunes update "10" on july 3rd. My ipod(classic) and itunes were working perfectly fine BEFORE the update, since then my pc keeps crashing every time I try to sync the ipod or attempt to dock the ipod. Itunes freezes and then the crash. I even tried operating it in safe mode but to no avail. Any suggestions?
Hi My outlook is still listed as there, so this solution is not working for me, any other ideas. I tried not syncing the calendar part and then, I deleted the calendars from the phone and tried to replace them with new a new calendar - now I have nothing!!
Any other ideas? I am running Windows 7 Home 64 bit, Office 2010 with Outlook and Itunes version 10.4.10

How do I manually transfer music with the new itunes update for Windows? I don't want to sync my library and lose all of my music for what I have in my current library.
The same way it was done in every previous version.
Connect the device to the computer.
Right click on the device in iTunes and select Transfer Purchases.
Why would you lose any content by syncing with iTunes?
Is this not the computer that the device is normally synced with? -
ITunes Update for Windows Vista 64 bit
Does anybody know when this is going to be released. I got an iPhone and can't sync it with the latest version of Windows Vista. The friendly staff at AT&T forgot to tell me that I would not be able to use my iPhone until iTunes came out with an update for Windows Vista.
Thank You.The below post should answer your question

Why is it that Apple is failing to get it right lately with their updates?
Tried to install latest iTunes for Windows update on my PC Win 7 and it fails again wioth same error messages as with the previous update in Febr.
Sooo very disappointed!!!!!
To go thru all this again is taking me a few hours again to fix this problem assuming it works again this time, maybe I should just give up on iTunes instead.

Itunes update for windows 8.1
After updating to iTunes 12.1 for windows 8.1 iTunes stopped working first it said that mediatoolbox.dll file was missing and that I need to uninstall iTunes and reinstall. I tried that but now it is telling me that iTunes was not installed correctly and I should reinstall iTunes. I tried that a few times but I got the same result. I am at wits end over this. Can anyone help please.
Regarding AMDS failures there is a hint in another thread that disabling the Windows Firewall before attempting to reinstall may help, otherwise take a look at the steps outlined in this post. Re: Can't install iTunes 12.1 on Windows 7 64-bit. I know they look a little daunting, but the process of generating the logs themselves isn't that hard to do. Extracting useful information from them is still a challenge but maybe something will leap out. If you want to post the log for the failed component for me to have a look at here or in the other thread please edit out any personal information, particularly your email address, first.

Are iTunes updates for windows 7save now?
The last update brought the MSCVR80.dll problem. Has Apple resolved this problem?
As far as I am aware the reason that some users have difficulty with the iTunes 11.1.4 update has yet to be fully understood. The following steps will resolve it. I would expect the next release to go much more smoothly...
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Will the New iTunes 11 for Windows work on Windows 98???
Will the New iTunes 11 for Windows work on Windows 98???
A. True.
B. False. My opinion is no. Apple has no plans updating version 11 to meet the needs of Windows 98 being that #1 - Windows is pushing forward with their Windows 8 operating system launching in a week and iTunes 11 would have needed to be re-written from scratch to accomodate the Windows 7 and Windows 8 systems. It is a known issue that iTunes is bloated and most Windows users will use other media players to manage their music rather than iTunes. #2, Windows 98 is so old that even Windows does not recommend anyone using anything past XP as you are exposing your PC to viruses or anything that no longer can be patched. I highly recommend upgrading to atleast to Windows 7 and this is of course if your PC matches the bare minimum of hardware to use iTunes 10.7 and 11. You are actually doing more harm than good by using an outdated OS.

Upgrade to I-Tunes 7.4.2 with Apple Software Update for Windows
I upgraded to I-Tunes 7.4.2 and that went great. But I was also offered an Apple Software Update for Windows which would not install. The error message said something about a part of it not being able to run. Is this a Vista thing? I still have Windows XP and don't plan to change to Vista. Will I have issues with newer versions of I-Tunes if I can't get this Software Update for Windows to install?
Thanks! Thanks for the replies, but what I am hoping for is a solution.
Even though I asked, you never said if you have an ASU 2.0.0.21 ... so this solution runs the risk of being irrelevant to your situation. (It applies to the issue of ASU 2.0.0.21 on an XP PC returning an "invalid signature" message when trying to download an ASU 2.1.0.101.)
If that's what you've got here, then usually a software installer bundle from Apple which contains a higher version of ASU than the 2.0.0.21 will install on the PC in question.
(Avoid using the BonJour for Windows 1.0.4 standalone installer just at the moment, as a precaution. Last time I checked, about 20 minutes ago, that still contained an ASU 2.0.0.21, and that won't get you any further forward than you currently are ... assuming that you've currently got an ASU 2.0.0.21 in place.)
So download and install another Apple installer bundle. Here's a link through to the QuickTime Standalone installer, although the Safari for Windows or iTunes installer would also work:
Latest Quicktime Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention iTunes
That should, as part of the install, update your ASU to version 2.1.0.101. To check on that, launch ASU ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"), go "Help > About Apple Software Update" and check the version number. If you're now at ASU 2.1.0.101, you're past the problem with ASU 2.0.0.21 returning an 'Invalid signature" message when trying to install an ASU 2.1.0.101 (assuming that's the particular problem you were actually experiencing).
You can then uninstall QuickTime for Windows (or Safari for Windows, or iTunes and QuickTime and Apple Mobile Device Support, depending on what installer you used to update your ASU version) through your Add/Remove programs control panel. -

Apple software update for windows box that pops up changed to diff.language
Hey, Everyone. The little window that pops up for "apple software update for windows" and lets me know when I have an update for itunes, quicktime, etc. has changed languages. Now it shows up in Spanish. My itunes, quicktime, etc. are all in English, as well as my OS (Win XP,SP3) so I don't know how that one application could have changed. Luckily I can understand Spanish but just wondering if there's a way to change it back.
Thanks!Hi Troy,
I had the same issue as you. All of a sudden the Software Update window was in swedish. After uninstalling and reinstalling ASU a few times I realised there was no need for it at all. All you have to do is go to Control Panel, Clock Language and Region, Regional and Language Options, Administrative, and then Change System Locale. I changed mine back to English (United States), restarted and voila, it was fixed! I hope this works for you too.
EDIT: Just noticed you are running XP. I am on Vista but it shouldn't be too different I suppose.

"Apple Software Update for Windows" has an invalid signature.
Hi. Iam trying to update from iTunes 7.3.2.6 to iTunes 7.6.2 but always get this message: "Apple Software Update for Windows" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed. Can anybody help me wth this?
always get this message: "Apple Software Update for Windows" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.
There is a problem on some XP machines where Apple Software Update for Windows version 2.0.0.21 will always return an invalid signature message when trying to update to ASU 2.1.0.110. Since it tries to do that prior to updating other software, the update of the other software is blocked. (To check what version of ASU you have, launch ASU by going "Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update", and then in ASU go "Help > About Apple Software Update".)
The way around that issue (if that's what you've got) is to update itunes using the link to the iTunes installer that Jefe gave you in his/her post. That iTunes installer will also update your ASU to at least ASU version 2.0.2.92 which should then be able to successfully update itself to ASU 2.1.0.110 next time you run ASU. -

Microsoft has just pushed out Windows Phone 8.1.1 for those participating in the Preview Developer Program.

This bit is interesting from the Windows Phone Blog in regards to this update.
Remember, while we are releasing Lumia Cyan for a large number of phones, there still may be some of you that are not offered the Cyan update, yet. However, as explained in the blog, we’ll continue to add more Lumia devices every couple of days over the coming weeks until we bring everyone up to the latest.
