Nach dem Update auf Itunes Version 11.1.4 stürzt iTunes ab.
Es erscheint eine Fehlermeldung:
Bei der anschließenden Neuinstallation erscheint der Fehler:
Und beim Start erscheint der Fehler:
Auch nach mehreren Installatiosversuchen bekomme ich das Programm unter Windows XP (SP3) nicht mehr zum laufen!!
Wie kann ich den Fehler beseitigen???

    Hallo, habe heute völlig unbedarft das neueste iTunes Update auf meinen Windowsrechner geladen da ich damit bisher nie Probleme hatte. Nur waren beim öffnen von iTunes alle Daten weg! Ich konnte nur die Apps und Lieder die ich über Itunes Store gekauft habe wieder laden. Nur wo sind meine von CD oder Amazon auf Itunes überspielten Lieder?? Wo sind meine Filme?? Ich möchte ja nicht alle Lieder aus iTunes auf dem Ipod. Was passiert, wenn ich meinen IPod, Ipad und mein Iphone ans Laptop anschliesse? Was synchronisiert der mir dann? Wie bekomme ich iTunes wieder in den Zustand wie vor dem update??? Ich hoffe es kann mir jemand helfen.

    Habe dasselbe Problem. Nach Update iTunes und Installation von iCloud friert iTunes bei der Anmeldung ein, lässt sich manchmal gar nicht aufrufen oder bleibt mitten in der Anwendung hängen. De- und Neuinstallation helfen nicht. Selbst im abgesicherten Modus stürzt iTunes ab. Apple hilft ja leider nicht gern. Support dauert 72 Stunden oder man bezahlt. Gibt es Hilfe?

  • The Apple Software Update did it again! Or how difficult is an iTunes update

    Ok a new iTunes update is out and Apple messed it up again.
    I tried on the following System – Windows 7 64 Bit, non-administrative user, with UAC – the iTunes and QuickTime Update. Both failed with the following error (sorry in German on this)
    “Produkt: iTunes -- Fehler 1303. Die Rechte von Installer reichen nicht aus, um auf diesen Ordner zuzugreifen: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes. Die Installation kann nicht fortgesetzt werden. Melden Sie sich als Administrator an oder wenden Sie sich an den Systemadministrator“
    What to do? QuickTime and iTunes folder are no longer accessible, owner unknown, ownership could not be seized. So it is unclear if everything was deleted or only messed up. Reboot and yes after starting the installation manually again, it successful installs QuickTime and iTunes.
    But guys the question is, when you need a reboot under some circumstances, just do it.
    The other question, why did you mess up the target folders so badly, that you cannot use them for installation? Many other software makers proof that an update could be done.
    Could Apple please fix this strange behavior? I my eyes this update process is not for increase customer satisfaction. Even if iTunes is for free, I think you earn a lot of money with it.

    Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?
    Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
    Next try DFU mode.

    You can also try another computer  to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.

    If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below.  Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

  • TS1372 After the latest iTunes update iTunes no longer sees either of my ipods.  Diagnostics says no ipod connected.  However my laptop, which is running Window 8.1 does see the ipod.

    After the latest iTunes update neither of my iPods are recognized by iTunes, so I am unable to sync.  When I run diagnostics it says no device connected.  My laptop sees my iPod so I know it is connected.  I have tried all of the recommended iTunes fixes and none work.  I tried deleting and reinstalling both an older version and the newest version.  The older version would not reconize my music libray.  Any thouhts?

    Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

  • With Windows Vista, the most recent Itunes update 1/30/2014 has caused Itunes not to work, with a Mscvr80.dll not found error. Uninstalled all Apple programs, and installed fresh Itunes. Same problem. Tried to reinstall using an older install exe nogo

    Recent ITunes update has caused ITunes not to work. Tried uninstalling all Apple products and reinstalling fresh. Still doesn't work. Tried reinstalling from an old install.exe. Install went nicely but program won't start as it says it can't open the library file.

    Now that I have no way of accessing any of the products I have purchased from ITunes, I will most certainly never use ITunes again for any reason. Why throw good money after bad?  I will use another MP3 player that is not as cumbersome or proprietary.
    Lesson learned.

    Installed latest itunes update and computer tried to burn a playlist to CD and realized computer no longer recognizes my CD/DVD drive. After doing some data mining, found out from community this is an long standing APPLE problem- which doesn't get much tech support in terms of fixes. I have an HPPavillion DV6 64 bit, Windows 7 OS . After reading an earlier complaint from 2009 in the support community,  I ran diagnostics from ITunes which gave the following result. Can someone please help? (I'm not enough of a techie to know what I'm doing or how to locate /reinstall CD drivers. I am searching for driver disc but cannot locate.)

    Doublechecking ... did you have CD/DVD drive tests checked when you ran those diagnostics? (I'm not seeing the CD/DVD test results down the bottom of the results where I'd expect to see them.)

  • I have been having a lot of trouble with the latest itunes update and my ipod classic 80Gb i.e. being unable to sync songs, but now i have no files at all on my ipod, it is completely blank when i view it from my computer. I need help, please, anybody.

    As it says above, i have been having a lot f trouble with my ipod classic and the latest itunes update, i was unable to sync songs or anything to it and have tried every conceivable 'fix' i could find. i have run an itunes diagnostic and the results are posted below. a major problem is that when i try and view my ipod through my computer it displays nothing at all on the ipod, no files or anything, this may be the problem but i have no idea how it has happened or how i could resolve it.
    This ipod holds huge sentimental value and i am loathe to buy a new one! If anybody can help it is greatly appreciated, than kyou in advanced.

    Here is what worked for me:
      My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

  • Receipt in recent iTunes update

    My work recently issued me an iPod touch (the only reason I have an Apple product) and I purchased an app for work. I need a receipt to be reimbursed. I made the purchase over 72 hours ago and have not recited an email, and yes, I checked my junk mail. The instructions in the Support Community require iTunes (why I need another program to manage my purchases I don't get) but the instructions don't apply to the recent iTunes update. Does anyone know how to get a receipt with the new iTunes update? Please help.

    You should have an emailed receipt to the primary email address that is on the iTunes account. If that is the email account that you are checking and the email isn't there then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will send a copy (which is probably unlikely) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
    Or would a screenshot of your purchase history be sufficient ? If it is then you can see the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com, or there is a better version of your purchase history viewable via a computer's iTunes : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store.

  • Computer slow and not responding since installation of new iTunes update

    Good Morning,
    I downloaded the new iTunes update two days ago.  As soon as I did it my computer was freezing up and none of my programs would respond.  I uninstalled it as my computer was working fine.  I did the update again and the same thing happened.  So this time I uninstalled iTunes only, not Quick Time and my computer is fine.  Is there anyway I can get a link to download the previous version?  I can not do a system restore because my compute does not have one for some reason.  I have tried that.
    Also my computer's CPU usage runs normally at anywhere from 4% to 12%, both times after I did the update, it was running at 100% all the time.  I could not shut it off or close any programs.
    Does anybody have any ideas?

    Many thanks Matt - when I spoke to my son last night he did say the anti-virus programme might be the cause, so he told me how to re-install the old Thunderbird version which worked, and to tick the option which says 'allow me to choose whether to install new versions'. So far so good! Very grateful for your help - thanks.

  • 13.3 Macbook Pro Retina Keeps rebooting after recent iTune updates

    This morning after I installed the new iTune updates (11.2.?), the macbook pro just flashed with some color stripes and then screen went black. I need to long hold reboot key to turn it off and turn it back on.
    My iPhone was connecting with the Macbook during the update. I am not sure if this is connected to the issue. I unplugged iPhone and rebooted the Macbook. But right after I log in, the color stripe things came again and the macbook went dead. Now it is stuck in this status. I think I need to bring it to the apple store and have the "genius" guys fix it

    You need iTunes 10.0 or greater to update your phone...iTunes isn't confused at all. If you're on a Mac, you'll need OS X 10.5.8 or greater to update iTunes to 10.0 or greater.

  • ITunes Updates Keeps Modifying the Library

    The last two iTunes updates I have allowed to run (9.1x and today, version 10) have mangled my library. The 9.1x download wiped about 2 hours of user-input cover art. The Apple cover art function is awful, to be kind. When I spend hours updating the holes and mistakes it leaves behind, I don't appreciate the next version wiping it out during the update.
    I reluctant;y put in Version 10 today. Immediately afterward, I opened my library to find that not only did this version randomly delete my cover art AGAIN, it also randomly separated my albums into multiple entries. Now I get to spend 2 to 3 hours scouring my library for the missing and wrongly assigned cover art, I also have to knit entries back into single albums.
    Who does your software QA? If I put the cover art in manually, LEAVE IT. Don't rearrange my library entries. Don't break up albums into multiple new albums. Next time you feel the need to make an iTunes upgrade, think Hippocratic, and first do no harm. AND GIVE ME A BLOCK ALL UPGRADES OPTION. I really don't need your help any more.

    I used to get the scanner/ camera wizard popup when first plugging in my ipod. However, after latest iTunes update, I do not get it anymore. Can anyone tell me where I can find it?
    My ipod shows up fine in the itunes window. It does NOT show up at all on the list of drives in My Computer (even after going through drive manager).

    Start here:

    I would first remove and reinstall all the Apple software by:
    Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    The drivers in windows that sees the iPod as a camera is different that the drivers that see the iPod in iTunes.
