Itunes user accounts help!

I think I am about to have a heart attack.
In order to resolve our issues with my iphone stuff going onto my partner's ipad, I did what the Apple website said and held down the shift button while opening itunes in order to create him his own itunes account as we only have ONE desktop to use for our house.
I created his account and then we ended up having to go to the apple store anyways to get advice, but now we are home and I want to access MY itunes account in my desktop that i have been using for years and it's not there.
Holding shift down while opening itunes brings up a dialogue box which states i can quit, open an account or create an account.
HOW do I get my itunes back?
I had playlists, equalizer setting and loudness settings for over 30,000 song files, not to mention my movies, books, apps.
If I don't hold shift down when opening itunes, it just opens my partners itunes which has nothing in it but a few ipad apps.
Can anyone help me out please, I feel like my head is going to explode.

I meant new itunes library and realize I might have confused many with my post.
I am able to open my library now, but not my partner's itunes library. I know it is there becuase if i click to "create new library", it is listed there, but I do not have the option when I click "choose library".
So now I am still confused, not panicking as I can find my stuff (30,000+ songs files).
Are you able to help with that one?

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

ITunes & User Account Control In Windows 7 64 Bit

I have an iPod Touch 5G, and a PC running Windows 7 64 bit. The latest Windows 64 bit iTunes with the latest update that was released a few days ago is installed. When the PC starts, a warning screen appears asking if I want to allow iTunes to run. This is the iTunes Helper app that wants to open first and stay resident so that if I plug in my iPod Touch it will be recognized and open iTunes as designed.
Yes, on the summary pane in iTunes, the “Open iTunes when this iPod is attached” option is checked and so is the option for connecting via wireless.
The only way to prevent this is to turn off User Account Control for the entire PC which of course should not be necessary if iTunes was working as designed with the proper certificates installed.
I have removed iTunes, Bonjour and the two other Apple apps that appear in Control Panel >Programs, then re-installed the iTunes Win7 64 bit file as administrator.
It's installed as the administrator and the only user on the PC, hence by default I am the administrator. I have also clicked on Properties for iTunes, Run as Administrator, but the UAC warning screen will still appear every single time I boot the PC.
How do I get iTunes to be properly recognized so that Windows doesn’t detect it as a rouge program trying to gain access that it’s not entitled to.
Furthermore, this also prevents me from drag & dropping songs from Explorer to iTunes. The only way I can drag & drop songs from Explorer to iTunes is to turn UAC off completely.This is a feature that is explained in the instructions as a means of linking songs from your Explorer folders so they reflect in iTunes.
This appears to have been an issue since 2010 as others have experienced it also, so hopefully by now the procedure for resolving it must have surfaced.

In recent times, the error-message-free iTunes and QuickTime launch failures have been indicating that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

How do you transfer songs to second iTunes user account; same computer

How do I transfer songs from one user account to another user account on the same computer?
I've given my son his own account on our second computer. Prior to this, he shared his sister's iTunes account, using a playlist to populate his ipod. Now that he has his own account, he wants to transfer his music to his own account. Is it possible to do this quickly? I've been able to copy some actual song files from the first iTunes library and physically move them to the new account using a flash drive, but this is cumbersome. Any better options? Thanks.

It would be the folder you have selected as your Library folder. Usually Mac HD/Users/[User]/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media

Select Mac HD/Users/Shared/Music - CREATE IT if need be
Move your iTunes folder to the new Music folder. You'll probably have to "re import" the Library in iTunes. (Clear the old library first)
But ionce it;s in the Shared Music folder, EVERY account on the comp can access those files for their own library (whichever songs THEY want) and you onle need ONE copy of everything.
Each user can only access or modify THEIR OWN library while logged on so it prevents someone erasing another's library, because the iTunes Library file is in a locked folder when others are logged in.

Safari 4 Crashes At Start-Up - Works When I Switch User Accounts - Help!

Safari 4 Crashes At Start-Up - However Safari Works When I Switch User Accounts to a minimalistic non-admin acct with zero log-in items. I'm not sure how to best troubleshoot this. My log in items are minimal- LaunchBar, Google Desktop, CopyPaste Pro - that's about it. I tried deleting some various prefs and plists but don't know how to approach it.

Safari 4 is up and running now. I deleted the Sogundi and it started to open but froze... so I deleted all of the files in that folder and ait still froze (not just hanging but froze) then I delelted the Safari.com plist in Library/Pref's and that seemed to work - it doesn't feel totally stable but I'll keep using it and let you know if the problem is totally solved...thank you!... I'm totally impressed that I actually got a help response from Apple - I'm astounded actually - this is the first time I"ve posted a question to the Apple forum and really appreciate the fast response!! Wow I really love Apple now.... can't image Windoze users getting this kind of help.

"This Apple ID isn't Associated with an iTunes Connect Account" Help?

Hi there,
I've been trying to publish a book I've created on iBooks Author to the iBooks Store but I'm having a bit of trouble with iTunes Connect.
I've set it up and signed the contracts and I can access the dashboard on a web browser with my Apple ID however, when I try to log into it from the Publish wizard on iBooks Author it keeps coming up with an alert message saying that "this Apple ID isn't associated with an iTunes Connect account", even though... well... it is.
I was wondering if it was a possibility I might have missed something along the way to connecting my Apple ID to the iTunes Connect? I don't know what to do.
I really want to get my books onto the iBooks Store as soon as I can - I've tried going through publishers like Smashwords and BookBaby but I've not had much luck with them.... I would prefer to go direct through retailers like Apple and Barnes and Noble.

You can sign in to your BlackBerry ID by visiting www.bbid.com . From there you should be able to associate a new device to your BB ID.

Right now alot of us who have itunes accounts can't do anything in the store... as we are getting a 5002 error... I'd wait until that thread says people can download and do things again... May very likely be related!

User accounts (help for a School)

Need to create user accounts for 15 teachers on a single machine is it possible to dupplicate the accounts and just change there name instead of going through the process of selecting all

Yes it is possible to do that, but it is so labour intensive it would be quicker just to create 15 new accounts.
Here is the Apple document for changing short names which you could adapt if you wanted to replicate names.

I was given an iTouch with a music library loaded for me under another iTunes user account and need to know how to add it to my library/iTunes user account.

I receiced an iPad Touch for my birthday (before I had an iTunes account) and my friend loaded it with the music we both like. Since it was loaded with his iTunes account; I cannot sync it to my music library. I would like help to see if there's a way to do move this music to my iTunes music library. Please note that none of the music on the iTouch was purchased; the music came from his private library of music that has been in his collection for years, all live concerts, etc. I do respect the whole thing about protecting artists, for what it is worth the music is all live Grateful Dead concerts; the Grateful Dead allowed taping so there are no copyright issues here.

The short answer is have your friend burn those tracks to CDs and then import them into your iTunes library.
For lllaass: Its obvious you have never been to a Dead show, so we'll cut you some slack. The tracks in question were never purchased, they were taped live during the show. The Greatful Dead has always reserved "front row center" for a group affectionately called "tapers," because they always came prepared to record each show, and owing to the fact that no two shows were the same, some of those tapes are one of a kind..... I have taped shows myself, namely the shows at RFK Stadium in DC, and the Coliseum in Charlotte NC.

ITunes User Account

I am new to using the iphone and have created an itunes account, when i got to the itunes store from my iphone it says to enter my account name and password, i entered the required information then it came up with an error message saying incorrect password, i know the information is correct, so i'm wondering where i need to go to reset all of my details so i can access the store via my iphone. any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Discussions Boards.
If you are presented with a sign in window on the iPhone that lacks the iTunes ID, the ID has not synced over to your iPhone from iTunes.
If simply syncing with iTunes while you are logged into the iTunes Store on the computer does not sync your iTunes ID to the iPhone try the following:
On your computer, download the Free Single of the Week from the iTunes Store.
You may be presented with a new iTunes Store Terms and Conditions page -- choose "agree."
Make sure that free song is set to sync to the iPhone in the Music tab for your iPhone.
Sync the Free Single to the iPhone.
This should put a fresh copy of your iTunes ID onto the iPhone.
Beyond that, you can try Deauthorizing and Reauthorizing your computer:

can anyone help me?? I have discovered that my album is selling on iTunes. It might have got there through a third party website. I need to find out what my account details are so as to make sure any royalties come to me and do not get lost.
Can anyone tell me who to contact, or how to log in somehow to confirm all my account details??

You can't delete the account per se - it's needed to maintain your ability to play any songs you have bought - but you can delete your credit card information.
Have a look at the section How do I delete my credit card number? on this Support page .

Could be many things, but it's best to start with these two steps, which may fix it also...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Tiger Mac OS X Install disc , then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, *you must select your language first.)*
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.

Syncing my ipod to other itune user accounts

I'm wondering, how can I get music from another itunes account without collecting all of that persons music and without losing all of mine?

You'd have manage content manually on your iPod to do this. This would mean that you would have to drag and drop all of your music/video to your iPod instead of it automatically syncing. See this article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61148

Duplicate user accounts - Help

Is there anyone at Adobe who can help me get rid of the duplicate accounts I apparently have? Whenever I reply to something in any of the forums that I participate in my username gets this gibberish tag added to the end of it, and indicates that I have only made one or two posts. Someone indicated that I must have duplicate accounts, but I cannot figure out any way to get rid of them.
