Itunes v7.02 doesn't open after I have tried many solutions

Okay. So before I start I have a windows XP PC. With that through, about three months ago when iTunes 7 came out I tried to download and install it. Unfortunately when I tried to run itunes 7, it didn't work. Here are some of the stuff I tried then and observed:
1.)tried to open itunes 7 from finding its exe icon in the programs folder in "My Computer". Didn't work.
2.)Tried opening an Mp3 file with itunes 7. Didn't work.
3.)tried restarting my comp many times. Didn't work many times.
4.) I opened my task manager, opened the "processes" tab, and then opened itunes 7 to see if it showed up. Itunes 7 did show up for a second, then vanished. I tried this many times to see what was going on. The same thing everytime. So at that point I guessed that itunes 7 just took too much RAM to run. But that's not the case anymore. A friend of mine who has a slower computer with less RAM than me could run itunes 7 flawlessly.
5.) I gave up amd have been running itunes 6 until yesterday.
So yesterday I went to this forum and tried some of the solutions it offered:
1.) I tried the MSCONFIG coption on the page:

and I uninstalled itunes 7 and quicktime and then reinstalled it. Didn't work, even after restarting my comp.
2.) Then I tried this method:

Didn't work either.
3.) I don't run Norton 2005 on my comp. But I do run Sophos Anti-Virus...which is a ******** program on my computer because I can't open the interface for the program b/c I don't have enough "privilages" and not part of the Sophos Antivirus Admin group. So if anyone has any info on Sophos or how to disable such programs. Please respond!
So these are about the things I've tried to get itunes 7 to work. So plz, someone help me. I've about given up.

Help is here diloglm! Let's get that connection up and running. Has the phone been able to connect to other wi-fi networks? Can any other devices connect to wi-fi you're trying to connect to right now? Have you tested the router to make sure it's working with other devices? Also, reply including the software version, located in Settings>General>about.

Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
    * Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
minimum system requirements
    * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
    * DVD drive for installation
    * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
Classic/OS9 Apps no longer supported.
Trouble is Apple no longer sells it, check eBay & such for the Retail version, not the Gray Discs...

ITunes starts but doesn't open

After upgrade to iTunes v7.7, whenever I start the program I see the library-loading progress bar, but then the iTunes window itself doesn't open; however, according to the Windows Task Manager, itunes.exe is nevertheless running. No error message of any kind is displayed at any point.
How can I get the blessed thing to show itself?

ITunes new version doesn't open at all. Gives error message

I downloaded 7.4.3 version of iTunes and it doesn't open at all. Gives error message. "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close."
I have previous version of iTunes in my spare HD, in the same computer, and it works perfectly fine.
I have unistalled and re-installed again and again many times including with the help of Apple Support help in the phone and came up with no clues of what's going on.
How can I get a previous version of iTunes to download to my PC? I have looking for a place on Apple's website where I could probably have my issue resolved, but I found nothing.

Install the v10.6.6 combo update available here. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.6. The combo includes fixes that were not included in the original update.

Restart your Mac and try the MAS again.
You can download apps directly from the MAS once you have it running.
Considering the TM backup took so long, make sure there's enough space on your Mac startup disk.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.*

Then restart your Mac.
If that doesn't help, you may have a third party add on that was compatible with the prior version of Snow Leopard, but not 10.6.8.

And try Safari in another user account. If you can't open Safari there as well, that's an indication the startup disk may need repairing.
Log back in to your admin account, launch Disk Utility. That's located in /Applications/Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)

Open Finder. Go to the "Go" menu in the menu bar. Press and hold Control and click on Library. Go to "Preferences". Find a file named, "com.apple.iTunes.plist" and delete that file. This won't delete your iTunes content. It will reset iTunes. Try it again.

Please i need some help, my encyclopedia off-line app in spanish doesn't open after the iOS 5 update. I mean it opens, but after a second it shuts off. All other app work perfect, an i have tried everything, restart my ipod, restart the app, eliminate the app and downloaded again, download other apps, and nothing seems to work. Did you do a restart or a reset?
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)
If that didn't help, you have to write to/wait for the developer to update the software.

ITunes 11.1 will not open after downloading.

iTunes 11.1 will not open after downloading; iTunes64.msi is "missing". I can't uninstall the present iTunes version (11.0.5.5). Any ideas? Please?

This is what I did to fix it. I am running Win7 so I don't know if it will work on Win 8 or not.
1-Uninstalled QuickTime
2-Uninstalled Apple Mobile Device Manager
3-Uninstalled Apple Software Update Manager
4-Uninstalled iTunes
5-Uninstalled iCloud
6-Uninstalled any left over Apple software
7-Restarted Computer
8-Installed iTunes
9-Restarted Computer
I did not install iCloud. I was able to authorize my PC and Sync did work.

After updating itunes to the latest version it will now not open. I have tried reinstalling the programme, rebooting and all other suggestions, to no avail. this not the first time I have had issues with itunes. Frankly I find it completely unacceptable .

This not the first time I have had frustrating problems with the Apple system. Perhaps someone could suggest a more reliable system to switch to. Someone with a better troubleshooting system.

Going all the way back to Firefox 3.0.5 is shear foolishness, it is 14 security versions behind the last 3.0.19 release. And that version is missing at least a dozen security updates that were applied to the 3.5 and 3.6 versions after support for 3.0.x ended.
If you are not happy with Firefox 4, you should have installed Firefox 3.6.17. That is very similar to the 3.0 and has all the security fixes that have been released since support for Firefox 3.0.x ended last year.
