ITunes Video Conversion with No Sound.

I converted a bunch of my WMA, MPEG and AVI music video files using the new iTunes conversion software but it's extremely slow and has no audio. Anybody know why?

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

Video Conversations with PC

I found similar questions, but I still am not clear on this topic. How can an iMac have a video conversation with people using PC's?? (Without having to pay for AOL on their side {AIM}, or having to sign up with AOL or Javver on my side).

Hi,
AIM is actually free to use for both Mac and Windows PC.
(There's no need to sign up for the AOL service). You can register for an AIM screen name on this page. Once you have registered, ignore it when it asks you do download the AIM client. Instead, configure iChat with your new screen name.
As an alernative to iChat, you could use Skype, which is a free download for Mac and PC.
Both programs have their ins and outs. I would suggest trying both to see which one works best. I hope this helps!

ITunes iPod converter, converts video clips with no sound HELP !!!

i recently converted music videos and movies on iTunes and when converted, no sound on the converted file, i converted it on another program that is designed for iPod, the iPod cannot play this video because...and its ment for iPod !!
the only videos that go in my iPod now are with no audio.
how do i fix this
please help my flight is in less than 24 hours and this problem occurs !!!!!

this is because the video you converted is muxed which means the audio and video are on the same track, quicktime or iTune can not deal with this kind of videos, you will need another 3rd party tool to help you, try videora or streamclip, both of them are free.

Video playing with no sound in iTunes, playing with sound on iPod

When I try to watch my videos on iTunes the video plays but the sound does not, it even happens on videos that I bought from the music store. The sound for my songs works just fine, just not for video. They work when I play it them on my iPod, too. Any ideas?

Slow video playback with 2 sound tracks

Hi,
I've just been playing around with quicktime files with 2 sound tracks with different languages. When I copy these files to the ipod they playback, but in slow motion. Are there any guidelines for making ipod compatible 2 sound track files?
I know there are movies in the itunes store with two sound tracks with different languages and these are supposed to work OK with the ipod nano.

Your source video file is probably muxed.
Neither QT Pro or iTunes has the ability to successfully encode a muxed video file with audio. You'll end up with video and no audio.

Videos play with no sound!!!!

All the videos that I have in itunes play with no sound. the picture is fine, Just no sound! This seems to be the way it is for videos that I have imported, and videos that I have purchased from the music store.

Do the exact opposite, uncheck the box. When I unchecked it, the sound problems disappeared, I can hear everything, the voices sync up with the video again, and it seems to work.
We'll see how long this lasts...

Itunes Videos freezing with windows 7!

I just got a brand new dell studio last week; i installed itunes 9 with the 64bit and for the first few days it worked just fine and now I will be watching a movie on itunes and my computer will freeze and go black, requiring me to do a manual shut down because i can no longer move my cursor or click anything. I've heard other problems with windows 7 and itunes. When i insert a regular DVD into windows media it works just fine. So far my computer only freezes with my itunes videos but who knows next week it could be my music too!

I had the same issue for windows 7. Right click on the iTunes setup file and run as administrator, it works.

Video Conversion with current version of VLC

Hello World.
So far I have found some tutorials about converting videos to the iPod nano (4th generation).
All of them were for old versions of the VLC media player.
As there have been major changes in the last VLC releases I was not able to transfer the "old" tutorial steps into the new VLC player.
Does anybody know how video conversion is done with the current VLC version?

Have you looked on VLC's Wiki page for any such tutorials?
If nothing else, I would try using another converter such as [MPEG Streamclip|http://www.squared5.com> or [Handbrake|http://handbrake.fr>. They are fairly easy to use and usually produce wonderful results.

I have several videos of my family I have taken with my Sony digital camera (with sound) I would like to load on my ipod video.

A video I purchased through itunes is playing with delayed sound (audio and visual is not in sync) - very fustrating to watch!

Recently purchased a brand new computer (windows 8 - with more than the minimum requirements to run itunes) and transferred my itunes library over. After transferring everything i then purchased a new release video through the itunes store and it downloaded without any problems. When I went to view the movie in itunes, it started fine but within a few seconds the sound and picture were out of sync. I paused the video for a few seconds and then when i resumed play it was back in sync but only took a fw seconds for it to all fall out of sync again - very fustrating!
The movie plays fine on my iphone...
Is there anyway of fixing this?
If not i will never be purchasing another movie through itunes!

QuickTime, and any app that uses it, can't extract audio from muxed file formats (MPEG 1 and 2 and Flash).
Use MPEG Streamclip (free) to convert your MPEG-1 file.

ITunes Video Conversion

I just downloaded some mpg videos. I converted these to mov in quicktime which is said to be compatible with 3G ipods. I added the mov files into my iTunes library but they wont transfer when I sync my iPod. I've right-clicked them and converted them to ipod/iphone but then there's no sound. I've tried YASA mp4 converter but then all i get is sound. Is there just some way i can transfer my fully working mov files via disk mode or something?

Try using MPEG Streamclip to convert the videos; content that is normally synced from iTunes won't be playable on the iPod if disk mode is used to put it onto the iPod.
