ITunes Video Download Question.

Ok, this laptop I am using now is breaking and I have a question.
If I wanted to download any videos I bought from iTunes, do I just click check for available downloads or do I need to buy them again? (Note I have 50+ Videos bought)

do I need to buy them again?
Probably. Click here, follow the instructions to locate the files, and back them up if you can.

  • IPad video download question

I downloaded a TV series via my iPad and it does not show up o app.  The store shows it as downloaded.  I've installed the latest version of iPad and have iCloud turned on.  I thought iCloud stored iTunes video purchases, don't see that, do see music storage?

Did you look in your video app? Also check in iTunes and make sure you have it setup to sync movies.  You will need to connect your iPad to the computer then launch iTunes then click on your iPad then select the movie tab.

  • ITunes video download failure

I purchased a music video last night but during the download there was an internet failure. I could continue the download once connected again but the video is now corrupt and when I open it it crashes iTunes. Can I delete the download & download it again at no cost?

iCloud storage has nothing to do with downloading a movie to the iPad because it is local storage that you need - space on the iPad itself - not in iCloud. So why you got this message makes no sense.
You could try deleting apps or other TV shows or videos to make room to finish the download - or if you want a refund - even though all sales are final according to the terms of the iTunes Store - you can request one from iTunes Store Support and see if they will oblige.
Go here and see if iTunes will help.

  • How do you stop itunes video download on ipad? No pause button appears. Won't stop downloading, over and over again.

I purchased a tv episode on my ipad. It started to download, after an hour it gave an error message. The episode appeared in videos, I watched it. Then I discovered it was still downloading. It gets up to the end, then starts all over again. Nothing I do will stop it. There is no pause button, nothing happens when I swipe it. I've tried everything, turning off, signing out of appleid, it basically eats up my bandwith nonstop and I can no longer use my ipad. How do I get this thing to stop downloading?

to the right by search library theres an arrow there click on it : it will show you what it is downloading , from there you can pause and select all and delete them but still will continue to download them if you tell itunes to check for downloads. that download engien is crazy i tell yeah.
no matter what we do it will still download them trust me i tryed everything and i also went to icloud to see if it was there but to what i see is that there is no apps there this is some crazy itune program that needs to remade.

  • Itune video downloads don't play on the new ipod

I am able to purchase video content from the itunes site and play it on my laptop, but downloads to my ipod have audio only even though the video format is supposed to be supported. ( this is true for both TV programs and music videos ) Apple's Ipod helpdesk is well....helpless. The tech I spoke to says its ITune's issue not Ipod's, claiming the file format should be supported but may not be and there is no apparent way to know. ( the tech couldn't tell either from the file information from Itunes )
Is video content purchased on ITunes playable on Ipods? If not, why is that not apparent before you purchase something.
Last comment, customer service from ITunes is very poor.

Hi DebiKen, welcome to discussions. We are other users, not Apple support...in case you thought we were.
If you have a video iPod, you may have better luck over on the 5th gen iPod boards. Not all of us are lucky enough to have a video iPod....

  • Corrupted Itunes Video Downloads?

I purchased the BCS title game season pass and am having problems. The season highlights video and the Short Cut version of the game downloaded fine. They loaded to the Ipod fine. I have have watched them both NUMEROUS times. When the full game became available, i downloaded it fine. When transferring to Ipod, i get a "cant read or write to disk' failure about 3/4 the way thru transfer. I download a new Itunes song, and it transferred and worked fine. I reset the Ipod. Still same failure. Got the All BCS games highlight video, and now it fails to load with the same error. I backed up the entire library and did a restore on the Ipod. Now, any music i choose, itunes or from my original CD collection will drag to the Ipod with no problem. The BCS short cut version loaded fine to the Ipod. But those same two video files of BCS games fail with the SAME error saying the Ipod cant be read from or written to. The downloaded files must be corrupt. How do i get them replaced?

Ok, it seems i have solved the problem on my own. After the first restore, the IPod failed completely and wouldnt let me even re-load anyfile types. The offending error was almost automatic when dragging files. I restored a second time with the same result. Now I was very mad. After a THIRD full restore of my IPod and plugging the USB directly to my PC instead of my hub, everything loaded as it was supposed to. And the bonus was that it happened a heck of a lot faster than it EVER did out of the hub.

  • ITunes 6 Download Question

When I download iTunes 6 for Windows, will my music stay in iTunes?

Yes, it should. Mine always has, over several upgrades.
But it is always best practice to have backups. iTunes purchased music only allows one download from the music store.
Also, you might want to back up your library files. These have sometimes gone missing in upgrades....and playlists, playcounts are lost.
What are the iTunes library files?

  • Faulty iTunes video download

    Hi,
I have downloaded loads of TV series/episodes on my iPad or Laptop in the past and it's been fine.
However, I recently downloaded the BBC series Mistresses (series 3) and the first episode stalls about 10 minutes before the end and just gives a black screen. I thought this was my iPad playing up so synched with my macbook and then tried watching the end of the episode on my laptop, but it does the same thing. Episode 2 is also dodgy...just scanning through episode 3 seems ok.
However, I have scanned through iTunes help and it doesn't seem to tell me anything about what to do if the download has been faulty. If I try to download again it wants me to pay again, which is ludicrous!
Does anyone know what I can do to solve this little issue?
    Thanks!

Click here and tell the iTunes Store staff you got a couple of bad downloads.

Do you mean the Downloads section of iTunes on the iPhone...

You can remove from the iPhone by un-checking it from the sync through itunes

  • Itunes video conversion question/confusion

    Hey guys,
If I have a movie for appletv at 720p in my itunes movie folder, and convert it for use for the ipod or iphone.. does that mean I loose the 720p file? Or does it make two files, one of each quality? Confused
    Thanks
    Mo

No, you won't loose the original unless you delete it. Conversion makes a copy.

  • Ipod nano 3rd gen. video download question

    Hi All,
I tried adding a movie video to my ipod nano (3rd gen) and it took up the space when I synced it but when I ejected and went to find it on my ipod it wasn't there. There was no video file to find but the space was indeed used. My husband has a Ipod classic and the same movie synced onto his ipod and my daughter has the ipod nano 4th gen and she was able to view movie also. Is the 3rd Gen nano not video compatible? Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

It's as compatible as the 4G version; I think you just had bad luck. If you can't find & delete the (large) file, you'll have restore and start over.

  • Exporting video downloaded from itunes

I've downloaded a couple shows from the itunes store and wanted to export them using QT Pro to another format. But when i open the movie the export command is greyed out and cannot be selected. I've tried this with a few different itunes video downloads and get the same greyed out export command. any ideas?
    thx

Thanks Kirk. Was just curious to see if i could shrink the video files down so they wouldn't take up so much space on my ipod.

  • I am not a knowledgeable user - have what may be a stupid question!  I just purchased a TV show series on iTunes and downloaded all episodes for the season.  But I believe i want them on my iCloud instead of my laptop.  How do I transfer them or dupl

I am not a knowledgeable user - have what may be a stupid question!  I just purchased a TV show series on iTunes and downloaded all episodes for the season.  But I believe i want them on my iCloud instead of my laptop.  How do I transfer them to the Cloud or duplicate on the iCloud?

You can't transfer any purchase to the cloud yourself, whether a TV programme/series will show in the cloud for redownloading in the future depends upon what country that you are in (TV programmes can't be redownloaded in all countries), whether you move countries (you can't redownload purchases made in another country) and if the rights-holder keeps them in the store (they occasionally remove their items).
As you bought it on your laptop then you could turn Settings > iTunes & App Store > Videos (under 'show all') 'on' on your iPad and it might show in the Videos app on it with a cloud icon against it for streaming/redownloading (it might also show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store app for refownloading whether or not you turn that 'on') - but that depends upon your country and only whilst it remains in your country's store. Similarly if you delete it from your laptop and tick the 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases' tick box on the Store tab in Edit > Preferences it might show in the TV Shows part of your library for redownloading (and whether or not you tick that it might show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading).
But you should be taking a backup copy of it, and anything else that you download from the stores, there is no guarantee that you will be able to redownload any item.
