  • Can I add a PowerPoint presentation with voice narration to my iTunes video folder

I have a PowerPoint file with voice narrative in .pptx format.  It is 764MB file size.
Is there a was to export it to movie format (.mov) and place it in my iTunes Video folder?
Or is there another way to get my .pptx PowerPoint file into my iTunes movie/video folder?

    Hi
Please describe How You go from PPT to iDVD. Via iMovie ?
If so - then convert Your .wma file to .aiff (same kHz) and use this in iMovie instead. (no .mp3 either)

  • Itunes video conversion question/confusion

    Hey guys,
If I have a movie for appletv at 720p in my itunes movie folder, and convert it for use for the ipod or iphone.. does that mean I loose the 720p file? Or does it make two files, one of each quality? Confused
    Thanks
    Mo

No, you won't loose the original unless you delete it. Conversion makes a copy.

  • ITunes Video Folder-Not friendly

Seems that iTunes videos and podcasts only works well with files that were downloaded from iTunes Music store. I would like to add videos that I already have on my computer to the Music Video Category of my library. My own video files will fit into the Movies window but not the Music Video category, but I wish that it wasnt as rigid. Any idea of how to get by this?

I would imagine that you can set a movie clip to be either 'music video' or 'movie' as you would be able to legally own either of those anyway. For example, many cds come with a music video as a bonus. You could copy that to you iTunes library and therefore want to set it to be a 'music video'.
The same is true for any home movies you may have made - as you would want to tell iTunes that they were movies (and therefore not music videos).
However, I guess that as you're not officially supposed to have tv-shows floating around on the computer that Apple have decided you have no reason to need an option to tell iTunes it is a tv-show. This is perhaps a little naive of Apple, but I guess they're just playing by the rules really. Your tv-shows will work find being a 'movie', so I guess that's where they'll have to stay.

  • ITunes Video Download Question.

Ok, this laptop I am using now is breaking and I have a question.
If I wanted to download any videos I bought from iTunes, do I just click check for available downloads or do I need to buy them again? (Note I have 50+ Videos bought)

do I need to buy them again?
Probably. Click here, follow the instructions to locate the files, and back them up if you can.

  • Video in itunes video folder but will not sync to iPad

So I have a few vidoes in iTunes on my computer, I plug my iPad in, it syncs but only puts files from my iPad to the computer.  It will not go the other way.  It does not look like it put music i bought in itunes on my computer either.  Anyone know why?   So it is missing stuff both ways... I am logged in and all that.  Have not synced to anything else except backing up to iCloud.

In order to move purchased content from the iPad into iTunes, connect the iPad to the PC, launch iTunes and right click on the iPad name on the left side under devices and select Transfer Purchases.
In order to sync the Videos to the iPad you have to select them to sync to the iPad in iTunes. While connected to the PC and with iTunes running, select the iPad on the left side, click on the Movies Tab in the window on the right, click on the Sync Movies Heading, select each video that you want to transfer and then click on Apply in the lower right corner.

  • With ITunes in Windows Vista, I've attempted to drag and drop a homemade video folder but it doesn't show up in my ITunes library.  What should I be doing differently?

With ITunes in Windows Vista, I've attempted to drag and drop a homemade video folder from my Desktop to ITunes on the PC in order to transfer it to my IPad (as per instructions), but it doesn't show up in my ITunes library.  What else should I be doing?

Do you have any videos/movies in the video app?
In iTunes if you right click on the video and select Get Info and go to the Option tap what Media Type is shown?

USB 3 should be more than enough for what you want.
I don't know anything about Pinnacle but iMovie (assuming you are going default) does produce movies with a datarate of around 10 Mbps, which is quite high in comparison to iTunes movies from the iTunes Store. I don't know if you might want to try custom exports.
Although saying that I have plenty of movies at around 10 Mbps on my eSATA external which doesn't have any problems.

  • How do you choose your video folder so itunes can see it?

For some reason, itunes is not seeing my video folder on my laptop. How can I point it to the correct folder so I can sync some videos to my iphone?

Back in iTunes, click on the Movies or TV Shows menu items to see what iTunes sees. They have to first be listed there in your library.
Then try to play one. Just because they are listed there, if you ever moved them and didn't tell iTunes, iTunes has a pointer pointing to the old location. If iTunes can play them you should be ok (if in right format for iPhone). If it cannot find it, it will tell you (and put an exclamation point next to file) and you have to go find the file (iTunes will prompt to have you find it) so it can update it's pointer.
Only after iTunes knows where it is (eg: can play the file from your library) can you sync it (if in right format).

  • Question about moving iTunes Media folder/library

    Hello,
I'm responding to the article listed here: iTunes for Windows: Moving your iTunes Media folder - Apple Support that describes moving your iTunes media folder. I have a massive music library/playlists (over 350 gigs and growing). I'm planning to relocate my media folder to Dropbox because I have ample space there and it will allow me to run my library off of multiple computers (though not at the same time). My question is this: if I follow the steps and consolidate and relocate my library to the new Dropbox folder, will all my new uploads and downloads/purchases/imports also start automatically going to this newly specified location? I want to make sure that it would.
    Thanks

Well the way that Dropbox works for me (just documents and data, not iTunes) is that I have a complete copy of the files in my Dropbox folder on my computer at home, and at work, and in the cloud on Dropbox's servers. Each time I update one of the files it is uploaded to Dropbox and then downloaded to the other client machine. When using another computer I can access my files from the Dropbox web interface, or use the Dropbox app on my iPad. It sounds like you are hoping that you can have all of your files in the cloud, and only in the cloud. I don't think it works that way.
For 350Gb and growing I think that realistically you need to stick with local storage. I clone my library to a 1Tb portable drive which I physically take to and from work, At each location I use SyncToy to synchronize the local and portable copies of the libraries effectively giving me three parallel clones of the library at all times.

  • I rented a movie on my mini iPad from iTunes. There is a blank box in the video folder and no download button. Any suggestions?

I rented a movie on my mini iPad from iTunes. There is a blank box in the video folder and no download button. When I press the box the movie comes up but won't download.  There is usually a download button at the bottom of the screen but is not there.  Any suggestions?

You move the movie from iTunes to iPad (tap to enlarge image)
Movie will be moved to the Videos app.

  • MOV files in computer video folder don't DL to My Library in iTunes

I have several MOV files on my computer in the video folder which I would like to DL to my library in iTunes and then burn DVDs. I have tried "add file". The title appears, but the time is 00. There is no download. I have Quicktime Pro. Does anybody have a solution? I have spent hours on this but have not been successful.

    - Do you have Restrictions set that would prevent the syncing? Settings>General>Restrictions
    - Do they play in iTunes?
    - Is the format or source different that the one that do sync?

It sounds like you are trying to manually manage the media on your iPod while you have it set to Auto Sync. This document explains the difference in the two methods. You can switch between the two, but you can use both at the same time.

  • How to Share One iTunes Media Folder on a Windows Laptop and Mac Laptop

I have an HP EX490 Home Server setup. I want to use the Music Share volume to act as the home for all of our music. I am using a MacBook Pro and my wife is using a Dell Windows Vista Laptop. I have my iTunes pointing to the iTunes Media Folder on the Music Share. The iTunes Library resides on my laptop in Music/iTunes/Library. I used the consolidate library feature and it moved all the music to the appropriate iTunes folder on the Share. Now I want to do that with the Windows Vista Laptop. I have the Vista laptop pointing to the Share for the iTunes Media folder location. The question is how do I add the files to her library? Do I "consolidate library" again or just "add folder to library"? Also do I keep the boxes checked "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" under the Advanced Tab in Preferences? Would greatly appreciate the help. Lots of music/videos and only want to do this once.
    Thanks in Advance
    Tom

Go to your File menu and use the command Add Folder to Library. When the dialog comes up, point it to the Music folder in the Share area. But read on first...
Also do I keep the boxes checked "Keep iTunes Media folder organized"
You must turn off the "Keep..." option. Otherwise, when one of you changes a tag, iTunes will re-"organize" and the other person's iTunes will lose the link.
The "Copy..." option should also be turned off. As you add new music, put it where you want it. Then you must "Add File to Library" from each iTunes.
