ITunes Video has no sound

All but one of my iTunes Video's on my laptap lost its sound for some reason. Can anyone suggest a cause and solution.

Found the fix.
If the reboot doesn't fix it.
If the headphoens work find, but no external speakers.
If the double-click and page right to the software mute, doesn't show the sound knob - just the brightness

Then, the problem is very likely a dirty connector. The iPad/iPhone/iPod connector uses a resistor value to determine if the device is connected to an external 'speaker'. There are a range of resistances, for a range of products. This is known as the Connector Pin 21 issue.
Take some windex on a que-tip, or perhaps a Windex paper scrub and rub it on the bottom connector port. Somehow, "something" has gotten on those contacts, and it is pulling the voltage on pin #21 down - so that the iPad "thinks" it's connected to an external speaker - this will disable the internal speaker circuitry, as well as the internal speaker volume controls.
Do not over-saturate and short out your iPad. Do not throw it in the sink, do not use the kitchen faucet to flush it out. A Que-tip with a few drops of Windex (or other gentle cleaner) should work just fine. Takes all of 30 seconds - and magically, the volume knob appeared and everything worked just fine.

So you have a video (.mov) that some how you got from Flash.
It has no sound on it.
Does the .mov import into Premiere?
If it does..you edit it in the timeline (sequence) and add audio to the audio track(s) before exporting it.

Itunes - video conversion - no sound

I have several videos of my family I have taken with my Sony digital camera (with sound) I would like to load on my ipod video.

Just had this occure as you described: ringer only all other sounds mute. The second time this has happened. A simple reboot (turn off and on) restored normal functionality. the first time I read some post but don't remember how I restored it then so I am back here again. Seems like the problem and fix is different for different people, but this time for me a reboot did it.

Itunes playback has no sound

Hi, it seems that since I have moved onto itunes version 8 I can no longer use the playback for movies or music! I select a title and it appears in the itunes playback window but the diamond indicator does not move and nothing can be heard! I'm using Windows Vista and have checked my sound playback on things and all seems ok. Anyone got any idea?

Go to control panel > programs > default programs > set program access and computer defaults. You can then choose between 3 configurations: windows, non-windows, and custom. Choose custom, and under default media player, disable access to windows media player and windows media center, and choose itunes as your default. Hope it works!!

I had the same issue when I tested an H.264 video on the Content Viewer. I went back to my original movie and re-exported my video with AAC audio. When I tested it again in the Content Viewer, the sound worked. I never tested it on an iPad, but I'm assuming this is an issue with the Content Viewer in InDesign.

I have iTunes on the Mac at my work. I've been using the radio thing on it for about 9 years and suddenly it quit.

ok, i downloaded a dvd ripper and ripped a dvdonto my computer, i converted it and then, there's no sound! >_< what should i do?

Downloaded movie has no sound

I just downloaded a movie for the first time into Itunes. it has no sound. Everything else in my Itunes plays fine.. just the movie. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Itunes 11.2 and 11.2.1 has no sound in Application

Iv had Some problems with Itunes for a while now. All in the store with being unable to update Acount info. But Recently Iv been unable to Hear anything in itunes. The System Sound Checks out. The audio files are there. Movies and tvshows dont have sound but video works. If i take the Movie into quicktime it runs fine. the same with The Music. I can Use The ausio files in other applications like Final Cut and listen to them in quick time. This has only come up recently and only after I airdroped a movie from my Imac 27". (Which works Fine) Any Sollutions anyone
PS: also have updated and Force quit my computer. Want to refrian from reinstalling because i will lose all of my music. Some of which is not off if the Itunes store>

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

Hello everyone.
I have been having this issue for a few months now and nothing works to resolve it. The biggest issue is that iTunes videos constantly stutter ever few seconds, the audio portion of the video is not effected. The most I have open at once is Safari, Skype, and iTunes, and possibly Open Office. Videos will even stutter with nothing else open other than iTunes. At times it sounds like the computer is running something in the background from hard drive noise.
I even upgraded the RAM to 8GB and it still has this problem! Nothing looks wrong in Activity Monitor other than occasionally the memory usage spikes up to 6GB, but even then the memory pressure graph is green. I dont understand how these non-intensive programs can use that much. The hard drive is barely 1/3 full.
Please help with a solution as nothing has worked so far. Thanks!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

ITunes Video Playback - Sound skipping

Hi - Just bought a new PC and have installed iTunes and brought over all my sound and video files to it via iPod hard disk function. Music is playing perfectly. All video playback is accompanied by terrible stuttering and spluttering of the audio. This is occuring at all times - even if iTunes is the only app running. DVD playback fantastic on PC as is video playback using other apps. Videos i'm trying to play are all under 5 minutes long and differ in type from video podcasts to Pixar content bought from itunes shop. New PC has brilliant spec so don't understand - any suggestions? All help much appreciated - regards!!

I almost have the same problem with the Video Podcast the sound is bad, For the audio only it works perfectly. At first everything was in order and worked well.
Then for no reason I got the trouble with the sound of the Video Podcast there was echoes and the quality was poor.
Cause it’s new computer I re-installed everything, so it worked well again. Then after going on a web site that uses active X for animation I got the problem back. I have no idea if Active X QuickTime are connected but each time the pattern the same.
Have tried to re-install iTunes the Quick Time I have changed the Audio option about filters in both nothing helped.

What you want to do does not work with an iPd running iOS 5. See the screenshot.
The latest update for HBO GO does allow for AirPlay on Apple TV - sound and video - but only on devices running iOS 6 and Apple TV running 5.1.1 or later - according to the app description.
