ITunes volume level vs. OS X volume level

Hello,
Is there any method to "lock" the iTunes volume level to OS X? Ie. i don't want two options to adjust volume level (inside iTunes and in OS X on my MacBook Pro). I just want one. The thing is that i want to be able to adjust the volume level using the Remote app on my iphone. But i always leave the volume bar on max inside iTunes, so i'm only able to decrease the volume and not increase it.
Let me explain this with an example:
iTunes is playing some song.
iTunes volume is a 100%
OS X volume is at 50%
I'm not next to my computer and i wan't to increase the volume of the music.
I pull out my iphone from my pocket, launch Remote and the volume bar is at 100% - hence i'm only able to decrease the volume.
Until now i would turn down the volume in itunes to lets say 50% and the volume in OS X to 100%. That way i would be able to both de- and increase the volume from the Remote. But this means that all other sound on my MacBook is at 100% and that is sometimes too loud.
So what i would like some patch or app that adjust the volume in itunes if i manually adjust the OS X volume, to match the same percentage. And vice versa; if i adjust the volume in itunes (inside itunes on my mac or through the Remote app) it should adjust the it should automatically adjust it to the corresponding percentage in OS X.

ITunes doesn't return to full volume after a phone call

At work I use iTunes on a 32-bit Windows 7 machine. We use Microsoft Lync for phone calls.
My settings are set so that Windows reduces the volume of applications by 80% when I have a phone call. This works just fine. If I leave the music playing during the call, then when I finish the call, it will return to the normal volume.
However, if I pause iTunes during the call, then the volume does not return to normal, and I have to use the volume mixer to fix it. Is there a solution to this?

I have just upgraded to the latest version of OSX as invited by Apple. Since then iTunes will not play and my volume controls have stopped working - in Preferences the sound controller is not able to find any input or output devices. What is going on?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
There will be no audio output in safe mode. The question to be answered by the test is whether any devices are listed in the Sound preference pane. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Cannot answer that question. That is a decision made by Apple.

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.

No sound through stereo headset
Inspect the headset jack for debris and clean if necessary.
Connect the headset and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume up and down button on the left side of the iPhone.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music on iPhone is not paused. Try squeezing the headset microphone to resume playback. Additionally, from the Home screen you can choose iPod > Now Playing, then tap Play.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPhone with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).
Try another Apple headset (some third-party headsets require an adapter to be used with original iPhone).
Try a different song or video.
Check to see if the iPhone alert sounds or other iPhone sound effects exhibit the same audio issues.
Disconnect the headset from the iPhone and see if sound comes from the built-in speaker.

Row level security at universe design level

I am creating a Universe layer on top of non SAP OLAP cube ( from MS Analysis Services 2005 ) .
My concern is that can we maintain the row level or data level security at universe design level or if i am using that universe in creation of WEBI report so is there any possiblity to maintain this security at WEBI level.

Hi I am not trying to change any setting. I am trying to increase the size of the volume. I understand in case of a Snapmirrored volume the fs_fixed options is ON.But one can always increase the actual volume size using vol size command. Even if I increase the size on ONTAP on the file system side it will show as the size same as source. I understand that. So my question is why is it prevenitng me from increasing the size. You may also want to reset your network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

How to Enable Week Level Planning instead of Day Level with ATPM

Hello Experts,
We've a requirement wherein, we would like to do Week Level Planning instead of Day Level.
But as soon as, we remove CALDAY from the DSO/aggregation level, the planning layout doesn't get rendered.
Hence we need to always add CALDAY in Planning DSO and Aggregation level.
How can we get rid of this?
We are on BW SP7.4 SP6.
It would be great, if you can share your expert opinion on this.

I was able to figure out how can we enable the week level planning. There are some more finer aspects which needs to be flushed out but atleast I can see that planning is possible on Week Level.

Updation of higher level item text to lower level item text

Hi All,
while creating sales order VA01 i need to pass the value of higher level item text to lower level item text
for that i read the text of the higher level item text using the fm read_text
and pass the text to the lower level items using save_text and commit_text
this coding works only when the lower order item text is empty
my queries are
1. if the lower level item having some text that text will be replaced by the higher level item text, that is happening but showing error that I/O error , how to solve this
2. while gone to VA02 and add one more item then also same error is happening how to solve this please help me.

When you assign Copy Header level Billing Plan to item level Billing Plan That header level billing plan data also will come to item level it means you can change in item level
if you dont want this function in item level -- Billing plan ..Just remove the check box

Cumulation of lower level item prices to higher level items

Hi,
We have a specific requirement that we use high-level materials that is not relevant for pricing and lower level items connected to higher-level item that are RA and billing relevant. How do we modify the pricing procedure to cumulate (roll-up) the lower level items to higher level item which is not price relevant but statistical value should be updated at this level for billing purpose.
We want to achieve this using/modifying only pricing procedure and not via user exit..
Request SAP experts to provide some inputs to this issue..

But generally if you want to transfer the cost of the sub item to main item then you can check the box Cumulative cost in copy control VTFL . But your requirement is quite opposite .So you need to go to assign a New Reqt / Alt calc type to the cond type , telling that the header item cost which is not relevant for pricing has to be transferred to sub item .So you need to integrate with the ABAP'er to give inputs to him and giving our requirement also

Controlling Level At The Production Order Level

Hi,
I want to set the ML controlling level to the production order level because I want to see the actual BOM used for each production order at the production order level. Since a different BOM may have been used for each production order (although the FG is the same) i must be able to see the actual BOM for each production order at the CKM3N screen.
However in the controlling level setting there is no way to set the controlling level up to the production order level. May i know why?

Dimension level sequence not generated but "level id" is

Using OWB 10gR2 on Oracle 9.0.2.6
I have a three level dimension on a building table. The highest level address portfolios (based on manager responsibilities), province (where the building is) and final building information.
I have defined the surrogate key and business key for all levels. The portfolio level is inserted ok and so is the lowest level building but the province level does not populate the surrogate key. The negative value that it should use is in the "level id" only. I look at the pl/sql generated and the insert statement does not show the surrogate key.
I did notice that the levels were not defined with the lowest level (building) as the last in the list. Does this make a difference or not?
The other thing I notice is that a portfolio may span more than one province. So in fact the province may be there more than once but associated to different portfolio. Can a province have more than one portfolio or is the chronological order from level 1 to level 2 can only be 1:n and not n:n?
ex: portfolio 66 can be for province "ON" and "QC" but portfolio 77 can also be in "ON" and portfolio 88 in "ON" and who knows portfolio 89 in "QC".
