ITunes will not add new songs to iPod. Please help!

Hello, my problem is pretty self-explainitory. I have the newest versions of itunes and ipod. When I plug in my ipod it "updates" it fine but once its done the new songs/artists/albums/playlists are not on my ipod.
Please help.

oh my gosh that is like the same thing that happened to me! i just downloaded itunes 7.0.2 yesterday and i bought some new songs and downloaded songs from cds into my library. i clicked "sync ipod" and the songs i downloaded from cds were the only things that went on!!!none of the songs i bought from itunes store went on my ipod!
i made sure i checked them and everything! they just won't go on my ipod!

I have not had an issue syncing before, I have just added heaps of songs to itunes, connected my iPod, it states Updating ipod for a few seconds and then Ipod Update is complete and yet no new songs or my new play lists appear on my ipod, what am I doing wrong?

I have 4th generation ipod (u2 special edition) that has given me no problems since i bought it 2004, its in perfect condition. Today i just went to add some new songs to it from itunes and it will not add them at all... my computer and itunes recognises the ipod as normal and syncs it, but does not add the new songs.....any idea why this is? I havn't changed any setting at all so im at a complete loss!!

Itunes will not download complete song on ipod

I have tried with several different ipods and it will not download complete songs. Tried putting them on one at a time or whole sections. I did all the upgrades except the safari. Please help... I have a lot of songs and very disappointed kids too!

You are in the dreaded "Authorization Loop". Here are the usual fixes - try them in this order, syncing your iPod after each one.
1. Deauthorize the PC for both accounts until it is showing zero authorizations on that PC for both accounts. Then reauthorize the PC again fr both accounts.
2. Delete the SC Info folder (not just the file) as mentioned in this article

3. Download a free single of the week and play a few seconds of it.

Itunes will not add new material to my iPad and iPhone

I have gotten a new imac and I am in the process of trying to reset up my ipad, and iphone. I cannot seem to add new content to either of these. I tell itunes to add certain pictures or music files, but it is not adding them onto either. I have had to restore factory setting to get the ipod up and running.

Some people have reported exactly the same thing and the culprit appeared to be itunes Match. Some people wait for it to resolve itself >1day or othere switch off itunes match and re-import

when i sync/update my ipod nano all the songs/pictures i deleted have gone, however i have 40 songs that i imported from cds that will not upload onto my ipod. the songs are all under the right ACC form and i have the space on my ipod so i don't understand the problem.

30 GB Video IPOD will not play the songs...PLEASE HELP!!!

My 30 GB Video IPOD just stopped playing the songs. You can move easily through the menu, select a song, and press the play button, but the song will not play (the time bar doesn't move at all). It's as though it is frozen...it never moves from 0:00. Every other aspect of the unit is working...but the songs. Can someone help???

I have put our new credit cards in accounts but we still cannot use itunes.

iTunes probably detected the unauthorized activity on the accounts and disabled them for that reason. These forums are just for other Apple users, so no one here will have the power to re-enable your account. You should contact iTunes Support: http://apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

Titles will not add to my photos! PLEASE HELP!

I am having an issue trying to add titles to my photos. I have the photos already pulled down and adjusted for the 'Ken Burns Effect.' I was able to add the 'Music Video' title to my first two photos by simply dragging the 'Music Video' title over to the clip, but now it is creating an entirely new clip with a black background. All I am trying to do is have a small subtitle on my photos, which is an informational DVD I am creating that needs a new subtitle for each picture. Any help would be appreciated!

Creating a color clip
When you move a video or audio clip in the timeline, you create a gap at one end of the clip. In the clip viewer, this gap is represented by a black color clip. When you play your movie, gaps appear as black (empty) video.
You can change the color clip to show another color. This can be useful as an artistic element in your movie, or to change the background color for text.

I also can´t create a colored clip, when I take info on a clip, there is no option to choose color :-((
All you need to do is click on the black color box and a color wheel will pop up. you can then select your color.

1.Select the color clip in the clip viewer and choose File > Show Info.
2.Click the Color box and choose a color for the clip.
3.Click Set.

Sounds like you've got connection problems, Al. Also, the exclamation mark means you need to restore your iPod.
Run the iPod Updater (Start - Programs - iPod) and only connect your mini when it tells you to connect and iPod. This time, however, connect it to one of the ports on the rear of your computer (if you have a desktop).
If it's still not recognized by the updater, reset it: hold down the Menu and Center buttons until you see the Apple logo.
If it's recognized by the updater, choose the Restore option and follow the instructions from there.

Ipod will not update new songs from itunes

My ipod will not update new songs from itunes. I've purchased several songs from the music store, updated my playlists and as added some from my CD collection and they are not transfering from my library to my ipod.
I've tried numerous configurations under the preferences - ipod menue but still can't get them to transfer.
One error I occasionally get is "ipod cannot be updated because there is not enough free space to hold all of the songs in the itunes music library"
There is plenty of room on my ipod so I can't figure out why. It almost seems as if it is trying to copy all of my songs not just the new ones because all songs in my librbary are checked.

Diesel vdub asked a question which you have answered yourself, although you don't appear to realise it.
He/she (sorry diesel, I don't know) asked: "Is the song actually on the computer?" and you stated that: "I transfered all songs onto the new computer" and "I looked in the folder but the songs just cant be found" so the copy hasn't worked.
You also mention manually copying, as opposed to a previous (presumably different) method.
How are you trying to copy these songs? Do the copy first and make sure that works. If your first method doesn't work, try a diifferent one - such as the manual copy you referred to (copying onto a memory stick, card, disc etc. etc.)
Until you sort out why your method of copying hasn't worked, everything else you "try" is a waste of time.

I am having this problem as well, both with audio files AND video files. Very frustrating, as I just got my first iPod and want to load it up so I can play! (Not new to iTunes, though...just didn't have everything loaded into it).

I have recently encoutnered a problem with my 5th generation 60gb ipod which I'm hoping someone can help me with?
When I plug my ipod into my computer and open itunes, it recognises that the ipod is plugged in, but asks me to set-up the ipod, like it is the first time I have used this ipod. Also it does not recognise any of the 5,000 or so songs on the ipod.
When my ipod is not plugged into my computer all 5,000 songs still appear on it and play with no problems.
For some reason itunes will not recognise the songs on my ipod - even though I have added them all with this software and about a third of them on this computer.
If I choose to proceed with the set-up of my ipod, I am afriad I will lose all 5,000 songs off my ipod.
Can anyone offer a suggestion - as it is, I either wipe my ipod or concede that I can't add any more songs to it, even though it is only half full.
Oh yeah, I have added all files to my ipod manually.

With those symptoms, it's probably worth checking to see if you're getting a Windows drive letter confusion. For troubleshooting advice on that, see the following document:
