ITunes will not allow me to play this...?

I bought a song from the iTunes store, and it will not allow me to move it to my iPod because it says I "am not authorized to play it on this computer." But I know I bought it because the cost of the song was deducted from my gift card money.
Can anyone help me with this? I am not pleased.

Have you gone to the iTunes Store menu > Authorize Computer and enter your Apple ID and password when prompted?
Then try synching the song to your iPod again.
