Itunes will not continue to new track

hi all,
I have just opened itunes today and played a song from my collection, once the track has finished itunes stops and will not play the next track automatically. Also if a track is playing and i click next from the controlls >> the track stops.
Any ideas how to solve this? thanks

The usual reason for the track not advancing ist that the little boxes to the left of the track name are not checked.
You can check all your tracks by using Ctrl+click in one of the boxes in your library view.
Or use edit>select all and right click on the selction - check all should be an options.

Do you have a new Apple ID to use in NZ? If not open iTunes Store. Log out of your old Apple ID, then try to login. Select Create Apple ID from the dialog that appears. Make a new Apple ID for NZ with a NZ email address. Once that is approved and verified, log into the iTunes Store with the new Apple ID. This should fix all other issues.

Itunes will not detect my new nano. HELP! I have a dell with vista. my old shuffles work fine with itunes, but it will no longer detect my nano. Apple says my nano is fine.

I've worked with Apple 2 times. The first time we spent 2 hours on the phone uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, quicktime and other software and it worked for a while. Now, once again, itunes will not recognize my 6th generation nano. My old shuffle works fine. I sent the nano to apple and they shipped it back stating it was fine after upgrading firmware. However, it still will not be recognized from itunes. Please help, I'm totally lost and disappointed after spending money and so much wasted time on this thing.....

ITunes will not import many mp3 tracks.

I've just purchased a 160 gig iPod. I have been having a great deal of trouble importing my music library into iTunes - iTunes simply ignores many tracks. What's frustrating about this is that these are purchased tracks - many of them were brought from Other Music Digital (http://digital.othermusic.com/).
These tracks are 320kbps Non Variable Rate MPEG-1 Layer III (Mp3) files, with no DRM. When I attempt to import them to iTunes, I see the import progress bar, then nothing - the tracks never appear in the library, and I get no failure message of any kind.
Windows Media Player, and several other music player programs, have no problem with these tracks. Just iTunes.
Does anyone know what is going on?

I'm experiencing the same problem, and I must admit I have less patience than most. I am very frustrated with my new MacBook, and the Apple Updates seem to be about as ridiculous as my former PCs'. I have been searching for a fix for over a month now and to be honest, I'm embarrassed to admit I am considering purchasing a PC just to import new music files and to update my iPod--of which I regret purchasing now that I am having so many problems with something so simple. Furthermore, its absurd that Apple has not responded to any of my posts on this topic. I am quickly loosing faith with Apple's ability to please their customers. It seems that just a few years ago Apple had a different face called Macintosh, who was much more concerned about the functionality of their product. Not to mention that my G5 iMac seems to run more efficiently than my PowerPC intel MacBook. I am beginning to experience glitches and errors which were never a concern with my previous Macintosh platforms... Yet, most importantly I am still unable to play many of my .mp3's which were working just fine prior to my most recent update of iTunes. My lesson is learned, and in the future I will not be updating my MacBook with any of the suggested patches. Each time I update the platform it seems that I loose more functionality. Its rather upsetting and for similar reason, it is unfortunate that I will not be purchasing the newest AirBook in due to my doubt of its performance. I think the Apple tree needs to be shaken a bit, because their advertisement are become evermore deceiving with their idealizations of a system more efficient than their PC counterpart. And by no means do I intend my comment to make sauce of Apple, I am a devote Macintosh user; however, their inablity to formulate a solution has given me a headache and I don't see how that is any different than my former PC migraines. Itunes will not open on new computer just purchased???? Im going crazy here

I just purchased a new Gateway computer and I downloaded the new version of Itunes,,,, all of that went well... When I plug my ipod up and when It comes up on the menu bar and I try to open it...it opens a screen that shows My ipod in picture, the version of it, options it shows the capacity of gigs. etc. but it will not open the contents of the ipod so I can move songs around and downloaded new ones onto it....I hope this makes some since..Im lost ..Please help...

Just hit the arrow of the lefthand side of the ipods name then select "Music" below the ipods name

The .cda files are just tiny (44 byte) index files that are used on an audio CD. They are not the music, although it is a peculiarity of Windows that if you use its file system to look at an audio CD, all you see are the CDA files!
If you are trying to rip/import the songs into your iTunes library, you can use iTunes. Look in iTunes Help at the article "Import songs from CDs."

I tried to download the newest version for iTunes and now it is saying something about Apple Mobile Device. And now my iTunes will not complete the new download because of this. What does this mean???

I got most of it done but now it is not letting me delete my C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
It says that file is open in another program....What do i need to do to delete that?
Do you currently have the iCloud control panel installed? If so, uninstall that. Can you do the deletion now?

My iTunes will not sync any new songs that I've put in onto my phone.

My iphone 5s hasn't been backed up to my Icloud because my Icloud doesn't have enough space BUT I don't see how that correlates to Itunes not syncing my new music onto my phone. I have around 8 GB left on my phone so there shouldn't be a problem. Even when it says that it has synced, I'll go onto my music on my phone and it won't have those songs in the recently added playlist or on my phone at all.

Itunes will not recognize my new Ipod Nano

It will charge but my computer says a driver needs to be installed but it cannot find it and iTunes does not recognize it at all. Any help?

Okay. Maybe they're looking for the usbaapl.sys driver as well.
Try to bring the Hardware wizard up again. This time browse to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
... and select the usbaapl.sys file.
Any better luck with that one?

Itunes will not sync my new music to my ipod touch

so i plugged in my ipod touch into my new computer and had it transfer my purchases instead of erasing my media. then i used this application to put my songs that were already on my ipod but not actually purchased on itunes onto itunes. then i added some new songs onto itunes from cds then pressed sync.itunes said it had synchronized the songs onto my ipod, yet when i looked in the library on my ipod the songs were not there. PLEASE HELP!

You can only sync with one iTunes library. The iPod sees the new computer as a new library. To make the new computer your syncing computer you need to (assuming all the media is in the iTunes library):
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking one the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.

ITunes will not recognize my new iPhone 4

I just got an iPhone 4 from Best Buy today. Everything has worked fine throughout the day until I tried adding my music on to my phone. I have an iPod Nano that has worked fine with my computer in the past, always synced smoothly when needed. When I try syncing and adding music from my iTunes to my iPhone, iTunes does not recognize my iPhone at all. It does not show up under 'Devices' in iTunes. My 'Computer' (Windows 7) recognizes the iPhone as a device, but nothing in iTunes. I've updated my iPhone software, uninstalled all Apple programs, and reinstalled all of them back on to my computer, with no luck.

ITunes will not recognise my new Gift Card Code or Serial Number. Help!

I have just purchased an iTunes Gift Card with $30 credit. When I go to my iTunes and click 'redeem' it asks for my Gift Card Code. So I enter the code and it brings me to a new screen asking for the Gift Card Code, Serial Number and then my name and email address, when I click continue, it says that the gift card/serial number is invalid. How can this be when I am entering the correct details.

ITunes will not accept a new credit card Im trying to use and it's valid with money

I keep trying to put new credit card on iTunes and it tells me "card not valid" or "invalid security code". What do I do?

have exactly the same problem. i use virtual visa cards (mbnet.pt), issued by my bank (and that are tied to my bank account), and now itunes is also saying that i cannot add more cards. contaced costumer support, and they said the same, to go and buy gift cards (even though they're not sold in my country) or make a new account (losing all my previously purchades apps). So now basically im left with an account that cant buy stuff.
this is beyond crazy. ive been told by my friends that they thought that the limit was 5 cards every 30 days, but now costumer support says its forever. what?
also, im pretty sure that i only changed card 3 times the last month, and +1 time a couple of months before.
man, talk about a crazy limitation. i too dont know what to do now. one thing im sure, and that is i will never again buy anything from apple again if this doesnt get solved the "good" way. man, i just want them to AT LEAST allow me to add a "clickandbuy" account, but all i get is an error saying that ive added to many cards.

Library Update Fails, Itunes will not work with new 9.0 update

I just recently updated the Itunes software.
Since doing it, when I plug my Ipod 180 gig into my computer, or just try to open Itunes, the Library starts to update
I can do nothing else and then when it finishes, it fails.
Itunes closes and I am back to square one.
WHY?!?!?!
It was fine before I updated. Everything was running smooth.
This new update is messed up!!
What do I need to do to fix this issue??

OK - to answer my own question, Apple recommend 8.2.1, but you can install 9.1.1 and it will run on a G3. Very slowly. Looks like this is the only option. Get it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1036. You need OSX 10.4.11 or later though....

Windows or iTunes will not recognise my new ipod...

Hi,
Looking for some help here! Tried all the iTunes help tips and cannot seem to get anywhere.
I have a new 80gig iPod, and am trying to use it on my laptop through XP. I have already an older 3rd generation 20gig player which I have been using fine, but now I cannot get the new software/pc to recognise the new iPod.
Am I missing something majorly obvious - is there a way to get it to 'unrecognise' my old one and only the new?
I have previously had no problems using multiple iPods on this machine.
Any help greatfully received before I go out of my mind!!
