Itunes will not download for windows xp
When I click download, itunes goes thru it's process, then stops on "thank you for downloading itunes".The next process never happens.( run, save screen never comes up). Does anyone know a solution for this problem?
I have tried 2 different computers & to different browsers. (firefox & chrome).
Are both computers on the same wireless network? (Issues with a router can sometimes cause these sorts of symptoms.)

ITunes will not download on Windows 8.1
I have a new HP Touchsmart 15 with Windows 8.1. I am trying to download the latest version of ITunes. (having no ITunes on this laptop at all). Pop up blocker is off. When I click the download button, absolutely nothing happens.
Thanks for any suggestions! There is some anecdotal evidence that the scripts on the Apple site that are supposed to detect the version of Windows you are running may fail for some users - jumping straight to the "Thank you for downloading ..." page with the installer not having been downloaded. As an alternative, you can go directly to the relevant downloads:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (32-bit) - itunessetup.exe
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit) - itunes6464setup.exe
There is an alternative downloader for 64-bit editions of Windows here:
iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
that seems to address most of the playback issues that some users have been reporting with the full 64-bit version (the alternative installer here is the same architecture as most previous "64-bit" versions of iTunes, i.e., a 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer). The "for older video cards" reference does not seem to fully define the scope of systems for which this alternative works better.
See turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for more details if you're still having problems with installation. This also includes links to the iTunes 12.0 installers if the issues reported with 12.1 suggest it safer to use the previous version. -
Itunes will not download in windows 7
I have just up graded my old vista machine with Windows7 using an up grade disk but completelry removung the old vista system.
I have tried to down load the latest version of itunes but keep getting this error...
"This application package could not be opened.
Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, contact the application vendor
to verify that this is a valid windows installer package"
I have a genuine version of windows7 and i'm downloading the programme from the apple site.
I just dont know what to do to fix this problem..Have you tried "Run" instead of "Save?"
Do you have anti-virus software on the PC? If you do, try disabling the anti-virus for just 15minutes to allow the download to finish.
Hope one of those helps. -

Currently i have the 8.0 itunes and 7.2 quicktime because I read the new quicktime wasnt compatible but the problem with that is when I downloaded the new itunes it already comes with quicktime...? where do I start. In the taskmanager it shows itunes as running when I restart the computer before it turns off it shows that itunes.exe is ending...

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard installation system requirements
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24950
Leopard is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).
If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:
MB427Z/A Leopard 10.5.1 install DVD
MB576Z/A Leopard 10.5.4 install DVD
MB021Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (single user)
MB022Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (5-user family pack)

After you install the base 10.5, download & install the 10.5.8 combo update at http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update

Hello,
I need help! My itunes will not open in Windows Vista. I have tried everything suggested by the apple website. Even when I open itunes in safe mode, it still will not allow me to continue. I am assuming when it says something about Plug-ins that has something to do with the problem. Can anyone help me?Thanks King_Penguin for taking time to read and reply.
I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.
Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions. Could you please explain?
I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items. -
Itunes will not install on windows 7 home
Any one had this issue
Itunes will not install on windows 7 homeGo to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

I tunes will not download on windows 8.1
i tunes will not download with windows 8.1
i dont get any message, its just gets stuck while downloading, and will not finish.
Many thanks.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
If you still can't get a working installer from the standard download page, try the following direct download links for 11.1.5.5:
iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-02-25)
iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-02-25) -

Latest iTunes will not download
Can someone please help me download the latest iTunes for windows? I go to the update page and click on download, and the page that loads is one that says "Thank you for downloading iTunes 7" but nothing at all downloads. Nothing happens except that page comes up.
I have version 6.0.5 and just recently got the internet. I have turned off all firewalls but will not load on my computer. I have a Dell 7400C with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 as my operating system. Kind of outdated I know but I wasn't able to use it for almost 2 years. The OP says the update will not download for them, hence my suggestion.
If you have attempted to install the update and the installation has failed read on...
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in the appropriate support document which includes some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Hello Neil,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If iTunes will not download through Software Update, you can download it directly from our website.
