ITunes will not even download!!!

I don't know what the heck is going on here.
I have been trying to download and install iTunes for a LONG time.
The iTunes program (and/or Quicktime) gets to 72% and then the download stalls out. I have downloaded many other files without a problem, but dozens of attempts to download apple software have all failed.
I tried leaving the download overnight and a few times I have returned to find the download complete, but the program will not install. When this happens I get an error saying that the program is not a valid win32 application.
Finally frustrated to my wits end, I formatted the hard drive and did a fresh install of Win XP SP3 and tried again, with the same failed results.
I am using a PAYG 3G USB dongle in the UK.
Any help is appreciated.

i have the exact same problem with this, is it maybe the dongles we are using do you think???
its getting very fustrating

Here is the message my IPhone 4 is stating, "Error no successful firmware download after 60000 ms!! Giving up..."ITunes will not even recognize it, any ideas?

No, it has something to do with the firmware on the phone itself. The phone won't do anything. I have used redsn0w to try and put the firmware back on, no luck though. The farthest I am able to go is DFU mode. The message on the screen says, "Error no successful firmware download after 60000 ms!! Giving up..."

  • HT201272 I've accidentally deleted purchases from appearing in iCloud, and iTunes will not even let me re-purchase them, let alone make them appear in "previous purchases" to download.

Are the items still available in the store, and if so have you hidden them (hiding and unhiding) ? Not all content types are available for re-downloading in all countries, and if the content provider has removed an item from the store then it also won't appear for re-downloading.

  • ITunes will not even open

Okay, disregard my SN, because I'm really upset right now. iTunes has just decided on it's own that it's not going to function properly any more. This couldn't be worse because I have to leave for a 3 hour drive and I have no music now because this software is horrible.
I've reinstalled and restarted an incomprehensible amount of times and I have been looking but can't find a clear cut answer. I double click my shortcut icon on my desktop and nothing happens. I can double click until the freakin' cows come home and nothing happens. I even tried to crash my computer by highlighting the icon and holding the enter key (bad idea, I know, but I'm ******). iTunes was working just an hour ago, and now it's dead.
Please help me. This is hands down the worst music software I've ever used. It always gives me errors and crashes. The only reason I haven't created an account here before is because my roommate is a Computer Science major and has been able to help me. However, not even he knows what the **** is the matter.
I need help immediately, any is appreciated!
And to Apple, I'm very disappointed.

Belated Happy Thanksgiving...with that aside, I don't particularly know what to tell you. I followed the link's directions and took out the stuff that appeared to meet the description. I will tell you though that the dates didn't exactly match up to when the system stopped working. It was off by as much as 2-3 days. I was only suspicious of them because I hadn't installed or downloaded anything in that time frame. If you look at the previous stuff I wrote, there are some of the files I found. The "woypwp.exe" was the one I found running when I compared it to the task manager. That date also didn't line up with when it stopped working, but it apppeared strange so I took it out and now everything is working as before..actually better..pop-ups stopped too. Good luck

  • How do I remove the icon for file version 4.42.0.0 since it will not even download?

For quite awhile I have successfully used file version 34.0.5 with no issues. Recently, I had an icon the popped up on my desktop for file version 4.42.0.0. I tried to download it, just so it would move to my control panel, so I that I could uninstall it, It will not download. So, then I uninstalled, and reinstalled 34.0.5 to see if that would solve the issue of installing 4.42.0.0, no still nothing. I really don't want or need 4.42.0.0, so how do I get rid of it ?

  • Itunes will not finish download

    Hello,
I click on download itunes, put in my email address, click download again.  The download box pops up and I click "Run" when I'm prompted the next two windows.  After that, a progress bar comes up by itself and it shows the bar go all the way across as if it were complete, and then nothing happens from there.
In the programs list, the actual iTunes program does not show, but the iTunes installer package does.  I have tried removing the iTunes installer package but get a message saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable".
I'm running Windows XP Home Edition
    Thanks in advance

I have done all of these things multiple times, at least twice before I opened the Help Desk Ticket.  No change after doing the process.
This was a reply to an earlier "Help Desk" person
    Yousuff,
I followed your instructions to no success. The exact same two episodes refuse to download, with the exact same conditions I reported. I do IT for a NASA contractor so I understand the support process companies use & getting through the beginning troubleshooting process for remote users, so let's move on.
    1) I don't see the issue as related to downloads being enabled or marked finished 38 other items successfully came down before & after my initial issue.
    2) The problem is repeatable with the exact same results.
    3) My machine has been shutdown since yesterday morning. I booted it, launched iTunes & am now in the same state as before, both episodes stuck @ 1.8 mB in the download & it will stay in this state until I restart iTunes, now matter how long I wait.
    4) My machine is running Mavericks & iTunes is 11.1.3 (8). Our internet provider is Comcast. My mini is on a wired network.

  • Itunes will not stop downloading a song Help!!!

I can't get itunes to stop downloading a song. I have tried everything I know how which probably isn't much, however it isn't fixing the problem. Please someone tell me what to do!

In a peculiar twist, in 11.1.1 two particular podcasts (Science Friday audio & video) have two particular weeks of episodes (one was last week, so it may extend to the future as well) that won't delete permanently.  When you delete the already played episodes, they just download again on a refresh.  That behavior is described in lots of places.  I thought it might be a bug in the RSS code, but I've compared SciFri with some others that don't have the problem and can't identify anything glaring.
The peculiar twist is that if I mark the already listened to episodes as Played (so I don't have to look at the large counter number), after awhile they show up as unplayed again!  Some bit deep down in the iTunes innards is not sticking as it should once episodes are played, and it's apparently an intermittent issue that affects only certain podcasts.  One would think it couldn't have anything to do with the actual audio or video content, so it must have something to do with the XML or the metadata being read or set wrong.
Very vexing, because without constant policing, downloads and disc space keep accumulating - a problem for those on limited data plans.

  • My iPhone 3 is stuck in Recovery Mode and now will not even come up in iTunes

I bought my phone last week and only received it yesterday and last night, i was updating it on itunes, when it went into recovery mode.
I have tried many different ways of getting it out and nothing has helped at all.
And now, my iTunes will not even recognise the device.
When I was trying to restore the phone it kept coming up with code 1015.
    Please help!

  • ITunes will not download update (either iTunes versions or iPhone software)

Need some help with a connection problem. iTunes will not fully download either an iTunes update or the iPhone software update. I am quite sure the problem is the wireless connection but I don't know how to solve.
I am running Belkin Wireless N networking with Windows XP Media Center with all updates and iTunes is the only place I have an issue. If I run a hard line to my router and hook to the LAN card, all downloads work fine. If I try to use the wireless, I get this message when I try to get the iPhone software update. "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone "XXX's iPhone". The network connection was reset. I get the same message when I try to download an iTunes update.
Any ideas on what to do to get around this?
    Thanks for the help.

I have updated the firmware on my router, reinstalled the driver for the wireless in the PC, cleared all temp files and cache. I got iTunes to update itself. However, the 3.0.1 iPhone update will not get fully downloaded before the connection resets. I tried it 3 times last night and got to 260M the 1st time, 220 the 2nd time, and 10M the 3rd time. Is there a direct weblink to the iPhone software update that I could try to get with a browser?
    Thanks

First you need to uninstall it according to Apple's directions here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Next download the free Ccleaner and clean your Registry
    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
Then downlod iTunes from the Apple website
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/
you will not lose your iTunes content.
