ITunes will not install or uninstall - error 2330

I need some help!
itunes will not recognise my iphone so I have tried to uninstall, reinstall, repair itunes but with no success. I have also tried to delete the files but it will not let me. Each time I try any of these things it comes up error 2330.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

The 2330 is consistent with disk/file damage, rio. So first let's try running a chkdsk over the drive your program files are installed on (usually the C drive). There's instructions and a guided help in the following Microsoft document:

Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you reinstall iTunes now?
If not, let us know the full name and file path of the file or folder that your 2330 is complaining about. (Precise text, please.)

Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes and/or iTunes64 entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

You probably need to either uninstall and reinstall itunes or to download the apple application support by itself
you can download the itunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/ here
then to do a complete uninstall / reinstall follow these instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
you could also use 7zip to extract the individual installer for apple application support from the itunes setup file http://www.7-zip.org

When opening iTunes on my new Windows 7 PC I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times to no avail, even tried it on a different user account and still nothing. I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.

I am trying to find a fix for this...just bought a new computer with windows 7, all updates have been performed. Itunes will not install...it just stops and says "windows installer service not available" Can't find a stand alone downloadable version of installer 5.0 which is what comes with 7 from the research I have done. itunes will not install, keeps trying to save to g:/ drive when it does not exist, will not let me change drive?

+"E:\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\sv.lproj\Ringtone.nib". The file is there and if you clik on it it says it is bad. It is marked read only and will not let me change this or delete it or anything. After you clik cancel install another message box comes up and says:"The installer has encounted an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. Yeah, the 2330 is usually associated with a bad file or folder interfering with an install.

Error R6034 during update. iTunes will not open due to error.

Get Error R6034, Application attmempting to load C runtime library incorrectly. iTunes will not install ammanulaly and now iTunes will not open due to error.

Try updating your QuickTime Player to the latest version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
