ITunes will not install - System not modified?

Hello,
I keep having problems downloading iTunes on my computer. Once the installer starts running, it ends with the following message:
"iTunes Installer Completed
The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified.
Please run the installer again, or click Finish to exit."
If anyone has had this problem on their PC and found success, I would be glad to hear the steps and solutions that worked.
Thank you!

I had the same problem.I tried every solutions on the net but nothing worked.Luckily on that very day my free avast antivirus date expired(I dont currently have a paid antivirus) and I uninstalled it.Then I tried to install itunes and did it on the first go.But I am using a windows 7 32 bit so it might not work for you as you are on the 64 bit.Actually the antivrus was the culprit.Hope it helps. Thanks

  • HT204088 I installed iphone 5 from iTunes backup but still have one app showing [ ! ] not installed can not find file . How do I get rid of this pop up

I installed iphone 5 from itunes back up and get a pop up [ ! ] app not installed can not find file. I have looked through everything that have with "CANADA" in the app title. That is the only info there is.

If you haven't found out which app it is then if you go into list view in the Apps part of your library do any of the apps have an exclamantion mark against them ? If they do then they are the one(s) that iTunes can't find the actual app file(s) for - if you delete that app from your library then if it is still in then you should be able to re-download it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes, or you can just download it directly on your phone via the Purchased tab in its App Store app

    Hi all,

I have tried different solutions from different posts over the internet but colud not get fruitfull results.
Please help me out in this regard to continue...

As already said, this looks like a powerbuilder issue, related to how it "finds" Oracle client/oci libraries.
Assuming this is on Windows, you could use Process Monitor from Sysinternals to watch what your app does (e.g. where it looks for dll's). It's a great troubleshooting tool: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645
Google provides some results with similar issues. Maybe you have tried most of it already, but at least as a reference for others: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=powerbuilder+%22oracle11g+or+higher+client+is+not+installed%22

  • After installing the OS 10.10.3 update iTunes will not open.  Re-downloading iTunes and re-installing did not help.

After downloading and installing OS 10.10.3 iTunes will not open.  Spotlight does not find it.  I have repaired permissions, re-downloaded iTunes, and re-installed it.  The problem remains.  ITunes appears in the directory of Applications, the update shown in the info in Finder.  Double clicking does not open it.

  • Application not installed - computer not authorized

    Dear Experts,
I'm going mad trying to get my wife's iPhone to sync her applications (why does she always get the difficult problems?). She has a new iPhone - the last one she managed to flush down the toilet. I'm trying to reinstall the applications that she previously bought. For all applications I get the message "The application XXX was not installed on the iPhone YYY because you are not authorised for it on this computer".
Note: 1) The PC is authorized because I can (re)download the applications concerned. 2) I can also access my wife's Store account.
Now I have surfed the web and tried the various things suggested, including:
    1) Double clicking the applications in the iTunes application folder. When I do this I'm asked to authorize the application for the PC, which I then do and it (seems to) accept it. However if I immediately double click again, again I'm asked to auithorize the application again????.
    2) I have completely removed iTunes and everything, including the Apple Computer directory in the Vista "roaming" folder. I have then reinstalled it and reconfigured it, reauthorized the PC and redownloaded the applications. The result is the SAME, arrrgghhhh!
So, anyone got any idea what is going on? At the moment I feel like taking an axe to the damned thing. This 'authorization' business is a pain in the ...
    Thanks in advance.

  • Device drivers not installing - therefore not recognised by iTunes

    Hi,
Desperately seeking some help with this. Purchased a new iPad 2 couple of weeks ago.
Plugged into laptop to sync with iTunes (already have an iPhone so just wanted to sync some of my content to new device)
The device didnt materialise in iTunes. Now since the new update I hadn't upadated iTunes to version 11.01 or my iPhone to iOS 6 - with the ipad already operating on iOS6 I thought this might have been due to iTunes not being up to date.
So tried to update iTunes - here the problems began.
I cant even remember what happened first, but the update didnt work, and after searching these forums I gathered the safest thing to do was to uninstall iTunes and quicktime and re-install.
I hadn't researched in enough detail to realise about all the other programmes that needed uninstalling as well as the bits that the windows uninstal leaves behind in the registry.
Eventually (took ages) I managed to get around this using Revo uninstaller and completely uninstalled everything and succesfully re-installed iTunes.
It appeared to work fine, update succesful etc..
Then plugged in the iPad and to my dismay still no joy.
After monitoring 'the device driver software is not correctly installed'.
I have scoured these forums for this problem and I think I have tried everything and still no luck at all.
I have re-installed itunes (again - 3 times since the first succesful re-install)
I have run through the iPad troubleshooting assisstant.
I have attempted using device manager to point the system to the driver in Program Files - this just times out, attempted using MSCONFIG to identify any conflicts and no joy.
Attemped launching in another user account on the computer with Admin priveleges - nothing works.
Have obvously tried all USB ports, old and new cables, resetting device etc
Final idea was a warning code Ive had come up upon launch of iTunes after updating:
"Warning! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I reinstalled the driver for this using regedit but still nothing.
Have also just checked and the system doesn't recognise my iPhone either, which has been synced with this computer hundreds of times in the past.
The decvices do not appear in computer, only device manager with their name (i.e. IPad) with a question mark/warning sign next to it.
Im using windows 7, 64 bit.
Can anyone help, please - before these nice Apple products get thrown from the window - swiflty follwed by my laptop - and I become a technology free monk?
Apologies if re-posting but I cant find anything identical or anything similar that solves the problem and have had enough of it now!!
Only option I can think of is a complete windows reboot which I really don't want to do - especially as I suspect the problem is to do with the Apple software on my PC (which is why Ive posted in iTunes as opposed to iPad)?
Any assistance greatly appreciated, happy to provide more info if helps?
    Many thanks

Anyone able to help with this?

  • My Applet not running in java not installed systems.

    dear sir/madam,
i have an applet which uses java.awt.* and java.awt.event.* classes, is running in systems with J2SE installed. but it is not running in systems with java enabled browsers without J2SE installation.
i want my applet to be run in all java enabled browsers without J2SE also.
how to make my applet work.
    thanks in advance.
    -- ks_moses

install J2SE to develop Java programs..
install JRE to run your Java Programs
To run your applets into such a browser, you must have a plugin installed on that browser to run your applet, so install JRE(Java Runtime Environment), it will install the Java plugin automatically so you can run your applets, GoodLuck

  • Apples Store not installing system updates on Yosemite.

Am I the only one having this issue?
I tried to install the 10.10.1 update via app store and it goes through the motions shows installed then immediately show update button again. I restart and check about mac and nothing still 10.10.
    Same for safari 8.0.2.
I did a reinstall of the system files and it seems that it's still having this problem . It installed 10.10.1 in the install (since it pulls newest files from apple) but checked apple store today and tried to instal 8.0.2 and it shows update button, continue dialog, restarts safari, then shows update button again. The history says I've installed 8.0.2 7 times, ye about is still at 8.0 and update button still shows.
I really don't want to do a full wipe install. Any ideas? (I've cleared PRAM already and nothing).

This is promising news. I found in the logs that there is a permission issue:
Dec 23 09:40:26 Joseffs-iMac-2.local softwareupdated[231]: Failed to write state: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=513 "You don’t have permission to save the file “com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.SUUpdateServiceDaemon.state”." I tried disk repair. Will try booting to safe mode and disk repair too -- other then that I'll wait for 10.10.2 and if not working do a new format reinstall.

  • Leopard will not install+volumes not readable

After unrepairable HD error, managed to resurrect computer with OSX10.4.11 on a new 500GB PATA drive. Once almost everything was working (cannot currently send email despite settings being same as Macbook Pro running Leopard) I decided to update to Leopard. I had been advised not to start afresh with Leopard until the existing system was working.
On first attempt at the Leopard upgrade - the installation failed saying HD was wrong format. Using Disk utility from Tiger System DVD confirmed that no permissions errors and that it was Mac OS Extended (Journaled) which I thought was correct.
Second attempt and this HD now has Yellow triangle with Exclamation mark stating that I cannot install on this HD.
I have another new 500GB PATA drive which I can slot into the computer. I was advised about partitioning to 2x250GB. What type of install ought I to do bearing in mind that I have spent many hours resurrecting the OSX 10.4.11 software with settings etc.
Another issue is that 2 of the existing HDs are no longer readable in the current OSX 10.4.11. They are detected in Disk Utility, but no longer display Volume name. When I restart computer, it gives the following dialogue box.
    Disk Insertion
The disk you inserted was not readable by the computer
Then 3 buttons: Initialize, Ignore or Eject
So far I have been pressing Ignore as I do not want to wipe data. Mac Help hasn't been able to when searching for Disk Insertion or Initialize or Initialise.
The jumpers are set to cable select, previously I'd had them set up as Master and slave, changing back hasn't had any positive effect. They were previously readable when I thought the main HD was on the way out. The Finder wasn't functioning properly in main account. A new Admin account had all working well - so I used this to transfer vital data to other drives from the one I thought was failing. One worked temporarily, but then underwent this seemingly irreversible change. The data is backed up on external HD, but want to avoid relying on this if possible.
When resurrecting OSX10.4.11 on new HD, I tried copying user settings and the fault was transferred identically - Disk Utility had indicated the fault was of a Hardware Nature and was unable to repair the disk. Therefore I wiped the new disk and installed OSX10.4.11 copying just the applications. No problems - just the hassle of setting up software in manner I like.
Many thanks and apologies for long nature of post - felt that issue is complex and needed full information.

Woah, the disc does not even show up in the menu of Startup Disk.
I am starting to think my mother may have possibly bought the wrong disc?
The wrong install disc, a disc not built for G5.
