When I try to upgrade to itunes 7.3 or 7 it said that there was something wrong with the package. It said code 2738 was the problem. PLEASE HELP!!!

You won't be able to redeem it unless you are here in the UK with a UK billing address on your account - all iTunes gifts (including gift cards) are country-specific.
Your friend could try resending it to somebody else who is in the UK : Resend iTunes Gifts - Apple Support

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! This is a common alert message when your Apple ID has not yet been configured for use with the iTunes Store. To configure it, you should have the option to “Review” - at which time you can add a payment method to your account. For more information, check out this resource:

I currently have version 10.6.3 for iTunes. After downloading the new IOS7 software, my phone will not let me transfer music to it without version 11.1 of iTunes. I have gone through and downloaded the missing versions of iTunes (10.6.8, 10.7) and when i try to upload them onto my computer, I receive and error message saying I need version 10.6. Please help!

Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.
When you sync to another it will delete the current content.
Make sure you have copied everything from your old computer to your new one first.

I've simply sat here so frustrated....my husband sync'd his new iPhone 4 no problem, somehow the checkbox shows Encrypted password and I'm at a loss on how to change this/find the password and transfer my old backup onto my new phone so I can use it. Try downloading the songs from a different device. If you are doing it from your iOS device, try form your computer.

ITunes will not let me sync my iPad 2...

iTunes will not let me sync my 8 month old, previously synced iPad 2. It is no longer recognized over Wi-Fi and when i plug it in via USB I am given the 'Set Up Your iPad' screen. I have tried restoring from a backup, and that successfully restores my iPad but iTunes still will not recognize this. My only options remain 'setup as a new iPad' or 'Restore from the backup...'
Any ideas what I should do? I have tried both soft and hard reboots, closed/reopened itunes, rebooted my MacBook...nothing has worked. Should I suck it up and try resetting to the factory settings? Or does this sound more like an issue with the iPad?

ISSURE RESOLVED - there was an interupted/corrupt backup of this device that had to be deleted. After deleting this backup file, iPad was recognized without issue...only wish is hadnt tried 'restoring from backup' first since my settings were reverted to that previous date once issue was resolved.

Try this:
Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
   1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
       other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.

       until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
              * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the

3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
       device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
       let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some

       When this screen appears you can release the Home button:

Your parents are trying to protect you from the ugly side of the adult world
You've turned on the Parental/Content Restrictions by mistake
Look in iTunes at Edit/Preferences/Parental>Content Restrictions>Restrict explicit content and make sure the tick is not in the checkbox.
