ITunes will not open and tells me to use the "information" to open in 32 bit rather than 64. but the information pane does not offer that option ...
I am trying to open my iTune 10.4 on my mac mini which is running OS 10.6.8, and I get the message that I need to use the information pane to open in 32-bit rather than 64. But the information pane does not offer this option. I'm in a vicious circle of opening, getting this message, then having to close. Did this come about after the June update of iTunes? And if so, why haven't they fixed it? And what can I do? You'd think Apple would want be to be able to spend my money in their store ...
Try following steps and test one at a time:
1. Restart computer, right mouse click iTunes icon and select "Run As Administrator"
2. If that does not work, check to see if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, to prevent having to do the same process everytime you restart Windows, go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows.
3. If that fails or you don't see ApsDaemon.exe in the Processes, refer to following article to remove SC files:

4. If that fails, repair or reinstall your Quicktime. START / CONTROL PANEL / PROGRAMS N FEATURES / hightlight QUICKTIME and click REPAIR.

Trying to change ownership of my old iPod. The advice here is to go to "Devices">"Summary">"Restore", but I find "Devices" does not offer "Restore" but only "Sync", "Transfer", "Backup", and a greyed "Restore from backup."
What I don't understand is that your iTunes looks different from mine--just a little bit. You have 3 circles, red, yellow, and green, in the upper right end of the top bar. INstead I have a square that is half gray. When I click it, I get a menu very similar to the menu under "File."
The only place I see an entry for "Devices" is under "File," but it only gives the 4 options I mentioned before (see below). There is no "Summary."
Here's another screen shot after I added an album to music. Now all the choices under "Devices" are grayed. -
I've been trying to get the spreadsheet in numbers to be portrait rather than landscape, but cannot seem to be able to work out how. Maybe it's not possible, does anyone know how?
Open the inspector by selecting the menu item "View > Show Inspector", then click the "Sheet" segment at the top, then click the landscape button in the "Page Layout" section:

In the past, when I moved an image from the frame where I would store all the media I may want to use in a particular project, to the upper frame where you create the project, the image would only show up as a single frame. Now, it is showing up and looking more like a video clip, repeated 8 times and with a "torn edge" at the end. When I play the image, it only shows up a single time. I am not able to edit each frame individualy. The Ken Burns icon only appears in the upper left corner of the first image. I must have accidently changed a setting somehow, but don't remember doing this. While the quality doesn't seem to be affected, it is taking me much longer to go back through the images and crop/fit them.
I am using imovie '08 and would consider myself an extreme novice.I should clarify, when I meant I can only edit the first image, I don't mean only the first image of the project, but rather the first image of the 8 repeats.
I should also add that the project didn't begin this way. I added enough images and then put the first song on. When I started adding the photos that would be shown as the next song played, that is when they showed up as repeats of 8 AND all the previous images did the same. That is why I am thinking I changed a setting when I added the music, but if I did, it was done accidentally and I can't seem to back track and find what I did. -
Dbacockpit overview pane does not get populated

We applied all relevant support packs which were part of Support stack 13. This involved also patching SAP BASIS from 10 to 13. Also NW04S 700 kernel was upgraded to patch 114 (SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB SAR packages)

Tcode dbacockpit does not refresh data in the overview pane.
note: db02old still works and we are able to refresh stats from there but dbacockpit overiew pane does not get populated.
Also post support packs: sap_collector_for_performance runs successfully but reports in job log database system is not supported
When we do a refresh via dbacockpit, the job refresh space statistics ends with a compute bcd overflow dump.
CHECKS ALREADY MADE
--Note 1066044 for the BCD overflow dump does not help. We are already at BASIS pack 13 and the correction contained in the note is already in place. As
per the note since are already at BASIS SP13 we should not be facing this. Why are we facing this then ?

[email protected]For this issue it's still not working for me in Sanbox BI. I got a SAP message open for this. But I got it to work on Dev and TST systems. There was one mistake I was making. This may not be the cause though but just for your info. When we go to dbacockpit, click on collector setup icon. And there when we give connection name = "default" and then action as "create connection", I was not saving the variant. Click save and give a name to the variant like "refresh stats" or something. Then click refresh icon so that the "Refresh space statistics" will run in background. When I saved the variant on dev and test BI I did not end with a BCD overflow dump for the "refresh space statistics" job.The refresh space stat job needs to find the variant name.And this then populated the dbacockpit -> space -> overview pane. Although the "perf for monitor" job still has log entries "db system not supported" that doesn't matter. It's probably a message we can ignore.
Also if you are still facing prob, check these.
You say you are on SP12 which SP component are you referring to (stack number ?. BASIS ? BW ?). Make note I have done the support stack 13 which contains upto the BW patch upto 15 and upto BASIS patch 13. Note 1066044 says if you have BASIS 13 you won't face this problem .
Is your "perf for collector" job running without issues. That is a prereq to the "Refresh space stats" job. Try to troubleshoot that as well. I think the refresh stats job has to find the data in table MONI which gets populated via "perf for collector" (RSCOLL00).

Synchronization error occurred - you try syncing again. But a re-synchronization does not help.

When I try to sync my contacts with my Bold 9700, comes after a few seconds, the message, "synchronization error occurred - you try syncing again. But a re-synchronization does not help. A couple of contacts (20%) are transferred, then the process is canceled again and again. undecided

When I try to log onto my Apple ID to use facetime, it will not work and tells me to check my connection. I have even tried creating a new apple ID but the same message appears. I do not understand why this is happening, could anyone help me resolve this issue it is very frusterating that I can not enable facetime or imessage.
I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

we recived ipads today in school to use as a tool and they said if i sync it to my itunes my itunes will be erased and all the ipad stuff currently on there would be erased the second i connect to the school i was wondering if this was possible? i already pointed a couple things that they said was true but were false like useing that find my ipad thing were it just zooms in on your location they also said it would beep and they can track it anywhere witout a 3g network which we use the wi fi. teachers can connect to itunes i belive becasue they don't have the same rescrtictions as use students but early in the year they said one teacher tried and failed with the results that said would happen to use. besides ristrictions like loseing the app store and not being aloud to open any app wemb adresses we are to add music via the itunes that i already on the ipad. i was just wondering if there full of it right now because i think they are.
If I were a teacher setting up iPads to be used at school/work, I wouldn't link it to my personal iTunes, rather I'd create/use a different one. If for no other reason than to keep the kidlets and your fellow teachers from possibly accessing your account.

MyiPod classic won't charge. I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8 and when I plug in my iPod, iTunes will recognize it and sync, but will only charge during the syncing process. Any suggestions?

Assuming you are talking about porting a presentation prepared in Keynote '09 on OSX to be used on an iOS Device such as iPad, you should know that most but not all of the animations will be preserved. Those that can't be replicated in iOS are replaced by Keynote.

You can find the sync password and the sync key in the password manager on the computer where you originally created that sync account (email).
