  • My itunes will not open in Windows Vista, I have tried everything suggested on the apple website, there is some type of plug-in issue..can someone please help me?

    Hello,
I need help! My itunes will not open in Windows Vista. I have tried everything suggested by the apple website. Even when I open itunes in safe mode, it still will not allow me to continue. I am assuming when it says something about Plug-ins that has something to do with the problem. Can anyone help me?

Thanks King_Penguin for taking time to read and reply.
I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago.  I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam.  I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.
Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions.  Could you please explain?
I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items.

  • ITunes will not open in Windows 7, 32-bit

I had to reinstall Windows 7.  Since then, iTunes will not open.  I have uninstalled iTunes and all related Apple products and reinstalled several times.  It tries to open up for about 3 seconds and then nothing.  Quicktime opens fine, but no iTunes.   HELP!!

Hi, hopefully you have solved this now but if not I had a similar problem with an earlier version of iTunes.
To solve it I had to go into the services menu and shut down a service called 'Bonjour'. Then once iTunes was loaded restart the bonjour service in order to be able to connect a device to it.
There are also 2 other services one called 'apple mobile device' the other called 'iPod service' which are also known to cause loading problems.
Hope this is helpful or not needed

  • Bought iPad, but iTunes will not open in Windows 7.  Old version of iTunes was loaded from Windows XP SP 2.  Help

The new version of iTunes will not open on new computer with Windows 7.  Old version of iTunes was Windows XP SP2 carried over from old computer.  There seems to be some type of color incompatability.  Any help?

Uninstalled old iTunes, deleted all old iTunes files in Program Files folder, except two that would not delete, and deleted all iTunes I could find in the registry.  Downloaded and install latest version of iTunes.  iTunes will open and quickly close with black windows, twice.  Troubleshooting says "incompatible Application."  Any suggestions?

  • ITunes will not open on Windows Vista after upgrading to new version

After installing the latest version, my iTunes will not open. I have uninstall and reinstall two times and still nothing, any suggestions or tips?

King Penguin set you on the right track. It's probably security software not recognizing the new version of itunes, and blocking it.

  • ITunes will not open in Windows 7 64 bit

I've uninstalled and installed 3 times now and still can't get it to open.  I've visited, and tried, everything Google brings up, nothing.
Can someone out there please help me??
I'm thinking I had this issue once before and needed to delete, then cut & paste another file into one of the iTunes file extensions.  Does this ring a bell??

I am also having a problem with Itunes 64bit in Windows 7.  It was working fine until a few days ago and now it will not open.  When it does, it becomes unresponsive.  I have tried the above, no luck.  I tried repairing it, nothing.  I have uninstalled an reinstalled-again it either does not open or it immediately becomes unresponsive.  I have checked for malware with Malwarebyes, nothing was found.  i think there is probably a problem with one of my settings or perhaps a file is missing/corrupted-but I don't know how to check.  It will not open in safemode.
    any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • TS1717 itunes will not open in windows 7 and it did in the past?

Two months ago I was able to open itunes with my Windows 7 PC and now it will not open.  Can anyone provide me any assistance?

Do you get an error message when you try to launch iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

  • New itunes will not open in windows 7

recently downloaded new itunes.  I will not open in my PC using windows 7

I couldn't open iTunes after installing the latest update of Windows 7, here is what I finally did that WORKED:
    1) uninstall iTunes
    2) uninstall QuickTime Player
    3) download and install the latest version of QuickTime Player
    4) download and install the latest version of ITunes
From other message boards it seems that the problem occurs when you are running an older version of QuickTime Player. It will prevent iTunes from opening, even if you've been keeping your iTunes updates current.
I maybe could have just uninstalled/reinstalled QuickTime Player, but I decided to remove both and start fresh in case there were corrupted files. Hope this works for you also.

  • My Itunes will not open in windows

Every time I try to open Itunes I get an error message about the Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

  • ITunes will not open in Windows XP Media Center

I have had my computer (Compaq SR1850NX) for over 6 months and ran iTunes flawlessly on it since then. I recently restored and formatted my computer and now when I attempt to use iTunes it will not work.
The install process works fine with no errors, but when I try to open the program it gives me the microsoft error reporting window (iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.). In light of this I attempted to re-install itunes 7 several times as well as trying itunes 5 which came with my ipod. Nothing is working, I've scoured the apple support site for hours and have found no solution.
I would like this problem fixed, since I am unable to update anything on my iPod without iTunes.

How frustrating I know...So, iTUNES is not there in the processes tab? Well, thats no good. Is quicktime there at all?
