ITunes will not recognize my Apple password on my iPad.  I have tried resetting the iPad.

I am trying to update some of the applications on my iPad. My email address recently changed. I made the appropriate changes in my Apple account. My Apple password is not being accepted when I try and use the update function on iTunes, eventhough the address had not changed.  Furthermore the address displayed on the iTunes is the old address eventhough  I have logged into my Apple account and made sure the email addresse and password is correct.  How can I make iTunes accept my password and display my new email address?

Hey guys,
first of all: Sorry for my bad english
Here you can find the german version: http://www.netz-treff.de/forum/forum_entry.php?id=323268#e323268
I had the same problem, directly after updating my iPad2 to iOS6. Orientation lock was definitly not activited - I tested with software-lock from the dock and with hardware-lock on the side of the iPad.
I tried different ways to get back my screenorientation
First recovered the factory defaults, then restored from backups and at last I started it as a new iPad and not from an iCloud-Backup. I tapped the device (funny idea), but this didn't work also.
But now... it works!!
I runned the iPad-Power lower than less.
1% left and when the iPad was shuting down, I didn't connect the cable, I pushed the power-button again and again. The iPad shows the "oh, please charge me!"-Icon, but I didn't
Yesterday I pushed the power-button some times, but still didn't connect the cable.
Today I pushed the power-button 60 seconds and after that I tabbed all sides from the iPad (really funny idea, but I can't loose, so why not  ) and then I connected the power-cable and charged the iPad.
After some hours I started the iPad ... and it works
Later, after finishing party, I restored to factory defaults again and restored a backup from iCloud from the time  the screen orientation didn't work ... it workes.
Yeeeehhhaaaaa!!!

iTunes will not recognize my Nano 6th gen. as a device.  It has been recognized  in the past and iTunes does recognize my Nano 4th gen.  The device connects to the Mac and charges allright.  All of the functions on the Nano work but want to modify my music, I'm tired of the same songs etc.

I'm not sure if it charged when I hooked it up to my roommate's computer, but it definately didn't register either. If I put it on the dock it plays so the port is fine, but that still doesn't help me sync it to my computer.

  • TS1717 my iTunes will not open now on my Windows7 computer. I have tried clicking on the icon & it looks like it will load, then nothing. I have connecting my iPhone to my computer to open it & it won't. I have tried to uninstall/reinstall, & close it in

I have tried clicking on the icon on my desktop & in my programs. When that doesn't work, I tried connecting my iphone to my computer to open it up that way... nothing. I will wait almost 30 mins-1 hr, not just a few minutes & it never pulls up. I have uninstalled & reinstalled itunes. I have even tried to close the program in task manager & try opening it again. Nothing....

Download iTunes using the tab at the top of this page. Then run the update with iTunes closed.

  • ITunes will not recognize my apple tv through my wireless router

I purchased an Apple TV this week and cannot get it to show up in iTunes under devices. I have an iMac G4 without an airport extreme card. I have my iMac hard wired into my wireless NetGear Router. The Apple TV will access the itunes store directly. I spent all day yesterday working on fixing this with no luck. I was on the phone with apple and my cable company for almost three hours. They both blamed the other for the issue. When I go into preferences and select Apple TV, nothing is in the box below and when I check the Look for Apple TV box the screen closes out and nothing happens. I did connect my Apple TV unit directly to my iMac with an Ethernet cable and was able to get music on the hard drive. However, this was a temporary fix because all the songs were erased when I tried to wirelessly sync with iTunes again. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this? Thanks, Trey

  • My ipod classic turns on with apple logo then shuts off about 30 seconds later, when plugged in my windows and itunes will not recognize it.

earlier my itunes told me that my files were corrupted and I needed to restore, so I did.  In the middle of the restore I lost internet connection. Now my computer and Itunes will not recognize my Ipod and if it is not plugged in when I turn the Ipod on it only shows the apple logo then shuts off after 30 seconds.  If it is plugged in it will charge, but Itunes and Windows will not recognize it.  I have tried the menu + select shutoff multiple times with no change.  All it will say while it is charging is do not disconnect.

The clicking sound is your iPod Hardisk, trying to retract and find the boot sector unsuccesfully.
Hopefully, you can do the iPod Disk Diagnostic as in this great post by tt2., it wont fix your problem, but let you know, how dire is your Hardisk health.
So only as a last resort, one way, to get the stuck Hardisk head free, is to bang the iPod on a rubber mouse pad, when you reset it, but do it at your own risk, some very lucky guys got it working again for the next 14 months, like myself.

  • Whenever I update from Windows 7 get error 1602, iPod shows USB connection to iTunes, but iTunes will not recognize the device. None of the Apple documentation helps.

Whenever I update from Windows 7 get error 1602, iPod shows USB connection to iTunes, but iTunes will not recognize the device. None of the Apple documentation helps. The Apple Mobile Device driver is loaded and operating. The anti-virus software and firewall are not at fault (were uninstalled, and made no difference). The iTunes on my older machine running Vista does recognize the inoperative iPod (iTunes has detetced an iPod in recovery mode) and allows me to restore the device. Can anyone help to resolve this problem on the Windows 7 PC?

So yu tried all of this:
Error 1600, 1601, 1602: Try the following steps to resolve this error:
Ensure proper USB isolation troubleshooting has been performed, and test with a known-good cable.
Follow the steps listed for Error 1604.
This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
If you had then time for an appointment at ther Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Itunes will not detect my new nano. HELP! I have a dell with vista. my old shuffles work fine with itunes, but it will no longer detect my nano. Apple says my nano is fine.

I've worked with Apple 2 times. The first time we spent 2 hours on the phone uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, quicktime and other software and it worked for a while. Now, once again, itunes will not recognize my 6th generation nano. My old shuffle works fine. I sent the nano to apple and they shipped it back stating it was fine after upgrading firmware. However, it still will not be recognized from itunes. Please help, I'm totally lost and disappointed after spending money and so much wasted time on this thing.....
