ITunes will not sync my iPhone.

Up until recent I was able to sync my iPhone 3G successfully.
Lately, I have been getting the following error message: "iTunes cannot sync my phone because the iPod Photo Cache folder cannot be located."
I have contact Apple regarding this issue in hopes to gain resolution; however, Apple was not able to assist and suggested I post this in discussion and then maybe the Apple family experiencing the same issue may assist.
Can someone please advise?

The photo cache folder is where the computer stores the iPhone optimised images which transfer to the iPhone for viewing in the Photo's App. They are not the originals, but a reduced quality version.
The Apple store couldn't assist as the problem is on your computer.
If it can't find them, it should recreate them however the message suggests something deeper.
If you untick the 'Sync Photo's' on the Photo tab in iTunes, does the message go away on Sync ?
Or did you recently delete a folder from the Pictures folder called iPod Photo cache' or similar ?

I have a similar problem. Mine started with iTunes putting multiple versions of the same songs (whole and seemingly random albums) onto my iPod 5, but after trying to remedy that I now cannot sync any music of any sort. It took random songs off and then started getting stuck at the "waiting to apply changes" stage (as apparently many people have seen) and after trying all the things that are supposed to work I now have an iPod that doesn't have any music on it (because a lot of my music was not purchased on iTunes) and won't sync music or finish any other kind of sync.
It seems like the "fixes" discovered so far don't work for everyone.
My iPod is 5th gen running iOS 7.0.4 (but problem started on 7.0.3) with the latest version of iTunes, for reference.

My ipad or iphone will not sync with my Macbook pro. This is the first "windoze" type I have ever had with an apple product. Been using them since Mac SE.

Itunes hangs if opened but does not hang if I connect as a guest on my macbook. I have deleted libraries, reinstalled Itune but nothing changes.

Downloaded album in itunes will not sync with iphone

I copied several albums into itumes and synced with my iphone. Three albums did not sync. I tried several time and even tried to sync all music. The same three albums will not sync. They do play from itunes on my computer. Thoughts?

Itunes will not sync with iphone 6

I have tried all of the suggestions I can find on here, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, I have tried a hard reset with my iphone, I have tried plugging my phone into the different available ports. I am using the cord that my phone came with, and nothing is working. I need to sync and backup my phone but I am having no luck! ( I am running on Yosemite and my iphone 6 is up to date)
I have also deauthorized and reauthorized my computer. I have also deleted my old backups with the exception of my latest backup.
Can anyone help? I need to get my calendars synced as I rely on that due to running my own business.
I have attached a screen shot that shows my itunes, it does see the phone but will not allow me to click on it instead it just gets stuck.

A bit more info for those of you reading this.... the problem seemed to be in iTunes. For each connected device , if I clicked on the Photo option I could no longer select the second radio button for limiting the photos by Events, Albums, etc. It was an all or nothing deal. But selecting all would cause the error.
So I had read the other forum posts about the "&" symbol being the cause of the problem. I went through iPhoto and made all of the changes. It did not work. I then looked at iTunes, using the AlbumData2.xml file listed in the other forums as a reference. I found one album with the "&". I edited that one. Still would not work. So then I spent 3 hours on the phone with AppleCare last week. I talked with 4 different advisors. None of them had heard about the "&" error from the forums. We tried everything in iPhoto including repair and rebuild. Finally we created a whole new library and reimported my master photos from my original one. Using this option would allow me to now check off that radio button in iTunes. BUT... I now lost all of my albums and events and would need to rebuid them. I was not happy. They agreed and we set up time to talk this week.
So today I talked with AppleCare again. They now have more info and said the problem has to do with iTunes and the new iPhoto 9.4. It does not like the "&" symbol anywhere in either iPhoto or iTunes. So they now have me going through everything in my iTunes library. Genre is OK but any other item cannot have " & ". I have several dozen to edit and will do it over the weekend and then restore my original iPhoto Library and see if I can finally get it all to sync. I will let you know how I make out, but apparently you need to eliminate " & " from every entry in iTunes and iPhoto.
Quality control is not up to par with Apple these days.

Uploaded purchased cd to itunes, will not sync with iPhone 5, appears greyed out

I bought 2 cds recently. I put them onto iTunes via my MacBook Pro. I have settings to sync my entire music library, but these 2 cds do not sync and I can see they appear with a different status - sort of greyed out. Yet they are accessible on mac still.

A couple of months ago I started experiencing problems with my ipod touch syncing to my itunes, and the connection to the itunes store also became rather hit and miss. I decided to give it another go when I bought an iphone 4, which I did a couple of weeks ago. Despite updating my itunes to version 10.5 I am still experiencing the same problems. When I connect my iphone to my PC it gets to step 2 of the syncing process and then appears to be in some sort of limbo where it does not carry on working (the progress bar stays static rather than slowly increasing). I am also unable to connect to the itunes store (it does not recognise that there is a problem, rather it just says 'Itunes Store' in the main part of the screen, in some kind of Emperor's New Clothes scenario, as though it's trying to kid me). In addition I cannot connect to icloud in the control panel. I have no problems with connecting to the internernet, have defraged and done a disc cleanup and checked that the firewalls are not blocking connectivity.
Please, does anyone have any suggestions?

Awesome now I cant sync my phone. The error code is 13019. the iphone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred is the message. I deleted itunes and reinstalled it to no avail. Still shuts off in sleep mode. Thanks for the update!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First issue: Itunes will not sync with iphone 4s

i updated my iphone 4s to 6.1.3 and since then I cannot sync or "drag & drop" any music to my iphone. I have done a hard reset, restore to factory settings, deauthorize / authorize and pretty much anything else that involves checking and unchecking and as I expecting nothing worked. Am I missing some little detail because everything thing worked just fine before with itunes that is. I cannot do any wifi sync since my phone is also greyed out with wifi and bluetooth. If anyone has any other suggestions please entertain me because I am at a loss here.

Your iPhone has serious hardware error, at least a part of this is indicated by the grayed out Wi-Fi selection. If you have tried to Restore the iPhone with iTunes on computer, and still have problem, then there is no fix. If there is Warranty or AppleCare Coverage then take to Apple for resolution.

Whenever I open up iTunes and connect my phone with the computer, it stalls and stutters every 5 seconds. It never connects, and when I grit through the angering stutters, it sits and stutters some more while syncing.
I've downloaded iTunes 11 again and installed it, hoping it would over ride the old file. No luck, no changes.
iPhone 5 32GB AT&T - issues on both Wi-Fi sync and cable sync. During cable sync, Wi-Fi is turned off.

Itunes will not sync library to iPhone from hard drive

Have transferred Itunes library to an external hard drive to free up space on Windows XP. Library is recognised in file, but now will not sync when iphone is plugged in.

I'm also seeing weird sync issues since upgrading to iOS 7. The sync issues started when I first upgraded to iOS 7 so I suspect that iOS 7 is to blame and the other system differences aren't an issue (i.e. I also upgraded to Windows 8.1 but it never worked properly when I was on Windows 8). For me, the only way to "sync" all the smart playlists and music is to restore from backup and then the first sync seems to work. However, I haven't tried that recently (I tried it a month back or so and it worked then) because it is ridiculous to have to restore your phone just to sync things! Apple needs to fix the iOS 7 quality issues.
